We needed to have a septic emptied since we are selling a rental. Another company was booked out a few weeks, which was past the closing date, so was concerned about that. We called Roto-Rooter and he said the guy had just finished a job the next town over and he would send him our way. The tech was very professional, nice and knowledgeable. He was actually able to pump our rental and home all in the same morning! Great service!!

Today has been so stressful and hectic for our family. We just bought a new house and unfortunately (although the piping and everything had just been replaced) we were having water that would not properly drain from our toilet or shower. I called the office out of Chehalis (I think someone named Tammy helped me). Tammy was quick over the phone, not much too say. I had to ask her about pricing and what not before she rushed me off. I get it. The day turned around once Steven (Stephen?) showed up!! This guy is hardworking, transparent, quick to the point and very thorough. I feel like I completely lucked out with him as our ""plumber"".

He talked me through the whole process and explained every little detail. Even made some recommendations about different (safe) toilet paper to buy for our plumbing and chemicals for cleaning. He also didn't mind our dog or crazy household. He did exactly what we needed (which was basically pushing a ton of rocks out of our pipes). Above and beyond service from this gentleman. If you have issues, Steven with roto-rooter is your guy!!

Also a fair price for the work that was completed. I will call in the future if we have issues (hopefully not).

Thanks Steven!!

First, I called the listed number on here, 360-559-2869 and got an automated response about a test being successful.
Trust me it was not.
I have called 360-536-9845 Roto Rooter and 360-403-3134 Roto Rooter. All three of these numbers are for Roto Rooter, who is supposed to have emergency 24 hour service, but in reality they are for numbers for a call center, nothing but an answering service that can provide you with absolutely zero information
I have been jerked around for over 24 hours for my emergency. Which apparently is only my emergency as I have repeatedly told them there is only one bathroom in the house, and since the toilet and shower were clogged up, it is a freaking emergency for us.

Truth be known, no one ever wants to call a company like this. I was very relieved when the plumber showed up. HOWEVER
The plumber (Jesse) his ""sales"" tactic's left a lot to be desired. He insisted that he had to use the camera, to see what the problem was - a $475. cost. Literally he said, I have to do this to see the problem and fix it so do you want me to fix it or go? It was so rude, especially since I'd been waiting for over 24 hours at this point.

He wanted to show me everything, explain everything in detail, which normally would have been great. But, I'm not a plumber and to have him get frustrated and short with me, and then he started using foul language - was not cool. His apology just made it worse, because he said ""I'm sorry I got short with you. I was frustrated because I've never had anyone not understand after I've explained"". Which really pissed me off, I don't like anyone to insinuate that I am stupid just because I don't know how a septic system worked.

He stated to fix the problem, so I could shower and use the toilet, he ""had"" to cut off the inlet ""T"" because it was installed sideways and instead of being screwed on, it was glued on so it had to be cut. He also removed the screen between the line and the drain field (it helps keep stuff like grease out of your drain field) but was not able to put it back in. He just left it on the ground. SO that was not so great.

The good news is that it was greatly appreciated to have an experienced plumber took the time to explain issues in a way that I eventually understood.

The bad news...
The price...HIGH... $516. 80. I thought he would snake the pipe and be done, but nope. $516.80..And I'm going to have to have someone else come out, to replace the inlet valve ""T"" which was cut off and possibly the piping where the screen was in, as the installer chose a pipe with a 90 degree angle.. I'm sure it was easy to jam that screen in when installing the new system, it was all nice and dry.. Not so much so now.
Plus, I'm going to have the fun now of trying to get that money reimbursed by the home builder. I might not know plumbing, but I know enough with a new home build to get a one year warranty!

for Roto Rooter - Chehalis, WA: Excellent service in the office and in the field. The serviceman, James, was knowledgeable, professional, and very pleasant. The people in the office were pleasant and helpful. The charge for pumping our septic tank was reasonable.
Thank you,
Duncan

These people came to do a septic inspection for my son and ended up pumping the tank without calling him first. The lady he talk to in the office said he would not need to have it pumped it's only two years old. Then the owner gave them a smart Alec response that he saved him money. Very poor customer service. The attitude with everyone he spoke with was very poor and kind of arrogant. Would not recommend these people.

When I called to get a septic inspection, I told the lady its a 2 year old pump system and the only reason I need an inspection is because i'm selling, how much for the inspection. She told me $144 and I asked if it would need to be pumped she said no it only needs pumped about every 5 years. So my wife ended up not being able to be home but they did not clarify someone needed to be there they had her phone number so he called when he got there and she paid for the inspection. When I got home I had almost a $500 bill on my front door because they pumped it. My wife called first and the lady that answered was extremely rude (should not be in customer service!) So I called and got the same attitude from her until she finally transferred me to a some other guy and he was a little more professorial. I explained what happened and that no phone call was made when he decided to pump the tank he just pumped it and left and he kept saying that's why someone needs to be there, don't know why he couldn't call its 2019 everyone has a cell phone and that when the house is being sold it always needs to be pumped I was not told that when I called and made that clear! So the end result is I paid the bill and will never use them again!

Horrible! I called to assist with an disabled elderly gentleman who needs emergency help in his home. I was told he would have to call in because he is the home owner. I explained again that he is elderly and disabled and that I was his caregiver. The lady was rude, didnt even try to verify my story. This is rude and discriminatory.

Called and got a quote, scheduled the service and when they charged me the bill was nearly $20 more. I called to see why my bill was unexpectedly higher, and she said for the $14.50 fee they charge for paying with a credit card (which was the only payment option I was given to get the work done since I wouldn't be home between 9-3 m-f because I work). There was no mention of this fee when I scheduled the services. Then they charged me sales tax on top of the fee. She was rude when I called to question my bill. Next time I will use a company with out the hidden fees.
