This business was established in 1985 by Jim Coyle and Tom Ruperto following their shared apprenticeship. Initially, operations took place from their homes, but by 1994, they needed to move to a central facility in South Plainfield due to the demand for more warehouse space and the number of service vehicles. Even though Jim and Tom usually don't conduct service calls, they still visit many customers' homes to drop off parts for technicians or to review completed bathroom renovations. RupCoe began with plumbing and hot water or steam boilers but expanded into HVAC in the 90s. We selected the South Plainfield location for its convenient access to Rt. 287, which connects Middlesex and Somerset counties. We are committed to doing the job right on the first attempt, and if we do not succeed, we will return swiftly to correct the repairs at no additional cost. Our services include complete bathroom and kitchen remodeling, and we also provide painting services!

From 1977 to 1981, Jim Coyle underwent his plumbing apprenticeship. Following that, he joined FMC Corporation in Carteret, NJ, where he learned industrial pipefitting and insulation. In September 1986, he left FMC to dedicate himself full-time to RupCoe Plumbing & Heating alongside Tom Ruperto. Jim met Lisamarie Hohmann in 1990, and they tied the knot in 1991. Together, they have one son and three daughters. Jim is an active member of Sayrewoods Bible Church and enjoys saltwater fishing, clamming, full-court basketball, and karaoke. He takes pleasure in yard work and various household tasks. Jim is involved in charity work for those in need through his church. Jim enjoys taking friends and coworkers on fishing trips aboard his Parker 21' Sport Cabin, aptly named ""Fishers of Men.""

Just had a call from Tom at Rupcoe. Tom came and did an initial inspection and found that I did not have a major main line issue but a house trap issue which was much cheaper. He could have sold me on the main line but was very honest. Did not try to Up sell me anything. Did a great job! Thank you Tom. Recommend him to anyone.

Just find another plumber, predatory ""house call"" fees. I had the pipe between my bathtub waste tee and the trap rust through on me and it needed to be replaced. This pipe was about 10 inches in length, was in an easy to get to spot with plenty of space to work. Rupcoe came, looked at it for about 5 minutes and charged me $60 to tell me I needed to replace everything from the bathtub down, and wanted to charge me $1300 + Tax to do it. I knew this didn't sound right, so I declined the work.

I went to GPS in Edison and explained what my situation was, showing him the trap I took off and he explained exactly what I needed and exactly how to do it. I fixed the problem with a $10 part, a single peice of tube. Rupcoe wanted to charge me about $1400 to do work that a simple $10 part was able to replace. I was considering rupcoe to replace our central air system when we had the cash to do it(already have the estimate), but this experience is inexcusable. I'll be using someone else from now on.

DEREK the worst service tech they sent so far......came in with no shoe cover, NO gloves..didnt even introduced himself... Looking lazy... Just did visual checks...at first no checklist he just brought his clipboard to bill me after I Then I told him to go ahead and perform the services i paid as my annual plumbing...and he seems not happy that I asked him where his checklist was... I felt my money is not worth it ... Please DON'T SEND DEREK ON ANY OF MY SERVICES PLEASE!!!!

Our water heater mixture was broken, I call RupCoe because they had some good review in other sites. Unfortunately for us the mixture cartridge was discontinued. The plumber said that he called the manufacturer and they said it is not available, so nothing can be done about the shower. I then called the manufacturer to get the diagram, asked him if he can do anything with it. He said nothing can be done expect to replace the whole Standup shower stall as a unit, which was $3,000. I asked him 10 times if there any intermediate solutions and he said no.. I found another company who replaced it because they could find a generic brand and replace it!

their check up fees is WASTE OF MONEY!!!

The driver is very aggressive at driving and dangerous. Getting you business around town is a big part of your business and should be done safely. Your driver ran my wife, kids and dogs off the road. My son has brittle bones and it could have gone a lot worse.

Very poor servicing of one year service contract. Very difficult to get an appointment for them to service this contract. They will make an appointment and fail to fulfill. Not a customer friendly office staff for sure. Can be somewhat arrogant and insulting. Have been a customer since 2012 and find ourselves very, very disappointed with current situation to say the least.
