These guys ROCK!! Great customer service, same day repair, and reasonable price. We needed a new main shut off valve, YIKES!!
Tim was our tech; he was friendly, knowledgeable and clean while he worked. I also like that he suggested an upgraded shut off valve to be placed in the house not back into the ground. This will make it easier to operate if need be. The job was done quickly and professionally.
I actually found these guys here on YELP because we are new to town, glad I did. Because our new house is from the 60's we will need a lot more done in the future.... I will definitely call Rudy's again!!

These guys are great. I needed repair on a gas fireplace and I was coming up just for the weekend. Service guy, nice, polite and quick did that and then also fixed a nagging leaky faucet in one of the bathrooms. Highly recommend!

As usual you guys rock! This summer, you came 10 minutes after i called for a massive emergency at the restaurant (Murphy's Irish Pub) and you fixed the problem right away. This morning, the furnace circuit board broke and my house was freezing, we called you and I can't believe you already fixed it. Now it's warm and cozy again, I can't thank you enough!

We needed to replace the wood burning fireplace in the cottage we bought in Tahoe. Ugly thing and I felt like John Henry feeding the engine. We did research online regarding a gas fireplace and interviewed three retailers in Tahoe.

We were impresses with co-owner Linda, who took the time to listen to what our needs were and let us know she would research some options and get back to us. She did. We bought a kozyheat delano, and it heats our entire cottage. Keith, the man himself, came and installed. He was knowledgeable and worked with our contractor, Mike, to make it painless for us.

After it was installed, and here is the money shot, Keith followed up with us. We weren't crazy about the sticks and rocks media, and he proceded to order three other media kits and let us choose what we wanted! What?!? It gets better, when we asked Linda to order a back up remote, she noted that there was a new battery back up unit that the manufacturer now offered. If you think I'm going to tell you that she ordered it for us on our approval so it arrived with our back up remote, you would be absolutely correct.

I rarely write lengthy tributes to plumbers, but in this case, it is my pleasure.

Great service, trustworthy, honest, fair price. If you need a plumber, call this place. It's family owned and they do an excellent job with a great rate. We were up for the weekend and the shower did not work. We did not want to waste a day waiting for a plumber. I called a few different businesses out of the phone book and ended up using Rudy's. They had someone to our house within the hour and the repair was made by Tim fairly quickly. He was professional and had the shower going so we could enjoy our weekend away.

Had the New Owner from Rudy's come to my house in South Lake Tahoe and give me a bid on a new wood stove. He said he would get it in the mail to me soon. Never heard back from him. The verbal estimate he gave me was $2000 more than the 4 other estimates I received. Very unprofessional and I guess they don't need the business even though I was just up the street.

I have been a customer of Rudy's for quite some time. I recently had service done on my gas fireplace and furnace. Eric did an excellent job servicing and repairing both units. Eric was extremely knowledgeable and very honest. I highly recommend Eric form Rudy's.

We called Rudys on the suggestion of a friend who had good service with them. This was our first winter in a new house and the heater had died. Eric came out and suggested we start with the cheapest fix first, which we really appreciated. We ended up having to replace a few parts but Eric was so knowledgeable about our old wall unit and the most likely parts to break first. He was friendly and helpful and I would recommend Rudys and Eric to anyone.

My husband and I are longtime locals of South Lake Tahoe and we are in the process of remodeling our home. My husband stopped into Rudy's a few weeks ago to look at their gas fireplace selection. I was pleased when he came home with some brochures and some notes written on them that indicated a good price. I went into the store a week later to see the units and to try to solidify the deal. I spoke to Linda (the owner) who pulled out the Kozy Heat catalog and quoted me the same price she had quoted my husband. I scheduled an appointment with her husband, Keith (owner), who came to my house two days later to make sure the unit would fit where we wanted it. While he was at my house, he called his wife to confirm the price of the unit, which, at this point, we were ready to buy. When he hung up, he said he needed to get back to me and that the price that had been quoted to us appeared to be incorrect. After several days and a few phone calls to them, I FINALLY received a call from Linda who informed me that the price she had originally quoted was the cost price and she just couldn't let the unit go for that. In fact, she wanted to tack on an additional $600 on top of the price she had originally quoted us! There was no willingness to negotiate or even any sense of regret for the mistake they had made. I understand accidents happen and everyone is human, but I also feel that there should have been SOME effort to rectify the situation. I work in customer service and when I make a mistake, I do my best to make it up to my customer. This debacle has put me behind schedule on my remodel and I am still without a fireplace unit. I would not recommend buying any products at Rudy's after the experience I had, and I certainly won't be using them for any future plumbing or heating needs I may have..
