No common sense. I told him where the clog was and he didn't put a camera down the drainage to confirm it. I was busy working and distracted or I would have turned him away. I also told him it may be roots, but he didn't check that either. He did everything backwards. He hired another company to come out and jet the pipe to get rid of the clog without checking to see what the problem was first. Turned out it was crushed pvc pipe and if he used a camera first we would have learned that. He wanted to charge me $450 for the Jetter when he was only paying $250 to have someone else do the work. He made it sound like it was his Jetter, not that he was renting it. I told him it may be roots, so a jetter would not have worked either way. If he had checked it first with the camera, it would save me time and money. He hired another plumber to do the work I hired him to do. Dumbest thing ever. I feel like a fool. He took advantage of single mom with two kids. I knew more than him and he failed to listen to me. He was both arrogant, slow, and greedy. You have been warned.

For anyone needing a plumber, I highly recommend, Tom Routhier.
(I am not getting, nor will I get anything for this recommendation. Just sharing a good resource for those who need it.)
Tom answers/returns calls in a timely manner, has pride in his work, is a great problem solver with complicated plumbing problems, affordable, and his SUCH a nice and honest man.
He will be our plumber for life -- for the smallest of jobs to the biggest. We trust Tom.

Tom Routhier really went out of the way to accommodate us again. He was willing to arrive late on a Friday afternoon after other workers had completed their tasks to make sure that the kitchen remodel was finished the same day. Spectacular service again!

This was the third time that we have had the pleasure of using Routhier Plumbing. Each time, we were impressed with the quality of the work and the fair pricing. We found Tom to be considerate and very thorough. He is truly an artisan among plumbers and someone who only suggests repairs or changes that are really needed.

We are very pleased with Routhier Plumbing and highly recommend them. They are #1 in our book, and we are certain to use them again!

Just had my sink problems fixed from this company and they did an amazing job. Quick, and about half the cost from some other companies I got quotes from. He came one day found the leak, told me I need a new faucet and some new pipes because mine were definitely loose. Went to Home Depot, picked up a faucet and he came back the next day installed it within a couple hours. Courteous, clean and overall great job. Thanks Tom and Bobby

They came out on the Fourth of July when our whole house was backed up. I was impressed with their speed of response, professionalism and ability to resolve the problem quickly at a very reasonable price.

Scheduled an appointment to around a build, he never showed up, called 2 hours later to say he couldn't make it but could definitely come the next day. We set a time for noon. I called at 1230 and he didn't answer, called again at 1:15 when he answered to tell me he wasn't going to make it again. Now I have to try and find someone else to keep my install on schedule. Untrustworthy.

Excellent & Trustworthy!
On memorial day this year I came downstairs to a flooded kitchen. Tom saved my new fridge and stove from getting damaged by locating a valve leak and fixing it on the spot. And, for a very reasonable price. I've had him back several times to install faucets and shower heads. He's leaves everything neat and clean. It's always service with a smile from Tom and his crew. I recommend him to everyone that needs a professional courteous plumber.
