Great plumbing service in North Jersey. I have an older home so I've needed to use Ruffcut several times for a broken drain pipe in the kitchen, a toilet repair, and a kitchen faucet installation, and probably something else that I'm forgetting about.

They try to accommodate their customers quickly and all of the plumbers have been punctual for the appointment window. All of their technicians know what they're doing and they focus on customer service. I've been happy with the repairs / installations every time.

Definitely recommend Rufffcut and they'll get my call again the next time I need them.

No one is ever going to look forward to the arrival of plumbers. Repair rates are just about the highest of any home project. I've found that most plumbers I've tried in the Ridgewood area -- about seven over a dozen years -- are nice, but expensive. No repair, however simple, ever seemed to cost me less than $175, and in recent years that number is rising. I paid $588 for a toilet installation last spring. It was a difficult installation but took less than three hours. I am not using that plumber again. I recently called Ruffcut for the first time. They did not charge me an outrageous rate for a kitchen sink faucet repair. Patrick came on time, was polite, worked swiftly and did a great job. A second problem appeared to be fixed but a few days later, the problem returned. It appears it was not the plumber's fault; the water purifier tank I have was defective and it was not apparent earlier. Nevertheless, RuffCut offered to return to reexamine the tank, and, at no additional cost, attempt to fix the problem. That is what I call a class act. Anthony and an assistant came over, earlier than scheduled, which I appreciated (Ruffcut called me to ask if that was OK, which was a simple but great courtesy) and they did a great job. Ruffcut seems to be staffed by cool people. They are courteous, prompt, and they get the job done. And the offer to return to fix a problem not of their making and at no cost was a rare but very welcome courtesy. I will be calling them again for future repairs and installations.

Over priced and arrogant. Ruffcut did about $45,000 of work on my house during renovation. On a smaller job afterwords I questioned Harold about an estimate and he got nasty, contemptuous in my view. Like, how dare you question my rates! Afterwords I had another small repair and according to the price of parts I looked up at Home Depot he was price gouging me on parts, and over billed on time. I pointed this out to Harold. No apology. He showed no courtesy to this old customers.

I've used Ruffcut several times over the I past 7 years. They've always been very professional and their work products have been very good. I recently called them to replace an outdoor hose spigot. The gentleman who came suggested a $4.00 solution rather than spending over$15 to replace the spigot. and to top it off, there was no charge for his visit!! Now that's putting the customer first. Great company.

Our boiler leaked & busted. And when we called Ruff cut in a panic mode. They were here, within minutes. Day 2, they got us a new boiler, right in the winter, once we approved the cost & type.
