Really love this company! Their well-trained plumbers have repeatedly handled difficult projects. They have gone above and beyond helping me with my old building, and I urge you to consult Caron & Waltz. In truth, I urge you to memorize their phone number - I certainly have. (Projects have included: removing cast iron tub and installing new tub/pipes/fixtures; replacing an old toilet including repairing an old poured-lead pipe connection; installing a heavy 1930s cast-iron double sink; etc.) I've used other companies before and won't go back. We've used Caron & Waltz twice now at our home and we will most definitely use them again.

This time, we had a minor plumbing issue that wasn't an emergency but, with winter coming on, needed attention sooner rather than later. We were able to schedule a service call that fit our schedule - no easy thing in our household.

The plumber was on time, skilled and prepared. Their rates are fair and the service is excellent. If you need a plumber, give them a call.

We lost our hot water on a Saturday morning. Our regular boiler man was out of state on vacation and wouldn't be back for two weeks, so we had to try another outfit. I called Caron & Waltz and explained our situation to their answering service. When a technician finally called us back, he told us that he was unwilling to come out and help us because we weren't regular customers.

I filled in their on-line feedback form to tell them about this experience. The form says that respondents will be contacted about their feedback, but I never got a response.

I wonder how Caron & Waltz gets regular customers with this kind of service.

Then again, it might not matter to them. They've been in business for years, so they probably don't care whether they get new customers or not. But I thought I'd pass this story along, anyway, in case anyone reading is looking for a plumbing or heating company. If you have an emergency, don't waste your time calling Caron & Waltz. They won't help you.
