Recommended Customer Reviews
Melissa L.I write this review not lightly, but out of an obligation to warn all prospective customers about the egregious misconduct and utter incompetence exhibited by Royal Plumbing. This company's conduct not only falls drastically below any reasonable industry standard but may well expose them to legal liability and regulatory scrutiny.
First and foremost, Royal Plumbing demonstrated an appalling disregard for customer welfare and contractual obligations. Royal Plumbing was assigned to me by American Home Shield and took an unconscionable two and a half months to address a critical air conditioning repair amid a severe heat advisory exceeding 100 degrees. This delay, marked by a complete absence of urgency or transparency, is not just poor service- it constitutes a breach of the duty of care owed to their customers.
Communication practices by Royal Plumbing are deceptive and unprofessional. They increased the price throughout the process and systematically ignored inbound calls from clients while selectively retrieving voicemail messages, effectively controlling and evading customer contact at will. They do this to exhaust customers and avoid any accountability.
Financially, Royal Plumbing has no justification for retaining over $4,600 without delivering a functioning AC system. Instead of remedying the issue, their installation practices violated at least three building code requirements, left equipment unsecured on the roof, and caused multiple complaints from the homeowner's association. Their negligence triggered fire and security alarms multiple times, and most recently caused water leaks flooding units below our residence due to an improper installation, damage for which Royal Plumbing is now liable.
Their workmanship and operational competence are nothing short of catastrophic. The company's leadership and customer service team have displayed an abysmal level of professionalism, or rather, a complete lack thereof. At first, communication was normal but as problems increased, attempts to coordinate with them were met with indifference and disrespect, including ignoring explicit instructions to communicate with authorized representatives. This resulted in confrontations with our tenants and purposefully installing the thermostat incorrectly so that the air conditioning system unusable during extreme heat conditions--cruel and unprofessional. They left the property saying that it would ""take a few hours to cool"". 24 hours later, and the unit was still not working. It's been almost a month, and I still have not heard from Royal Plumbing. I've reached out to their team to try to rectify thi,s but received no response. We ultimately had to hire another contractor to come and fix it.
We have no choice but to take further actions.
To any individual or entity considering engaging Royal Plumbing: this company will impose a costly, hazardous, and deeply frustrating experience. The risk of property damage, regulatory violation, and personal stress far outweighs any benefit. Frankly, it seemed as though they lacked even the basic knowledge to properly install an HVAC unit. It would have been much easier and more efficient if they had simply focused on completing the job correctly from the start.
American Home Shield customers assigned to Royal Plumbing should demand immediate reassignment to a competent contractor before irreparable harm occurs.
Royal Plumbing's actions, or lack thereof, reflect a systemic failure in every aspect of their business operations. This review serves as a formal warning: do not entrust your property, safety, or peace of mind to this company. Their record of neglect, deception, 1-Star reviews, and incompetence speaks volumes, and ignoring these warnings invites nothing but an expensive nightmare.
The owner and management of Royal Plumbing should take immediate steps to rectify these issues before further legal or reputational consequences ensue.
Tennille P.Royal plumbing was contracted to service me through American Home Shield. I needed a diverter switch replaced on a shower and a new faucet on a sink, which was all covered by AHS. Royal plumbing didn't like that what was needed was covered so they made up other things to get extra money. Like saying they needed to tear out my shower wall to modify a pipe for the diverter switch and saying they couldn't find a faucet to fit my sink so I needed a whole new sink. The sad thing about it AHS didn't even fight for me when Royal Plumbing was trying to scam me. Good thing I said let me get a second opinion; I got both of those things fixed new faucet and diverter switch done by another plumber 3x less than what Royal Plumbing wanted to charge and no shower wall torn out or new sink.
Royal Plumbing and AHS are scammers
I would like to thank Tristan the technician from Royal Plumbing. He did a great job stopping the leak & he gave me a new faucet. He also cleaned up after the job was done. LK
While the technician Eric is always amazing, the company itself is horrible. They sent me three different quotes to get work done, increasing the cost with each quote. They are unreasonable expensive. I am reporting them to the better business bureau.
I gave this guy joe Sullivan my money and after 2 weeks he never finished the job. He took my money and ran.
