Unfortunately, I did not have an uneventful service call. It started with a 7:58 wake-up call, even though my appointment was at 12:00. No big deal, I got dressed and let them in. Replacement of the pipes under the sink went well ( only later to find out the pea trap should have been replaced and wasn't until someone else said it needed to be). The replacement cartridge in the shower handle was a nightmare! They are only to blame for part of it; I was told they were given the wrong replacement part. However, this 3 to 4-hour job lasted over 7 hours, still not a problem; it's ok that I don't have water all day.
The issue became when I went to take a shower, no cold water, only very hot, and good water pressure. Why wasn't the water temperature checked before they left is mind-boggling. I called them back, they adjusted the temperature and I sent them on their way. Now that the water temperature is finally the correct temperature, the water pressure is now less than it was before. I am told I am to blame for this and that I'm wrong that the water pressure is exactly where it was before; clearly, I and the other people in my house realized that the minute they took a shower, the water pressure wasn't right.
The blame is that my house has old plumbing; my house was built in 1974. The blame is that the pressure is fine, and I don't know what I'm talking about. When they cannot fix the pressure to where it was the day before, I am told they no longer want me as a customer and are parting ways with me. So that must be their answer to everything: get rid of the customer, and then they don't have to worry about their mistakes.
Nobody took responsibility for showing up early, nobody took responsibility for leaving the house without the temperature being the right temperature, and nobody took responsibility for the pressure still not being right. Why was the pressure correct the day before until they changed the temperature of the water? I've been dismissed by this company and told they are tired of coming to my house, yet it was their mistake that brought them back to my house. The text from the owner stated, ""I'm sorry, I'm done, and I don't have time for you."" I'm just sharing my experience; you decide if this is the company for you. They don't like negative reviews, so I'm sure there will be some kind of rude remarks and retaliation; however, this was my experience.
Jeff D.Great customer service. Joe was earlier than expected (he called ahead too). Diagnosed the problem and fixed everything! Gave us some great recommendations about a similar issue with our sink and won't break the bank! I would HIGHLY recommend them. Honest and professional! Thank You!!!
HUGE SHOUT OUT TO RUSSO'S PLUMBING!!! We left countless messages yesterday with other plumbers and and no one returned our calls yesterday except Russo's! They talked us through a few things and then set a time to come this morning. Upon arrival they quickly fixed the issue, then proceeded to walk through our new home with us and review how things are done in the Midwest (we are new from Los Angeles). They pointed out a few small things that we can do to save us money and then shook our hands and said ""no charge"". (Others called back this morning but by then Russo's were already on their way.)
Karen B.we ended up with a leaking shower - the hot water handle when turned off all the way would not shut off the water - so we had to turn hot water off to house so it would not drip - called Russo's based on reviews and they came out the next day and were able to fix it!!! Was so relieved that they tried the easiest solution first and saved us $$ They were totally professional and so very nice.... very willing to help - made sure we were in working order and turned on our hot water heater again yay! lol Will def use them again!
Jessica S.I am beyond grateful for Russo's Plumbing and their level of care and professionalism. Yesterday, my hot water tank overflowed (it was a very old tank) and I was very anxious about being able to get someone out to replace it quickly since I didn't want to live days without any water. We called Joe directly because my uncle is an electrician and has many connections, and even though Joe was on vacation, he was able to contact one of his plumbers, Dan, to come out today and replace the water heater.
Dan had great communication about when he was going to be at our house, and he came within the time window he gave us yesterday. When he arrived, he looked at my water tank and realized he would need to get a tall/slim one because I live in a condo and a standard one wouldn't fit. He had clear communication with what he needed to pick up for us, and was also clear on explaining the slim tanks are a bit more money so that our bill would be a bit higher as a result.
When he arrived, he carefully unhooked the old tank from all of the pipes after draining it, and he began working on hooking the new one up immediately with new pipes. He did a great job welding all of the pipes together, and he also did everything with great care and precision. He also updated a valve that connected our humidifier to the water tank, because he informed us that it was not up to code and repairmen don't always do what is. It was obvious that he was extremely knowledgeable about his job and was open to answering any/all questions asked.
When Dan was done, he turned on my water again and turned on the faucets to make sure the water was all running okay. He also walked me through how to turn off the water and gas from the tank if needed. He explained the warranty, too.
Overall, Dan was amazing and even though I can DEFINITELY wait to use Rocco's Plumbing again, I would choose them again in a heartbeat and will be recommending them to my friends and family. THANK YOU SO MUCH! :)
Russo Plumbing just out to rectify downstairs toilet issue.. possibly clog. it was gurgling and overflowed a bit, enuff to be mopped. water in bowl very low. they came out,,, rodded from inside cleanout in the next room. all flowing good for now...advised me if it happened again,,, call them. I sure will.. John was out last year to fix a leak in a faucet line, (?) was quick....
I like to ask questions,,, all my questions answered and everything explained in 'real english'. lol yes,, i would call them again --- YES. John is very patient, which is appreciated, as i get crazy when something- especially plumbing in the house has an issue-- UGH. Thank you for coming to our rescue!!..
**PS.. he is also involved with renovations, so, i have him in mind for that too. i just seem to procrastinate,, ugh... but we will see.
FYI - people complain about the price of plumbing jobs. yes, some people charge more than others. cheap doesnt mean much if the quality isnt there.. and just remember - would you want to deal with toilet waste and other gummy goey nasty stuff??? then now you know why plumbing isnt cheap, not to mention the buried pipes etc.
Larry E.Kitchen drain issue with Christmas only a few days away. John was very responsive. He fit us in the following day. He and his helper came out when he said he would, was very polite and professional. They rodded out our long drain line and showed us how to help keep that line clear in the future. I am sure we will be contacting Russo's in the future..... and referring Russo's to our friends.
Thanks John!
and Merry Christmas!
Russo's has done 2 jobs at my house. They could have charged me 100s for each job and I wouldn't have known any better. Both jobs totaled under $100. They knew they had a sucker but chose the honest route. And now they have a customer life.
Always terrific, on time, and fair. Russo's Plumbing is the only company who we call when we have any kind of issue, inside or out. Just had to have one of the outside faucets completely removed and though it was surrounded by concrete from an installation years ago, the replacement was quick and now I can get back to my gardening without a worry! Super happy customer!!
I can't say enough good things about Russo's Plumbing! Totally impressed! Very friendly employees that did quality work. We were having new kitchen countertops installed and needed to have the sink unhooked and hooked back up on either side of the countertop work taking place, so I was a little worried about finding a reasonably-priced plumber to come do the job on the exact schedule I needed to ensure I wasn't left without a working sink/ability to run my dishwasher. But John the owner answered the phone every time I called, was so attentive, and very flexible with scheduling to make it work for us, which I greatly appreciated. On the first visit his employee, Sam, was so professional (e.g., arrived right on time, polite, took booties on and off his shoes every time he went through our front door) and worked efficiently to get the sink taken care of before the installers came with the new counters. John came for the second visit to hook everything back up, and when an issue arose with the new fittings, he took the time to thoroughly explain what happened -- then went above and beyond to get the right part to resolve it, and return on a holiday weekend to make sure we were taken care of. Pleasure to work with them and would absolutely hire again!
