Recommended Customer Reviews

RT Olson Plumbing did an excellent job solving our leak problem. Shane came over to my house and was extremely patient and helpful. He even gave us a few pointers on how to avoid that kind of leak in the future. I strongly recommend this company and Shane in particular.
Update: Nacho (their drywall specialist) did a wonderful job repairing the hole in our ceiling. RT Olson Plumbing is great with drywall, too!

I used to be a customer of Dave who has done lots of plumbing work for our house in the past few years.
And this week, our kitchen sink got clogged, and we tried to reach out to Dave, however, instead, it's sent to RT Olson Plumbing which we didn't use.
So, the appointment was easy to set up, and the plumber arrived on the same day.
After checking the clogged sink, the technician said 159 which is acceptable. Next, here is the story started.
Then, the technician started to up sale and recommended that I should flush the water for my heater and also tune up service for my two AC units, and none of them were under the reason I called them for.
And I totally understand that it's my option to take those extra services or not. So, finally, I agreed to do the heater water flush and two AC units tuneup plus fixing clogged kitchen sink for 450.
Then, the technician called his dispatch to arrange someone else to do the AC tune up service which I thought it will be the same person. This is fine to me as well even though this is not what I expected.
After the call, the technician stated to work on the heater to flush the water. In order to do so, he had to turn both valves off for the cold water and the hot water.
The cold water valve was easy to turn off. However, the hot one is a tough one, and the technician tried 5 to 10 minutes and every single way to turn the valve off for the hot water line, but it didn't work.
After pushing and pushing, then, the handle of the valve broke!
So, I got on a phone call with Bob, the owner, to discuss how to solve the issue. Bob said your unit is too old, and this issue kept happing all the time, and I need to pay the money to fix it. What? This is crazy. Why should I pay for something that got damaged while someone is providing me a service that I have paid for? If it is an old unit and the valve is hard to turn off, just tell your customer in the front instead of breaking it!
I really don't know what to do at that moment.
Then, I called my lawyer friend asking his opinion. He told me that this is nuts and they should be responsible for all of this because it is their carelessness and fault.
So, I called Bob again and explained to him what my lawyer said. Then, Bob offered free labor to fix it but I had to cover the cost for the part, which is 129. And then, I thought this was acceptable because I am not an unreasonable person.
But they cannot fix it on the same day due to missing parts, and they would come the next day today to fix it.
After this whole 2 hour drama instead a 15 minutes kitchen sink clogged issue, while I was having my lunch, I was chatting with one of my coworkers husband who has been a plumber for 20 years living in Los Angeles.
He told me that I should send them away just because they were up selling things to me, and he old me that it is not necessary to flush the water heater at all. And these people are just here to take more money from me. And he also warned me that nobody knows what could happen next when to cut off the pipe to replace the valve and more damage could happen, and then more money I have to pay, then, I am going to be stuck with them.
So, I called them to cancel the appointment next day, and paid the 159 for the sink issue.
And I was writing this review to just share the experience I have with this company.
While I was writing this review, Bob called me after knowing that I cancelled the appointment.
Bob was helpful this time. And he told me that he would fix it either way, but still, I would have to cover the cost for the part.
And then, I told him that's no problem, but I also do have my right to share my experience and feeling to the rest of the families and customers and let them know what i went through, and then, they can make their own decision if they want to choose RT Olson.
After I mentioned I was doing Yelp review, Rob said his team is willing to fix this at no cost from my side, which is very nice of him.
After all, and chatting with my friends, I don't think it will be worth it to fix the valve with a broken handle since it is not leaking and I can still use the water as normal.
So, this is the experience I am having. If you have read to the end, thanks for reading through this, and hopefully this will help you and give some guidance while you are choosing the service provider.
Thanks all.

When I first discovered a slab leak in my home I freaked out. After some research I came across RT Olson and called them. Shane Becica was our tech and was great from the moment he arrived, very professional and courteous. He identified the problem(s) and let me know all of my options and was very honest. Follow up is extremely important to me and he definitely came through.

This company is great to work with from customer service to field work.
We had a pipe break outside our home and a neighbor recommended calling RT Olson. We read through their excellent reviews and called. Roxanne was so helpful and was able to get someone to our place that morning. Shane worked through the mess in record time to assess the damage and gave us a very fair price to complete the repair. Unbelievably, the company was able to send Rudy out later that afternoon with the parts to complete the repair. He fixed everything, but had to leave the repair exposed to dry overnight. He was back first thing the next morning to complete the job. The jobsite work was cleaned to perfection, the techs were knowledgeable and communicated through each step, the cost was fair and every item was explained before the work was started. This was an epic example of company teamwork. We have already shared our experience with RT Olson Plumbing with several neighbors and we know who we will call if we need a plumber in the future. Great job!

Adam came by today to repair a leaking relief valve on our water heater. Great service, friendly and very efficient; only charged for what we needed. RT Olson has always done great work; highly recommend them for any plumbing needs you may have.

I had to have remediation work done on a garage wall and needed to have the water heater temporarily moved. I called several companies and then came across Bob Olson company. Best of luck! Starting with Roxanna in the office who was a gem- professional and assured me that the request was something their company could handle.
Next the owner Bob personally called me to discuss the situation and later provided a written estimate.
Finally Shane the technician came on the scheduled day and handled the project promptly and professionally.
I appreciate the excellent customer service received, and they had the best cost out of all I researched.

Called for an appointment (slab Leak). He came by himself told me that he is a manager from RT Olson. Was introduced that its a family owned company and number 1 in the area for plumbing etc... Showed him visually where the leaks coming from. He ask the question, when this house was built? Told him 1997. Bought it 2016. After knowing the location and year it was built. I was told that my house needs ""whole house repipe"" and was shocked of how much will it cost me... The house was only 27yrs old and no evident of leaking inside and on the second floor. He did not even inspected my bathrooms and kitchen with any device to detect for leaks. Pls let me know if this the correct procedure, so I can reverse my rating.

We had fast response and great service from Gabe today when we had a blockage in the kitchen sink. Friendly, responsive and informative about our problem - as well as clearing the blockage!

My hot water line leaked between the water heater and the kitchen. I originally called All Pro Plumbing. But, they failed to show up at the appointed time to re-pipe my entire house two days in a row! I cancelled them and found RT Olson on line.
David showed up approximately thirty minutes after I called. He reviewed what had to be done and recommended a whole house re-piping as this was the second leak in two years. The pricing was much better than All Pro.
Because it was three days before New Years, Bob Olson had all hands on deck to complete the job before the holiday! A five man piping crew showed up at 8:00AM Friday. They worked very quickly and efficiently and finished re-piping in about eight and a hours.
They had covered all the floors and walls bc before starting. Upon completion, they swept and washed all the hard floors. They also vacuumed all the carpeting, GREAT JOB!
The next day a three man dry wall crew showed up at 6:30AM. They also coveted all the flooring and hung plastic sheeting from ceiling to floor to protect areas they weren't working in. They worked through out the day and dry walled, patched and textured all the access holes cut in the walls and ceilings to do the piping. They finished in about seven hours.
Upon completing the patch work, the textured finish matched the original walls well! My only concern was that the patch work under the sinks could have been done better. They also cleaned all the flooring and carpeting.
All in all, I highly recommend RT Olson Plumbing. Ask for David. He is a very caring, knowledgeable young man and a pleasure to work with!

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY! They should get zero star. Hiring this company was the WORST MISTAKE we have ever made. RT Olson Plumbing and Dry County Restoration are the worst companies we have ever worked with. To me they have no integrity.
My mother-in-law's house had a water pipe bursted underneath the concrete slab on August 4. We hired this company because they said they would bill the insurance company directly and we would not have to pay anything out of pocket. That was NOT TRUE because after we signed a contract with them, they told us it will cost us $2000 extra out of pocket. Bob Olson told us he would match the lowest bid of other companies but he ultimately did not honor his words. It was too late for us to back out because we already signed his contract.
They did not submit the claim to the insurance company until October 2, almost two months after the pipe bursted. They got paid but we have not received any payments from the insurance company. DO NOT USE this horrible company. They will say anything to get us to sign a contract with them. Once the contract was signed, everything went downhill for us after that. And they won't honor their words. I am going to file a complaint with the Contractors State Licensing Board about these 2 companies.
Buyers Beware. Don't ever use Dry County Restoration and RT Olson Plumbing. We ended up spending so much money out of pocket! I'm a real reviewer and I want to warn other customers of this company. I wish someone had warned us before we signed a contract with them.
