Roto Rooter Burlington really came through in a pinch for me. I have one rental property in Burlington. I was out of state for work when my tenants contacted me about a major sewer back up. Roto Rooter responded very quickly, kept me in the loop through calls, texts and pictures, all the way through a long and complicated diagnosis. They identified the problem (cracked pipe outside the house), fixed the overflow, and then put me in touch with an excellent excavator able to do the outside work. All in all a very fast and competent response. I give them high marks.

Excellent same day service from beginning to end. Would recommend Roto Rooter to anyone. Same day service was immense help.

After two months I finally got them to show up and they charged me $200 for the dude to come out and wheez and sweat and complain about digging up my septic cover which I basically had to do for him because he couldn't handle it. Called a different septic service after he left and they not only showed up the same day but they also were able to diagnose the problem AND fix it for about the same price i paid the rooter man to painstakingly dig a half a hole. If at all possible find a different company these guys are unreliable, uninformed and simply not a trustworthy source.

I called at 8:30 AM and Corey was here by ten. He told me how much it would be if the sewer line was plugged and how much if he needed to go into the pipes to auger tree roots. It turned out to be tree roots. He was here for a couple hours and the cost was exactly what he told me it would be. He said if I wanted him to run a camera through the pipes he would do that for an extra $50. No problem with that. I was able to see my entire system on camera while he marked the path out on what turned out to be my driveway. To get into my system he had to hammer off the stopper at the end of the pipe because it had frozen on over the years. Before he left he got a used one from his truck and gave it to me for free. You can't beat that. Flat rate upfront, being able to see everything and have it explained, and a nice guy who was here to help me out. Thanks Corey and Roto Rooter. Five stars definitely.

I bought an 1899 house in Burlington (second newest home I've ever lived in!!) and the kitchen sink drain was slow from day 1. I tried a few fixes on my own, but it never got better, and clogged completely after running the dishwasher one morning. I called Roto Rooter after coming home for lunch, and they were able to get me an appointment for when I got home from work in the evening. They called ahead, but were right on time anyway. The drain was unclogged in about half an hour, and the technician explained what he was doing along the way, as well as giving me maintenance tips. It was a bit tough paying $300.95 for such a quick job, but I'm pretty handy at construction and DIY, and it turns out this was a problem I could not have fixed on my own; the drain had been clogged when a previous owner or occupant did some painting, so it was a challenging clog to begin with, and based on where he hit the clog, likely an inaccessible location.

This was my first clogged drain, and hopefully my last- but if it happens again, I'd give these guys a call.

We had a problem with odor coming from various areas of our home. The technician was very proficient in finding out where the problem came from, giving me my options and prices. Very professional service. Thanks!

Charged me over 400 dollars to fix a leaky toilet, started to leak again in a few months. When I told them I would not be willing to pay for any additional repairs the woman told me I was being rude.

My experience with RotoRooter began 1/20/2014, excellent customer service, technician John arrived as scheduled, and showed his professional skills trying diligently to unclog my sewer drain. To no avail it didn't happen, John said he would return the next day with a camera and we would know exactly what was happening, as promised he returned next day and explained in detail what the camera was going to do, and he explained that since we were still seeing water it meant a broken sewer pipe, NOW WHAT, I asked, John explained they arrange for everything, excavators etc. I came out of panic mode with John assuring me it will be fixed quickly and done right. Next day another part of the major project began, excavators John and Adam Driscoll arrived early AM and began doing their job, the temperature was bordering on -9's that morning, amazing how everyone involved focused on the task with expertise and not stopping till the job was completed in the afternoon with the temperature hovering around 0's. Everyone involved in the project performed at 100% professional mode with me the customer, with all the negative elements happening, waste water ! extremely cold temperatures, everything turned out great, I thank all involved and I can highly recommend RotoRooter's Craige Ohlstein and technician John and the Driscoll brothers Adam and John from Driscoll Brothers Excavating. Thanks guys for your help.

I've used this Roto Rooter before and had excellent service-fast, professional, reasonably priced, but this last time has evolved into a nightmare. They sent out Brian Everton (#22), and I have to believe something has happened with this guy since the previous reviews I have read about him elsewhere. We had a water heater, about 14 years old, that needed repair, and we told Roto Rooter this. First, Brian sat out in his vehicle for a half hour (engine running) reading his manual about water heaters. Then he came in, tinkered around, said he didn't know how to fix it, and gave us the option of him coming back to try again, but billed another $195. Um, no that's ok because you're not going to learn to fix water heaters in the interim are you? He then proceeded to talk my SO's ear off for over a half hour about how much he hated his employers, how they were screwing him over, oh and he's an amazing fisherman, etc. Completely unprofessional. He also inexplicably took a bottle of bleach we had in our basement and poured (and left) a large puddle of it on the floor. It was a wonderful moment to come home and open my basement door and have a wall of bleach fumes hit me, really great stuff. I must say though, when we surprisingly received a bill from Roto Rooter and we reported to them our experience they were absolutely great and professional about waiving the bill. We almost would be willing to use them again, except Brian left a piece of equipment at our house. Usually not a problem, except he proceeded to call us constantly about getting it back, but would never answer his phone when we called him to try to return it. We reported it to Roto Rooter and they assured us he would stop calling us, but he did not. We dropped off his equipment, a meter, at Roto Rooter a week ago. Who calls our house at 6:40 a.m. this morning? Brian. I was asleep and didn't get to it before he hung up, and he left no message, but it was him on the caller ID. He also called my workplace and left a very interesting message about getting his equipment back on the general voicemail. This guy shouldn't even have my home or work numbers in his phone. I called Roto Rooter, told them what had happened and how if he continued to call I would need to call the police. They, again, were very pleasant and professional, but gosh if they've already told him to not call but he's now calling my workplace and house in the early morning there's probably not much they can do. It's a shame that someone like that casts such a shadow on Roto Rooter and would cause me to recommend against using them. Who knew a water heater repair could be so ""interesting"".

Bought a 1934 house in November. January, I went to the basement to find the floor covered in water. I found Roto-Rooter's number (they have 24 hour service). I called them around 10pm and they said the night crew would call me back. They did very quickly. They asked questions and gave instructions to not run water if at all possible. They did take two hours to get to my house. But, they were up front with me on how long it would take and called during the two hours to give me status updates on there status. When they came in, they were professional, knowledgeable, and fixed the problem. The described the problem and told me how to prevent it so I'd never have to call them. They also gave me tips on how to maintain my plumbing issues elsewhere in the old house. They were nice people. It was a team of two. And, to top it off, Roto-Rooter does not charge extra for night / emergency service.

Thank you Roto-Rooter!
