Agree with all the negative reviews. Our home warranty company sent Royal Plumbing & Rooter to detect and fix a gas leak. The plumber came out, left to ""go buy something"", came back and spent the next 3 hours trying to find the leak. He charged me $375 and claimed to have fixed the leak, but then we could still smell gas in the house. When I tried to call them, the phone number went straight to voicemail and the mailbox was full.
Our real estate agent helped me find another phone number, but when I called to complain, Royal Plumbing & Rooter first told me the $375 was only to detect the leak, and not for repairs. Then he said I should have called them back if I wasn't satisfied with the work and the plumber had ""tightened"" the end cap where it was leaking from.
So, first he said there's no leak, and then he said the leak was fixed by tightening the cap, but there was no evidence anything had been done to that rusty, old end cap. They should have replaced it, if that's where the leak was coming from.
Due to the phone number not working, and them not being in contact to email me my receipt, there was no way for me to reach them to tell them it was still leaking. When I talked to Royal Plumbing & Rooter, he just argued with me. I would give them 0 stars if I could.
Also, shame on Home Guard home warranty for including this plumbing company on their contractor list.

My house had a pipe leaking in kitchen last Sunday, the house had water flooding issue. My home warranty company assigned the service order to Royal Plumbing & Rooter and they said they don't have person working during weekend and promised to send the technician on Monday morning. OK, we accepted it. But they didn't show up on Monday and didn't answer the call or text no matter from us or the home warranty company. I ended up wasted one and half day and had to find another local plumbing company for the fix. Very bad experience with this company and will never use them in the future.

I use Homeguard Home Warranty insurance and they referred me to Martin. He called me on Sunday before I reached out and I sent him a picture of the water heater that was not working. As promised, he showed up between 10 am and 1 pm on Monday . He and his assistant finished the job in an hour and the problem seems to be resolved. His English is not great but sufficient to get the job done. I suspect some of the negative comments may relate more to that aspect. I'd give Martin 5 stars for being professional and reliable.

My water heater started a heavy leak in the middle of the night. I desperately pleaded with my home warranty company to find a plumber to repair it the next morning. Unfortunately Martin Espinoza with Royal Plumbing &Rooter responded. Immediately he requested the $75 warranty pymt and asked me to write a separate check payable to him for $330 for parts. When I asked if parts were included with the tank replacement, he angrily replied if I don't want to pay him, find another plumber. Out of desperation I wrote the checks. I found out the parts purchased were approximately $80... no more, and of poor quality. I would NEVER recommend this company, nor will I ever use him again. He's very shady and unprofessional!!!

Very disappointing.... I went through my home warranty company for my hot water heater. Martin came out stated the hot water heater needs to be replaced & I would need to pay up front a total of $500.00. I have never had to come out of pocket for any repairs through my home warranty company. I called and spoke with my home warranty company in reference to this matter and was told NO I should not have to pay up front for Martin refused to speak with the rep from my home warranty. A call was made to the owner of the company and was told the amount of $330.00 was for a part that was not covered under warranty. Okay that understandable but where did the $500.00 come from??? Once I informed My Warranty Company I will pay the $330.00 once the job is done. Then Martin stated he could not do the job without an authorization number then left and told his boss I refused to pay when in fact my home warranty knew I was going to pay and informed the owner. So now I have not had any hot water for 4 days because they don't do hot water heaters on the weekends. Needless to say I will be changing my home warranty company and WILL NOT RECOMMEND Royal Plumbing & Rooter TO ANY ONE....

Martin is great.
We reported a leak from our water heater this morning, flooding our garage and leaving us without hot water.
Martin was at our house within a couple of hours, and the job was completed this evening.
Thank you so much, Martin.
Highly recommended.

It's disappointing that home warranty companies don't do more research in the subcontractors they use. These guys were dispatched to replace a water heater at my home. After arriving the guy informed us that because our water filtration system and a shelf were there that it was going to be a much harder job and so there would be an extra charge. I offered to remove the shelf to make more room but he said that was okay but he needed to still charge more to cut the pipe on top??? I've seen a water heater being replaced before and what he showed me seemed like standard remove and replace work that I've seen done before but he ensured us it was way more work and he would not replace it unless we gave him $330? Well one day without hot water was enough so we coughed up the dough. Well all that extra hard work took him and his helper right at an hour. Now I'm no rocket scientist but billing the warranty company for who knows how many hours then charging the home owner another 330 for a job that took and hour??? What a sham!!! Do not even think for a second think about hiring these guys! They have zero integrity !!!

June 2020. Overcharged and ripped-off for shoddy work. Find a different plumber.
I needed quick service to fix a rusted out water line leading to my house from the well. Martin came the same day to do the repair. It should have been maybe a two hour job that was stretched to 8 hours. A 1-foot hole in the sand to get to a fitting landed me a $50 dollar digging fee, and I ended up paying over $600 for a job that was left unfinished at 9pm. Apparently Martin does not know how to use thread-seal tape because the fittings leaked when I turned the pressure on the next morning. Called a real plumber (who was not available the previous day) and he redid the entire job in 90 mins for $160.

Absolutely horrible. Damaged my property, caused more problems than they solved and I'm not sure they even fixed that. Argumentative and unable to follow simple instructions, left their garbage. I would NEVER use these people and highly recommend you avoid them.

We were very impressed with the service today for our hot water heater and garbage disposal.
