I've been a customer of Roy's for many years and frequently recommend them to friends but today I experienced one of the most frustrating interactions with one of their customer service staff who answers the phone and schedules for them. I first called and spoke to Megan, who was helpful and efficient in scheduling a clean out same day as I've come to expect from Roy's but when I called back to request that the driver give me a heads up when they were on the way another woman answered the phone and said I hadn't called to schedule an appointment and that she was the only one in the office. She put me on hold and came back and said oh Megan is here and answering the phone, what is it you need? So I started again. The next hurdle was she asked if there are tenants in the house and I confirmed that there are so she wanted their phone number, she then went on to say that if they don't answer when the driver calls they won't come out. I told her that the tenant would be home all day and works from home but if they are in a meeting they may not be able to answer the phone and she snapped back, "" then we won't come"" I said please just have the driver call me and I'll meet them there and she said we need the tenants number because if no one is home we won't come. She never offered any other way to help she just kept saying, ""if they don't answer the phone we won't come."" Really frustrating call. So disappointing.

Curtis with Roys Sewer Service came today and quickly cleared our kitchen drain. As long as he had time left he asked if any other drain was slow and did our bathtub. Nobody has even ever suggested that before. We would definitely use them again and ask for Curtis.

Called for a backed up sewer...not great for a Friday afternoon. Curtis came right out and quickly sized up and solved the problem. i will call Roy's once a year to keep these sewer lines open. Thanks, Judy in Novato

Called Roy's Sewer Service to resolve a slow kitchen and garage drain issue. Justin shows up within a couple of hours and was able to clear the drain shortly. Dispatch called to update ETA when the tech is on the way. After the clearing, the drain is working really well and no more air bubbling sound. Will not hesitate to recommend to friends.

Be careful. This company is very specifically not a plumber's service. This is an important distinction because I would not have hired them if I knew they couldn't do the work I needed. They definitely didn't tell me they couldn't, even after the job!

They were hired to fix a slow draining sink and tub for a rental property. They came and put in 1.5 hours of billable work(close to $300), and left, with the sink drain still dripping underneath(it was dripping before). No notice from them that it wasn't fixed, or that they couldn't fix it because they aren't plumbers. After I was told by the tenant about the ongoing problem, I called them back to have them fix it, to be told, rudely, they wouldn't and they didn't have to tell me that the drain was still leaking, because they don't know how many times the tenant had already told me about it.
It was unprofessional.

Save yourself the hassle and just call a real plumber, unless you have a very specific problem! I'm definitely not using them ever again.

Roy's was recommended by my contractor. Called and they were able to come out same day to clear two access drains. Curtis cleared out one end of the house, but then we were having a hard time locating the second clean out. After some snooping we found it hiding under a irrigation lid. Very personable, and made recommendations for updating the septic line to prevent future issues. Will be using them to clear the septic tank in the near future.

Fast service. I called them in the morning and they came in the afternoon. I am happy with Roy's even though we weren't able to fix the problem during the visit; however, we were able to identify the issue and I was given a good general direction on how to do it myself, and I did it, 85% fixed an hour after Roy's Service left my house, which probably saved me a couple of hundred dollars. Sorry, I forgot the tech's name; thank you, my friend!

My regular plumber was short-handed and couldn't respond to my blocked drain. He recommended Roy's who came within two hours of my calling, cleared the blockage (roots once again!) and finished the work in less than 30 minutes.

We had someone from Roy's come out today to flush out our septic that had been blocked up and was causing waste water to seep into the bathtub. He was able to get it cleaned out and let us know what was going on fairly quickly. He was very professional and was in and out in under an hour. I was a little nervous having someone at the house with COVID but he wore a mask and maintained a safe distance when we had to talk. Would highly recommend them! It was also much more affordable than I expected so that's a nice bonus.

A clogged lateral line is not something anyone likes to experience. I called Roys Sewer Service at 8:15 am in the morning to arrange for service. Before 11:30 am, I received a call that Tim was on his way. Once he arrived, he quickly set up, snaked the lateral in both directions and cleared the stoppage. Tim was efficient, friendly, and professional while he was here. I highly recommend Roy's Sewer Service for its prompt and efficient service.
