Outstanding service. Rare these days for a plumbing company. They either want to overcharge you or up-sell you something. Sergio did neither. He was professional, efficient and on time. We had a shower drain clogged and he was in and out in 20 minutes! Highly recommended.

I had a very positive experience with Sergio at Royco Plumbing!
1. He fixed our 2 problems with no problems. He adjusted the water pressure regulator in our new home so we could have more pressure. And he fixed our bathtub's water spout diverter that was broken.
2. He was very courteous and professional.
3. He was very easy to reach on the phone and always responsive.
4. He was very clean.
5. He was very conscientious of my 2.5-year-old daughter who is immunosuppressed and needs to be in a clean environment. He put cloth booties over his boots when he came inside and he took them off every time he left the house to get something from his truck (I didn't even have to ask him to do that). And he didn't ring the doorbell when he arrived but rather called me instead to let me know he's here, so that he doesn't risk waking my daughter up from her nap.

I agree with someone wanting to place a zero star because that's how I feel. Terrible, Terrible, Terrible!!! I live South Orange County and called my home warranty company for help with a water stoppage problem. They called Royco Plumbing, now I don't know how many Royco Plumbing company's there are but the owner told me they were located in Ventura, I got a certified mail item trying to clear this problem from Huenema, Ca so maybe he's in several locations and giving crappy customer service along with one of their plumbers frauding people.
I'll make this as short and sweet as I can. I'm a single woman relying on a home warranty company to send out contractors that can be trusted. The call out was for a Water Backup problem i.e. water coming up thru the toilets, sinks, shower, etc. The plumber comes out and tells me he needs to replace the garbage disposal because it was installed incorrectly and in order for him to test the water flow where he snaked it this has to be done. I trusted him so I agreed to have the work done. So, $555.00 later which included a $395.00 new garbage disposal/labor (or was it new?) $60 call out fee from the home warranty company and $100 to break the cement in the garage to do the snaking of the pipes. I had to pay with a check or cash since their credit card machine wasn't working right now. (Sure!!!) Next day, water still backing up so I called the home warranty company and the plumber to come back out. Told me he had to get a camera to find out where the stoppage was which could take 3-5 days since their camera was broken. I had to take some action so my sister told me to call my property management company, which I did and they came out the next day. Their plumbers found the problem, cleared it with no cost to me since it wasn't my responsibility to pay for it. Basically I paid a lot of money for what??? My lesson was learned now below is an outline of what I had to go thru because I tried to get $395.00 back from the plumbing company which the owner and I agreed to $200 just to get it done. It took over one month to get the money. It took 3 calls to the home warranty company which included a service rep and 2 managers and a threat to go to the last manager's boss if this wasn't cleared up on the day before Christmas Eve. The owner of Royco Plumbing and his company was always on voice mail and never available. The owner did call back but never fulfilled his promises of getting the money to me. First the check he mailed to me didn't have enough money to cash it (I went directly to his bank) My guess it was a petty cash account for situations just like these. Promised to get me the money in cash twice and always had an excuse why they couldn't make it. Every time I called the home warranty company and Royco about getting my promised money and then threatened to go to Facebook, Yelp, all the news channels and small claims court was the only time I got a call back.
Bottom line, I finally got a call from Royco on Christmas Eve telling me they're on their way with the cash and would meet me in 30 minutes. This is because I had a call to the home warranty contractor's operations department the night before with a threat to go up the chain if something wasn't done NOW!!!
The money was exchanged but what a terrible lesson I had to learn.
Basically it took way too many calls to the home warranty company and going up their chain of managers to get them motivated to get Royco to pay up.
My advise is to save money to pay for reliable, referral contractors and go to Lowes, Home Depot, etc. for major appliances because I understand that home warranties only replace these items with referred appliances.

Absolutely horrible!
They were referred to me by my home warranty company what a mistake that was. They tried to take advantage of me as a woman.
My water heater went out on a Sunday (DAY 1), I called them on Monday (Day 2) morning to see how soon they could get out to my house, I was told Wednesday (Day 4). So once they show up they tell me yup its out. Ahhh duh YES I knew this, when I spoke to them on Monday I told them to bring a water heater with them as it needed to be replaced as it was unfix able, because my heater had been leaking for some time they were going to have to replace the stand and my home warranty company wouldn't pay to repair that, so I asked Royco how much would that cost to be replaced, the ""Big"" guy tells me oh about $320.00 excuse me. I about laughed in his face. Because of their lacks-a-dazy attitude and their complete lack of professionalism, I called my home warranty company and I told by my home warranty company that they (Royco) told them it would be $175 to replace the stand. So the ""Big"" guy was probably going to pocket my extra cash.
So none the less, I had the removal of the water heater and the replacement of the stand done by a friend and all it cost me was parts of $28.00 and a case of beer for the labor.
Once all of this was removed, Royco was supposed to show up at my house on Saturday (Day 7) between 1-4, and guess what the jerks didn't even show up. I had to call my home warranty company to find out that they canceled my appointment and they lied saying that they tried to reach me when they didn't, I was literally waiting by the phone the entire day. My home warranty company said that ROYCO wouldn't be able to get out there until next Wednesday (Day 10) to replace my water heater.
I ended up going to Lowe's and having them install it.
Royco kept me without hot water for 7 days and honestly thought I would have put up with their crap for another 3 days. Sorry wasn't going to happen.
STAY AWAY FROM THEM! They are so unprofessional, please look up there BBB rating and all the complaints against them.

I have home warranty and they send Royco Plumbing woooow they are great , they drive nice and clean trucks, uniform an Ana from dispatch was very nice, i think if you dont understand your policy from the home warranty is not their problem Royco is great!
Thanks

Incompetent and irresponsible staff. Be aware they have filed for bankruptcies in the past - I would consider them not financially sound - which results in poor service. Service is not acceptable. If you see Sergio run away.

Consumer beware....
Attempted to use a local plumber however ....Royco Plumbing part charges for installing a Hot water heater are completely out of line and on top of that... their customer service person was very rude.
Royco Charges Home/Lowes costs
Replacement flex gas line $125.00.... actual cost $15.00
City code permit $185.00 ............. actual CITY permit costs $50.85
Replacement vent $65.00 ........... actual costs $10.00
Temp valve $115.00................. actual cost $20.00
Strongly recommend going to Home deport or Lowe's for outstanding customer service and fair pricing

I wish I could give this place zero stars. They were subcontracted to fix a pipe leak by my home warranty company. They called me to say they would come between 10-2. 2 o'clock rolled around and no one showed. I called them back to find out what's happening and the person that answered the phone said they would find out and call me back. After another hour passed, I called back again and this time the person said that the tech assigned to my house felt sick and so they would have to reschedule but would not be available until 2 days later! I called back my home warranty company and requested another subcontractor. I will never use these people.

this company doesn't return phone calls, no shows or is very late to all their appointments, and their contractors do shoddy work. the only work they get I believe is through home warranty companies. I wouldn't use this company if their services were free.

In my opinion Royco Plumbing is a TERRIBLE COMPANY. They never pick up thier phone and all you get is a voice mail. They had no problem lying to me during our initial conversation. I placed a service call to our home warranty company, American Home Shield, and nearly 24 hours later we did not receive a call from Royco Plumbing. They initially tried to place the blame on American Home Shield stating that they didn't receive a service call until after their office had closed at 5PM. When I stated that I was calling American Home Shield to complain that they hadn't called Royco Plumbing in a timely manner Royco Plumbing retracted their story and stated that they received the service call at 11:25AM the day before. They then stated that they had tried calling me earlier in the morning but when I checked my phone logs they showed that Royco Plumbing tried contacting me only after I called my home warranty company to complain about the lack of service from Royco Plumbing. When I asked to speak to the owner, office manager or field superintendent I was told that they were not available to talk to me but when I went to the California State License Board website it stated ""This license is exempt from having workers compensation insurance; they certified that they have no employees at this time"". I guess that explains why I didn't hear from the office manager or superintendent. I did receive a call from the owner who was rude and only wanted to talk over me and didn't seem to know the meaning of customer service which I guess reflects the attitude of the girl that answers the phone at Royco Plumbing. He went on to state that since our repair wasn't that important and not an emergency that there was no rush in attending to the repair. And American Home Shield has stated that they will continue to use Royco Plumbing as one of their plumbing contractors despite the fact that Royco Plumbing tried to throw American Home Shield ""under the bus"".
