Been with Rucci for a long time It pays to have a service contract.
They are very reliable company to deal with and repair a down system very quick. The service guys are very good, and the office is great.
This place is a JOKE. I have to call everyday in order for them to deliver the oil. I've been calling the past three days and all they say is ""call us back tomorrow"". I spoke with the operator yesterday and she said she wrote in the system to call me back because it is an emergency which it was because I have no oil. Never received a call back so I called and an elderly man picked up extremely rude. I've been with them since 2010 but I will no longer support this circus. Not to mention the day they decided to train one of their new workers at my house knowing I have dogs. My guess is that the new guy is scared of them because when he heard one of them bark he got scared and he released the hose causing all the oil to spill everywhere. The oil splashed on the side of my house and my neighbors house who is now suing me for damaging his property.
Mike F.Don't bother waisting your time talking to Lauren.. she just talks over you and doesn't listen. Had oil delivery heating maintenance and ac maintenance. Never came for the yearly maintenance in heating. Called asked for someone to tell me what is exactly entailed in the ac maintenance, never got a call back. Then my ac went out, called for service, guy said need coolant but asked if he could come back tomorrow. Told him sure no problem and never showed up the next day... long story short there are more reliable services out there that won't give you an attitude when they mess up.
I had this oil company and they were not applying the payments to my account. Lauren and Jim have no business ethics and don't care. I think the company is going under and will not be in business much longer. I had to escalate my problem to a third party to have my payments applied. I strongly do not recommend them.
This review is based on my conversation and experience with Lauren from the service department. Being 9 months pregnant, I tried to explain the entire situation to Lauren who answered the call after I was talking to Melissa and never introduced herself. Lauren was very nasty and rude refusing to hear out the entire situation, cutting me off several times and hanging up on me. This is the worse customer service ever and NO customer should be treated in the manner especially one who is potentially paying to have an entire HVAC system installed paying over $10,000. Lauren should not be working in the service department and clearly should be reprimanded. I will gladly take my business else where if customers are treated in this manner.
I don't have a problem with the company itself or the service. The problem is with one of the nasty workers who is extremely rude each and every time you call there. I literally hate when this person answers the phone because you know you are going to be met with some snotty rude snide comment as if he's doing you a favor or something! As far as the service goes I've never had a problem and they have always done good work. Also for the most part everyone that I've dealt with was extremely nice EXCEPT for this one man who sounds elderly and probably needs to retire already because he is a snotty grump who probably needs an enema or something to make him feel better and perhaps lighten up his mood!!...Because honestly his constant behavior and attitude has me seriously contemplating going else where with my business for better customer service.....I think the company needs to knock the chip off this individuals shoulder and pry the stick out his ass! But other then that the company is fine with no problems.
Pedro M.The most inhumane oil company I have ever dealt with. I submitted a request through an oil website called CODFuel.com. They're basically a broker for heating oil delivery companies. It was on New Year's Eve (sunday) and stated the oil wouldn't come until Wednesday which was fine. Right before a snowstorm on Thursday. Works out perfectly. I called them on Tuesday to confirm the delivery and they said ""why didn't you say it was an emergency? We would've came today!"" So I said well it is an emergency can you come? And he said ""No, you're not a customer of ours since you ordered through COD Fuel"". I couldn't believe my ears! I pay COD & they pay you = CUSTOMER! Then they have the audacity to tell me ""if you don't like it call COD and complain and cancel your order"". After that I got off the phone when them because they were really getting on my last nerve. An hour later I receive a cancellation email stating I cancelled!!!! This is on the day of a blizzard these guys decided to cancel my order and force me to go somewhere else. My wife, my 3 month old newborn and I were forced to pay to stay in a hotel until the oil delivery comes. I advised them I have a newborn as well and they blatantly said ""well sir you're not a customer"". Evil people. Then they lie to the 3rd party Company saying I tried to undercut COD when it was his suggestion to do that!
When I first purchased my home in Brooklyn, I converted from oil to gas. Rucci did the conversion and unbeknownst to me, the job was approved but was self-inspected by Rucci and was never given the final sign off or inspection by the City of NY. I learned about this when it came up as an open permit in a title search when I was in the midst of selling my home. My buyer was anxious to purchase my home and I was anxious to sell so I offered her $2500.00 to close on the home while Rucci was trying to obtain a permit as the original one had expired five years earlier. The stipulation was that the buyer would assume all expenses related to the new permit and any other expenses involved in the sign-off by the City. This was noted in the final settlement papers at the closing. Two months post-closing, Rucci is on the phone haranguing me for $900.00 for the permit. I sent a copy of the settlement paper to them with an explanation as to the agreement with the buyer, and the buyer's name and address. They contacted me again and told me that the buyer denied knowing about the agreement. Since my attorney was not very proactive and did little to protect me, I had no recourse but to pay Rucci the $900.00. Rucci did not care who the money came from as long as they got the money. I am a senior who could ill afford to pay them this money in addition to the fact that it was not my responsibility to pay them. Today, five months post-closing I noticed a call from them on my phone. Guess they must need something from me. The company is unethical and if I knew then what I know now I would never have used them. By the way, they charged me more than $12,000.00 for the conversion.
Yelp U.I have to start my review with a complaint. I now live in New Jersey so when I received a coupon for a boiler checkup from another company I scheduled the appointment. When they arrived they did a carbon monoxide check. The technician said that my unit was over 800 milliliters of carbon monoxide and he had to shut me down. I have a federal boiler from the 1970s and that the unit would have to be replaced because it was so old. A new unit would be about $9,000. After they left I called Rucci hoping that they would come out to NJ and take a look at my boiler. When I called and asked if they serve Woodbridge New Jersey I was told that they did. I explained what happened with the other company and they said they would come out and test it themselves. The technician came, ran a CO test and said that the unit is running at 297 milliliters of carbon monoxide he then opened up the unit and tinkered around a little bit, close it up and tested again. He got it under 200. He told me my unit was fine. He said they didn't make them like this any more. If it's not broken don't replace it"" He also told me a new unit would be about $3500 and not $9000.
I was relived and grateful to still find honesty in today's business make money world. I would highly recommend Rucci for any heating air-conditioning and plumber work you may have. From now on they will be the only company I will call.
Michael J.I purchased a home in the recent months and do not have much experience with oil heat. Depleting most of my reserve in less that a month I contacted Rucci oil and asked for a delivery before a big snowstorm as I would have run out before the storm ended. The owner would not help me out as I was not a current customer. As I was explaining that I have an elderly tenant and would even pay him through credit card over the phone, he HUNG UP on me mid sentence. Also found out from others that his oil prices are amongst the highest. Avoid them at all costs.
