Just want to add to the excellent reviews. My husband and I used Rural for years before we moved from Raleigh and were always beyond satisfied. It's evident to me that the person that owns and runs this company strives to provide great service at a reasonable price and is honest to a near fault.

Been a customer for over 10 years. Recently I had to wait over 3 weeks for Rural to come out and perform the semi-annual check of my HVAC system. They were due to come out today but cancelled at the last minute due to other service calls. The earliest my next appointment was 3 weeks out. Mid November. They cancelled me so they could service paying customers. I already paid last month by renewing my maintenance contract, which I am canceling and will find a different outfit to service my heat and air systems. Terrible way to treat a long time customer. Don't sign up for any maintenance contracts. Hard to get them out once they are paid.

I have been a customer for many years. Rural has performed many services from furnace and A/C replacement, water heater replacement, disposal replacement and waste pipe replacement to minor services such as fixing a leaky faucet. I have always considered Rural to be competent, available and fair-priced. My wife called a competitor once to install a new faucet. R-R not only did not do the install but gave me a proposal to replace the entire plumbing system. Rural performed the install with no problem. I have a service contract as well and inspections have been timely and thorough.

We have had an annual service agreement with Rural which was up for renewal today, April 11th. Rural called yesterday and wished to postpone our service because so many other customers had equipment breakdowns. We declined because that is exactly what we are trying to avoid. Their representative called today, April 11th, and insisted that we re-schedule. Once again we declined because that is why we have regular service visits. The call quickly became a shouting match in which their representative said we were the type of customer Rural did not want to service. At that point the call was terminated very rudely.
