Needed help with replacement of water heater that was leaking and still under warranty.
The original installer of the water heater could not schedule service for a month! (KJT Plumbing). They told me any plumber could handle the warranty work and referred me to Ferrin Ryco. The dispatcher at F & R even acknowledged the warranty situation. F & R showed up and said no, they couldn't do anything regarding replacement under warranty. They thought it was a defective pressure relief valve, replaced it, and it didn't fix the problem. Then said I could remove the water heater, take it to Rheem store to get replacement, and they could come back and install OR they could put in a new unit. Seriously? I called Rheem. They confirmed water heater needed replacement and sent a list of plumbers that could help me. I called one on the list and they solved my problem quickly and fairly. He had no problem working with the warranty situation. Call from Ferrin Ryco was basically a waste of $150. The plumbers seemed to have little authority to make any decisions. Had to keep calling the boss asking what they could do. The boss needs a lesson in what it means to provide good customer service.
I'm also very disappointed in KJT Plumbing. Why refer me to another plumber that would not help with the warranty? I know who I will be calling in the future for any plumbing needs and it won't be Ferrin Ryco or KJT Plumbing.

I own several commercial buildings. I deal with contractors almost on a daily basis. I have learned the most important qualities of any contractor is their honesty in doing the work and integrity to stand behind their work. Ryan Hall the owner of Ryco Plumbing is the most dishonest contractor if not person I have unfortunately ever dealt with not to mention a bold face lier. His word means nothing. The work he agreed to do for us was a relatively small ($3,000) job. We received a bill for almost three times the agreed upon amount. He said he did ""additional work"" to justify his bill. He was never authorized to do any ""additional work"". As we looked into his invoice, he claimed to work on buildings that did not even exist on the property. To make things worst the work he completed was done incorrectly and a sloppy mess. He was called out by two honest, competent plumbers. When he was asked to fix his work he seemed to care less and told us he would charge us more to come out and fix it. A man of real integrity. My dealings with Ryan Hall has cost me tens of thousands of dollars of lost business and legal fees because of his incompetent dishonest work. We have had to replace almost all his work by a competent plumber. My advise to any one contemplating to do anything with this guy is to turn and run as hard as you can the other way.

I asked for their services to install a tub. They gave us a price when we first asked stating it would be $95 for the first half hour and $95 every hour after. To my surprise when they sent the invoice they were charging me for 6 hours even though they were there for 4.5 hours. When I called they said they had decided (without my approval) to send an apprentice and therefore it would have taken 2 additional hours had they not sent him (speculation). When I called, the guy just chuckled about it while I was baffled I had to pay $190 extra because of an assumption on their part. Super disappointed, I was gonna use them to install a thermostat and service my AC but I guess I will be looking for a more professional company.

I had Ryco out to my home twice over a two year period in Phoenix. Both times, my main drain was clogged and backing up water into the house. The first time was under different pretenses than the second.

The first time, I came upon Ryco through a reference. Let's say that, in this case, I was a Ryco ""very valuable customer"" only because of my reference. Ryco determined that the blockage was in the street and was able to convince the city to dig into the street and fix the main drain. To put that in perspective, it's very difficult to convince the city to help, even in that situation, so I am thankful for that. I paid $2k.

The second time, Ryco convinced me that the main drain had been seriously compromised by very large roots (after some very awful initial service to attempt to clear the line - they let a guy who was a week into the job basically flood two rooms of our house to attempt to clear it, and I had to continue to call to make sure Ryco was still coming out for several days). Ryan (THE OWNER) was on site and told me that I needed to have a section of my main drain replaced under my driveway. I trusted him under the assumption that we were on the same terms as the first meeting. We were not.

Ryco quoted me $8k to do the work and only replace a small portion of my driveway, which would make it look awful. I instead paid a friend (with a local licensed plumber) $9k to dig out my entire driveway, replace the main drain, and re-do the driveway. Upon digging down, the team was shocked that there was no major root damage. The plumber arrived later and confirmed. He was very honest and from a family owned and operated company. He said that, unfortunately, many plumbing companies make their money of this type of situation and he has seen it countless times. We have pictures and video and many witnesses of the project willing to testify. I could sue. And frankly have the appropriate means to do so very effectively against Ryco. I'd rather Ryco just make it right. Ryan will know who I am by this post and will have the opportunity to make this right.

To be fair, I am not certain whether Ryco is completely incompetent enough to tell me I need to dig out my driveway for no good reason or if they did it nefariously. To be more fair, neither is acceptable.

Absolutely top-notch service! Had an air compressor go down at our shop rendering it dead in the water! They sent out a technician ASAP who was excellent! Mike was very thorough and Speedy with his work, you can definitely tell that he took Extra Care and Precision in doing his work. Highly recommend for any of your plumbing needs!

Total bait and switch from RYCO Plumbing and Michael. As a new homeowner I learned a valuable lesson, always get a written quote, especially from RYCO.

My first disappointment was, I thought I was getting a free quote on re plumbing our main valves outside the master bedroom. When the quote was pretty high I said we weren't going to be able to do that at this time. That is when Michael said there it was a service charge for coming out and giving a quote - they never told me over the phone about that. I don't remember exactly how much it was, but I believe it was over $100 because I remember thinking to myself, ""well that is 1/3 of what they were quoting for the work so if I owe him $100 for 10 minutes I might as well get the job done"". He said it should only take him two hours. He quoted under $100 in parts and labor would be the main cost.

They originally verbally quoted around $350 and he went out to work. I started getting nervous when hours and hours went by and I checked on him a few times because it was a hot August day in Arizona.

Finally Michael rang the doorbell and handed me the bill. It was $769.55!!! More than double than he originally quoted! I was shaking I was so mad - parts ended up being $232.50 alone - Labor was $498, then add on tax. I completely understand a job ending up taking longer than expected, that stuff happens. What I don't understand is I came out and brought him water multiple times and he never mentioned the parts more than doubling in price and I was home the entire time. Just knock on the door and give me an update, I'll probably give you the okay, but coming to me at the end of the job and shocking me like that is a total scam.

Luckily I had a coupon so the price went down to $697, that helped a little. To make matters worse, Michael drove off with my Harkins cup. I dislike that man very much. They also claimed they used all copper on my receipt no mention of PVC, but that was another lie. They spray painted it to look like copper and probably thought I wouldn't notice.

So before they claim they never serviced our home because it probably says I live in Sacramento, we moved from Mesa in 2015 and I have a receipt to prove service. I was actually hesitant to write a review while still living in the house because we disputed this bill so much that the owner actually came over to examine the job and ended up getting into my husbands face. I give him credit for taking the time to come over, but he was completely unprofessional and actually scared us.

I am a Real Estate Broker and have used Ryco Plumbing numerous times to fix plumbing problems on homes before we sell them and after we buy them. I'm always impressed with how fast they fit us in and their honest no nonsense approach to repairs. They came out 2 hours after I called them to fix a leaking valve last week, what more is there to say? Solid company, fair prices, easy to work with.

I was getting water bills showing tens of thousands of gallons of water usage per month. I went on You Tube to troubleshoot, and came across a video RYCO had done about my exact problem, so I called them, and was happy to hear they would send someone to my house within 2 hours. Very professional, found both issues right away, explained in detail the repair costs, so no surprises. Nice job very happy with service and my next water bill was back to normal.

Hired Ryco Plumbing to clear a clog in our sewer line. The incompetent plumber he sent, dropped the cleaning snake down the clean-out. He proceeded to cut the clean-out up to the point were it was unusable. After paying $694, for many hours of digging and cutting our plumbing up, he wanted to charge us $150 for camera work and $500 to repair the damage his plumber caused. We took him to court and recovered some of our losses... Use someone else!!
