Inevitably, I woke up to a leaking water heater during my one day off in over two weeks. I called our regular plumber, but he wasn't able to come out due to illness. Now I was really stressed. I talked to Boyett's, the company from whom I rent a water softener and hot water recirculater. The owner highly recommended Roy Dossey Plumbing and said they had been doing business with them for quite awhile.

The person I talked to at Roy Dossey was very helpful and was able to get a plumber out that afternoon. She told me the anticipated price and estimated time of replacement. Two gentleman arrived at the quoted time and took about 90 minutes to replace our old water heater and install a new pan.

Everything went smoothly and made a stressful situation fairly painless. Couldn't have asked for more.

It was great that they showed in mask. I used them for making a new gas line from the meter to our kitchen, and also to fix a leak under our sink. They were very reasonably priced and very professional.

As with a few reviews below, they were, No-Shows, No-Answer, and No-Call Back.

I have a scary problem of an underground water main leak. I called them and was told that someone would be by to assess the problem that afternoon, or the next day, and they would put me on their schedule for 7 days out.

I stayed home for both of those two days, and they never showed up. Then I called on the 3rd day and they did not answer. I left a message asking if I was still on the schedule for the appointment they had available.

They NEVER called back. (still have not,) All this while I had a large problem that is getting worse as I was waiting on their help.

Then I had to start all over to get on the schedule with another company.

Friday almost 5 pm and I discover there is a leak in the copper pipe coming directly from my water main! YIKES!! One call to Roy Dossey and they had a guy out within 30 minutes. Less than an hour later, water is back on and I am a happy camper. This is not the first or the last time I will be using this family owned, competent, honest and reasonably priced company!!

Before you call any other company....check with the Dossey company first.
They relocated a water pipe in less than half the time another company estimated the job to be. The cost was 1/3 the original bid. The next time we used this company, again, the job was done in a flash, saving us money....and the hot water heater went in with out a hitch the recirculation unit was hooked up ( the last company didn't bother to re-establish the line) and the second floor bathrooms now have instant hot water. The third call was to change out a filter.
Plumbing can be such a pain.....with one problem after another.
Dossey comes in ...does the job right the first time....reducing frustration and you mind is free of the problem.
Kudos to a great family business!!!!

In one week I had a problem with my sink leaking into my kitchen cabinet and shower leaking from top floor damaging the ceiling in my dining room. I called Dossey and they were incredibly responsive. I sent a pic of the parts needed, they ordered and repaired both in the same week. Knowledgeable, thorough and respectful repair experts. Highly recommend!!

Just had my kitchen faucet and disposal replaced. And also a toilet rebuilt. Dossey has been our family plumber for the last 40 years or so. Always quick to respond and they work fast with always great quality. A good Chandler family we always call for our plumbing needs.

Our family has been clients of theirs for close to 30 yrs and usually our experience with them is good. Recently they put in some plumbing fixtures in the bathroom and it seemed to me that they were sticking out too far so I told the contractor but he told me it was fine so I dropped it. After the tilers came and tiled the back we noticed that the cover wouldn't fit now. I called the plumber again and they scheduled me for the following day. Took time off from work so I could be present and that morning they called to say they wouldn't be able to make it out for another 5 days! I wasn't happy with this but after speaking with Roy's daughter she said she would send her best guy out so I figured I had no choice but to wait. Scott arrived, fixed it and another fixture we were having difficulty with and to my surprise did not charge us for anything.

I would say if you are having problems with any of their work give them a chance to remedy it because they might surprise you in the end.

Family owned and operated since 1963--that in itself speaks volumes.
Recommended by 2 of our neighbors who had major plumbing issues. We had 2 different plumbing issues, weeks apart. 1. We had a sewer line backup into our kitchen sink/laundry room sink--the day before a party at our home! Plumber, Fernando, came out the next day, on time,--snaked the drain, the clog cleared, party was great, and they were reasonably priced. He was professional, efficient and polite.
2. Noticed water oozing down our basement wall, which is part of our internal garage wall. Memorial day weekend. Called Roy Dossey plumbing, left a message, requesting a Wednesday appt. Phone call back on Tuesday, appointment for Wednesday. Plumber, Scott, showed up on time. Assessed the situation, with much critical thinking, (we thought it was the sewer line under the garage floor slab that we had a problem with 7 years ago). Scott determined it was the hot water pipe behind the wall/behind the hot water heater in the garage. Cut a hole in the drywall and sure enough, the pipe had sprung a pinhole leak that had been leaking down our basement wall. Fixed the leak, we requested a new hot water heater (ours was on ""borrowed"" time), had a hot water heater delivered and installed! All within 2.5 hours!

Have used numerous other plumbing companies to only be disappointed with their work/price and their work ethic of trying to sell products/services that we did not need--hence the plumbers are on commission.

Unless they can make a lot of money on your house, they obviously can't be bothered. My advice is to not be too detailed when leaving a message for them or they will NOT call back. Our hot water heater is under warranty, I guess too small of a job for them to even return the call as a courtesy. Yes, I understand completely as our home is only a few years old (a fact I stated in my detailed message) - so I'm guessing there is not really much they can ""create"" as problems, so they choose to ignore the service call rather then have the decency and the professionalism to return the call. And to advertise 24/7 too - really?!?!! Too many good honest companies out there to choose from and this is NOT a company that I would recommend. Thank you Ben Franklin for saving the day.
