Russell is a great guy! He has always done an excellent job for the plumbing work we needed done and his prices are fair. Best of all, I really appreciate that Russell will always take the time to answer your questions and explain what he is doing. As a new homeowner without much experience in the work that goes into maintaining a home, I can't express how much I appreciate it that he takes the time to help me learn about some of the basic plumbing tasks I can potentially do on my own, or how to best maintain various appliances and equipment. Sudden problem with our ground water pump and water in the basement on Saturday (of course) left me panicked!! Called Russell at Russell's Plumbing and he was here in 1 Hour!!! Wonderful service, problem fixed as well as education about our pump!! Would use him again absolutely!!!!

We got the information on Yelp about Russell's Plumbing, and I want to pass on the favor. He called us the very afternoon I messaged him, and came here to a rural location the next morning. Our leaking water heater was the issue, and while he could have told us we need a new one for $800 or so, he was able to fix and weld the piping for a Fraction of the price. I will recommend him to one and all.

I was in the middle of a relocation for my work, and was on an extremely tight timeframe. After my inspection from the company assuming my property, I had two weeks before I moved out of state. Knowing this, he came same day. Very professional, friendly, personable, reasonably priced, and honest. He even offers discounts on his website, and told me about them when I called so I could print off a coupon.

Our basement flooded with about six inches of water. We spent about 2 hours with a shop vac, and we thought we would get the rest of the job done quickly ourselves. We soon noticed that our sewage drain was backing up, and it became a bigger job because as we got rid of water, more water rose from the drain including feces.

Defeated, I called Russell's. I believe I spoke with Russell himself, who was very nice despite having received lots of calls that day. I was shocked that he said he could have a guy out to our place in Plainfield within an HOUR! It was more like 2 hours, but we were in contact with Matt, the tech, several times as he kept us updated on his location and current job. I had called another company first, but after no return call, I moved on to Russell's.

Matt arrived with Tim, an assistant, and immediately tried to find our problem. It was evident that Matt was exhausted and frustrated, especially when he was unable to locate where he could rod the sewage from. Matt and Tim walked into a field next to our home and discovered the sewer was FULL. We were told that they couldn't do anything, because only the village could fix it. I was really disappointed, but I didn't feel that they were being dishonest.

Unfortunately, Matt got into a scuffle with our neighbors, who also happens to be the very nosy association manager. Matt tried to explain the situation to our neighbors, who didn't have sewage in their basements, but our association manager kept yelling at him (he's nosy, an alcoholic, and losing his sensibilities). I felt terrible for Matt having to deal with this, but he was very receptive to myself and another neighbor - giving us a tip to use a plug for the drains, and it would at least eliminate the solid waste coming up. I probably would have left the scene, because nobody deserves to be verbally assaulted like that. Matt could have left, but he didn't. If he did, I probably would've punched my association manager in the face.

Our water is still leaking, but the plug helped somewhat. Even though I wasn't thrilled having to pay a $130+ service charge, I was grateful that these guys found where the problem was coming from and spent the time to explain to us the problem and temporary solution. Matt encouraged us to take photos and get reimbursed by the Village of Plainfield.
