I'm updating my review based on owner's comments below. I hired Rudd plumbing to replace two toilet interior kits and to check on a possible leak. They sent out a junior technician, who cut a hole in my garage ceiling plaster and declared it dry. He told me he replaced kits and fixed toilets. I thought all was fine, hence my positive first review. My request for the technician was to check on the leak and fix the toilets. A couple months later the toilets they supposedly fixed started running. I called Rudd, I asked about the toilets not working and what it would cost, i asked if there was a warranty on the repair to the toilets, as it was only a few months since repair. They said they would send out someone to fix the toilets at no charge. They let me know there was a problem with the first technician. He was fired, and they were not surprised there was a problem and happy to fix it. Two weeks later an appointment with another technician, he was told the toilets were running and the replacement kits were faulty. He takes a look and says he needs to order new flaps. Previous tech replaced kits but left the old flaps. (I looked, it was in disgusting shape) He said he would order new and have in a couple days. The owner now claims the toilet repair did not include flaps. I asked him to repair the toilets. Why would someone install a kit with faulty flaps and not mention it? Im not a plumber, i didn't inspect the toilets- they worked, and were not working before. The technician did not have a flap in his truck and said he needed to order ( $12.00 part) - i had family coming in town and needed toilets working. A week later, no call. I email and I'm told they will get back to me in a couple days. No response. 4 days later. I email again saying i could order the flaps myself and have them by now. I did not know there were plumbing emergencies in my area, as they did not respond. I ended up ordering the flaps on Amazon and replacing the flaps myself. I did not want to be doing this myself! If I wanted the toilets fixed in time, i had no other choice as Rudd ghosted me. There is no excuse for the lack of communication. I had the same plumber for years in my old house, and he looked after me, always communicated, told me what to watch for if a problem arose. Fixed issues promptly at a fair price. I do not recommend. I appreciate the initial timely response from the first technician, but he did a sub-par job with a temporary fix. And I did pay for him to fix toilets. I would have given a high second review, if they fixed it on second visit, since they were honest about the problem with first tech. But they dropped the ball. I get it. The repair was free, so i was put on back burner. Since they installed only partial kits and stopped communicating, they lost my trust and my future business.

We have used Rudd for both plumbing and HVAC after meeting the owner in a gas station parking lot of all places. He was very cordial and gave us his business card. Little did I know that a few weeks later (July 4th) that our air conditioning would not be working properly. I texted him, and we had air by 2 pm. We also used Rudd for reinstalling some plumbing when we had new countertops. Have their twice yearly air maintenance service as well. So far, so good with Rudd.

They came out and installed our faucet, drain, and garbage disposal under the sink after we had new countertops installed. We provided all of the parts. It took about an hour and 20 minutes and the bill was over $1,400. That is insane, even for Mt. Pleasant. The young man that came out was professional and polite and did a good job. Even so, at $1,000 an hour labor cost we will never use Rudd Plumbing again.

We're new to the area and found ourselves without any hot water recently - no less on a Friday night! We quickly emailed and texted some of the new friends we've met, and a few came back and recommended Rudd Plumbing, Heating and AC. To our very pleasant surprise, we were told they could get to us Saturday morning, and sure enough, Jayce was at our door before 9:00am. He fixed the problem in less than an hour, was extremely pleasant and friendly to deal with, and the price was very competitive, esp considering the troubleshooting he had to do with the manufacturer of our tankless water heater as well as having to get onto our roof to help him diagnose the issue. All in all a very pleasant experience and we won't hesitate to use Rudd again. Highly recommend, based on this first experience with them.

I am so glad I chose Rudd, they have been a great group of folks and they are very competitive compared to other companies. I had them price a 2 1/2 ton unit in July and I just had the second unit, 3 ton, installed by my favorite installation team lead by Adrian. He is a great professional and I really appreciate his attention to detail. He listens to my questions and it extremely polite and friendly. It's a shame that I only have the two units, I would enjoy his company for another install. Of all the reasons to choose Rudd; pricing, options, availability, personnel, they cover all of them. Thanks for the help and I look forward to seeing you every 6 months for my maintenance service.

Michael, who provided service on my HVAC systems, was very knowledgeable and efficient and was patient with my questions. Was impressed with his professionalism and the service he provided, so I will continue to do business with Rudd. A five star rating for Rudd Plumbing is well deserved, I would rate them higher if I could! If you need a plumber call these guys and you won't be disappointed. I suggest you ask for Danny Gergory as he's outstanding but I am sure all their plumbers are great. I called them with a toilet problem, (water around the floor.). I said I was in no rush but they came in the afternoon, and within five minutes of being here it was fixed! The cost was much lower than I expected and they guarantee their work, Value For the Money!
