My Lennox main floor unit started blowing warm air Sat eve after all my units were serviced for AC less than 2 months ago by RS Andrews. Placed call Sunday AM and Tech came out Monday Afternoon. Tech quickly determined that capacitor was dead and quoted me $420 to replace it, not including the $79 service charge. I looked up replacement Lennox part for $53 online. Tech could do nothing other than give me 10% off since I had existing service membership with them bringing total down to $459. Called office and manager on duty would do nothing to help. Since it has been two days without unit work in 90+ degree July weather, I ate the cost to keep my family safe and healthy. I have been a customer since 1999 and RS Andrews has serviced all my units and installed this unit.I am totally fine with paying reasonable costs for service, but It is nothing short of thievery to charge me $460 for a part that took 15 minutes to install. I would not recommend RS Andrews and it just proves further that this industry is all about gouging people for 3-4 times the reasonable price.
Called about a error code, on a 4yr old unit. Paid $100 for a tech to show up. """"Tthese units are junk, they stole patents, it'll cost hundreds to fix. You should replace it.."""" (with a $600 walmart brand). """"It'll cost $4000. You already have the piping, so you'll save $500 and I can have the parts tomorrow"""" I cleaned the damn thing myself. F-- these clowns
scam of company. keep sending techs who blame various thermostat companies and they just mess around for a while then charge a service fee for no results. Go with someone competent, not these clowns.
Lynn P.Nope. After calling to reschedule with me twice, I took off work to be home during their preferred and scheduled work window (which was 3.5 weeks out from the first time I called.) They did not show up and called three hours AFTER my window to tell me they would be another hour. Uhhhh, no. I have kids to pick up, I have a job, and I can find more reliable assistance. I went to them first because a friend told me about them, but I guess his bar is either really low or he magically got serviced.
I called RS Andrews earlier this week and the customer service reps were very personable and made me want to do business with them. They told me that the technician would give me a call before he came out my appointment was between 8 and 12 pm. The leak was somewhat identified by Cobb Water. I am up and ready at like 735am waiting for the Technician. No cal or text. He just knocks on the door like there's a zombie apocalypse outside or he was waking the dead. When I open the door he did not say good morning or anything he just looked at me and said well where is the leak? I responded it's right where Cobb County marked with a flag in the yard. Then in a gruff manner said it's. $495 to dig the whole yard up and look for the leak and then it will be additional money up to $1800 to repair it. I said well it seems as though I'm bothering you this morning and he said I drove an hour to get here. I responded but that's not my problem - that's between you and RS Andrews and he mumbled something and went out slammed his truck door. Plus he drove his heavy truck onto my driveway instead of parking on the street. Our interaction was up to five minutes before he stopped off to slam his car door loudly. When I got in the house I then received the text from him or somebody saying I am on my way to your house! I also received a survey which I was happy to fill out completely and submit. . I would not recommend this company for plumbing estimates or for anything and it's a good thing this was free because I would ask for my money back. He was not personable - he seemed like it was irritating to him that he had to drive for an hour and he hadn't even told me what the prices were so he couldn't be upset for driving out to the job and then me not signing up for it I live in Marietta but it is unprofessional for a rep of a company to display any type of dismay for his assignment to the customer and to a prospective customer !
We've used them in the past but not again. In exasperation I had to push for qualified tech. He was savvy and began by selling new units - no! Ultimately, in order to get work done in the heat we had to sign a 2 or 3 year service contract and join their VIP (?) club. A $300 job cost me over $1,000 and no followup. I consider this the profile of the All American HVAC rip-off.
This company quoted me $400 just to find a leak in my air conditioner and then another $1500-$2500 dollars to FIX the leak. I got the work done for $600 total. DO NOT let this company scam you. You can see the reviews on here are not that great for this company.
Kiwini S.Dealing with this company is a nightmare. All of the interactions felt like we were involved in a scam. There is no follow up. The plumber basically wanted to replace everything and gave us an estimate of thousands of thousands of dollars. Interestingly, we later got 2 other estimates and both the other plumbers (which were highly recommended and had superior service) disagreed. They said it was like they were not only price gouging but looking to do unnecessary work. What was amazing was that the other 2 plumbers were similar in price quotes and also all recommended the same repairs. RS Andrews has declined over the years. We had used them off/on for over a decade but will not use them again. (Oh yeah, and they were an hour late too after we waited all morning). Companies would be better to extend their windows than to have people upset because they're so late
RIPOFF! As several other reviewers have reported, RS Andrews grossly overcharges for products and services. Yesterday, they charged $180 per lb or $540 for recharging my AC system with 3 lbs of R-410A refrigerant on top of a $99 diagnostic fee. A simple online search shows that one can purchase 25 lbs of R-410A refrigerant for $489 which makes it roughly $20 per pound. RS Andrews charges 9 times that cost!! Seriously, is that how much markup you need to make up your operating expenses and profit?? Most other AC service web sites quote $40-50 per lb. I will never use this company again!
Tracy P.Horrible scheduling nightmare with this company . Started on a Saturday I had sent a request for what I thought was maintenance, which the business response was did I want a new unit ? By that time the AC had quit putting out cold air all together. I've went back and forth on Sunday and Monday scheduling , oh and not to mention the call I had on Sunday stating he can send someone out for $200 to diagnose but NOT repair , that would have to wait till Wednesday. So on Monday I received a call stating I cancelled an appt which I hadn't . Gets to the day off to a call from them that again I have to change because the person isn't able to complete it today and will be Friday???? Wth is wrong with business nowadays? Do they not want the work?
