A tech came over to diagnose a problem with my geothermal unit. He stated he would come back with the part for repair. He came back, completed the repair and handed me a bill that listed the actual part that was installed. i looked up the part / price and discovered that the invoice was @ $ 1,600. MORE THAN THE PART ACTUALLY COST AT RETAIL, ( THEY GOT IT CHEAPER ) THAT PUT THEM AT @ $ 2000. AN HOUR ) . WHEN I CONTACTED THEM TO DISCUSS THIS ISSUE, I WAS TOLD THEY HAVE INSURANCE, LABOR COSTS, TRUCK MAINTAINANCE... REALLY !!!
A MUST TO AVOID !!!
p.s. when the tech was leaving, i asked him to look at my other unit to check it out, preventive maintenance, he said he couldn't do it , i should call and schedule another appointment. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE !
Ryan Heating and Cooling always provides prompt and professional service that completely exceeds my expectations. I have used several heating and cooling companies in the past and Ryan surpasses them all.
Their customer services team actually works to please the customer at all costs which is extremely rare. It is never a pleasant experience when something unexpected happens to a heating, cooling or plumbing system in your home, however I am glad to know that Ryan will be there to fix the problem right the first time for a fair price.

Very happy with Ryan Inc. They are everything we expected and more. We love our new central air conditioning. All the guys that worked here at our home were on time, friendly, neat and did their job to perfection.
Highly recommended.
I wish I could describe the technicians skill level or quality of craftsmanship, but they'd have to show up first for that. I made an appointment, called them halfway through the time frame to confirm they were coming, and still received a cancellation call at the end of the window. So if you work for a living, this is not the company you want to deal with unless you enjoy taking time off and praying they find time to see you. I have heard from others that they have no qualms canceling their appointments in this fashion. They are simply the worst thing you could have in an HVAC and plumbing company, unreliable.
Steve G.As the author of the first Yelp! review for Ryan, and a very satisfied recipient of their services for both a boiler replacement and a new water heater, writing this update is legitimately painful. For their work on both major systems, we couldn't be happier with their service, merchandise or prices. For their servicing of this equipment, including the fulfillment of their contracted obligations under their ComfortPlus agreement, we are mightily disappointed.
A lot may have changed since our last major systems work, and it could very well be that Ryan has simply grown too fat from their commercial accounts to care about servicing residential customers. They remain courteous and professional when called, but their interest in service seems to end once the phone is hung up.
In late January we were experiencing sporadic stops-and-starts of our boiler. Ryan dispatched a service technician to perform a diagnostic analysis of the problem ($69). He seemed to be far more interested in selling a new circuit board ($647) and ComfortPlus contract than in actually repairing our boiler. Strictly from a layman's perspective, a plastic electrical connector was vibrating to the point of losing its electrical connection, causing the gas ignition to abruptly cut-off. The tech's ""diagnostic"" appeared to be little more than roughly toggling the connector left and right. In the process, he further loosened the connector, but did confirm my suspicion. We finished the 2017 heating season by manually toggling the connector when needed, and waking up to a cold house on many mornings.
Within two days of the tech running my Visa card through his tablet device, a series of unauthorized charges began appearing on our Visa statement; all very local. While I won't accuse Ryan of credit card theft or collusion, the coincidences are just too many to completely ignore.
In preparation for the current heating season I called Ryan in late October to have this connector replaced. We had received neither the annual maintenance inspection nor the preferential service response for which we had been paying ComfortPlus monthly premiums for ten months. In fact, Ryan wouldn't commit to anything less than a ridiculous four-hour arrival time window-- a week later. After waiting for their arrival an entire afternoon we received a call in the late afternoon that they were cancelling. Rescheduled for three days later, and with the same four hour window, this time they neither showed up or called. If this is a preferential service response I cringe to think what their everyday response performance might be.
Later that afternoon I called a reputable local competitor who arrived the next day. That professional confirmed that the Ryan tech had undoubtedly done more harm than good. We cancelled our ComfortPlus contract this morning, replacing it with their competitor's. It wasn't worth the paper it was printed on.
Daniel F.NEVER, EVER USE THIS COMPANY !!! I would give them a zero if I could !!!
These people literally wanted to charge me $78.00 for an O-RING. AN O-RING. The part literally costs about .30 cents and would take about 30 seconds to replace. How these people have the nerve to ask for $78.00 is unbelievable.
I called A/C electrician to Ryan heating & cooling co.
He is looks like beginner, the reason why he checked not only problem part
also the other part. I watched everything, but I was wonder everything.
Eventually he tell me estimate $700. At a result I called to some company fixed it everything I just give $75.
When I call to this company first of all, All the time teller tell $99+tax.
But michenic charged $135 or $150. I couldn't understand his policy.
I don' want to recommend this company.
Companies license is expired. They came to fix an HVAC problem I had and took a deposit of $1600 and never did the work, after all this I had another tech fix the problem for $75. Anas is a rip off artist and uses several different variations of spelling of his name to try to cover his tracks. FYI the problem always seems to be a condenser. I took them to court, judgement in our favor. the courts cannot locate him or his company
Ryan personnel are very responsive and go that extra step to ensure customer satisfaction. I have been very happy with the service they provided in installing and maintaining our new natural gas furnace, removal of the old oil tank form underground and fixing other ancillary interfaces( which are not necessarily their responsibility). The back office/customer service support provided by Christina and Palmyra are fantastic and helped tremendously in obtaining financing from banks and utility company not just for their product for other repairs my house needed.
Do not use this company.. Ryan Heating Cooling from Union, NJ installed our central air conditioner years ago and we had to get someone else to take a look at the horrible work they did. We were advised that the installation needed to be redone. They put huge plastic pipes that looked like the material of garbage bags. These pipes were put in my closets leaving no room for our clothing. The emergency water discharge valve was left outside the pan so if this overflows it will flood the ceiling. After a few arguments Ryan came back and installed smaller pipes, otherwise we would not pay them. Today my husband went to the Attic and found out that all the debris from the installation, including pieces of metal, wood, sheetrock, cardboard boxes, and nails were left in the attic. All this debris left behind destroyed our insulation. Very sloppy job!!!
