Had a house full of people for the weekend and had a sewer backup. Contacted them on Saturday, didn't show up until Sunday afternoon! Snaked from toilet to main drain. Relieved paper stoppage and left. 2 hours later sewer backed up again. Contacted them Sunday to return and finish the job! Didn't show until Monday morning. Monday morning he snaked from toilet and relieved paper stoppage once again. Had to request that he snake to the street! He was not happy about doing it!
When I received the bill, I contacted them because I was fully charged for 2 visits after not clearing the stoppage properly the first time. I was accused of lying to them, that the plumber snaked to the street on Sunday not Monday. And that they always snaked to the street! Sorry, he was wrong! He showed poor Customer Service.
I would never use Rotor Rooter again! They didn't do a good job! and were extremely rude on the phone.

I called them three times because I had an emergency, it was after other plumbers business hours and I was desperate! I LEFT 3 MESSAGES AND THEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK! NEVER!

Unfortunately, this company lacks a sense of professional courtesy, among other things. I have two parents currently fighting cancer; and I'm sorry to say that this company did nothing to alleviate their stress but rather, added to it in a very big way. At the start of this year, my mom and dad hired this company for some house repairs that cost them roughly $475.00; however, the issue resurfaced less than two months later, and they were charged another hefty bill of almost $400.00. In all honesty, the original work done was clearly subpar quality. But did they take responsibility for that? Not at all. Subsequently, I cannot recommend this business with a clear conscience. Instead, I'm encouraging you to seek help elsewhere. Find a company, and a staff, who prioritizes good customer service. Search for a business that doesn't stoop to bullying and taking advantage of the community around them, when they're already in dire straits.

After accidentally finding my cast iron waste water pipe corroded to the cement wall, I was panicked. I thought not only was this job going to be very time consuming but also thousands of dollars-once I found out our homeowners insurance doesn't cover such things. I searched and researched for hours online, looking for the best company to contact for such an issue. After reading reviews for hours, Roto-Rooter had the best reviews in Lynchburg. I sent an email and waited patiently. My husband was contacted Sunday by James and he came to our home Monday morning. Never in a million years would I have thought it would be done that same day, but James got it done! He did such a pristine job I would never have known he had dug a hole in our front yard to expose the cast iron pipe. And in the cellar, it was so neat and tidy, even the cement work around the pipe. He completely cleaned up any mess that was made-nothing was left behind. I would never have known he was there except for the new PVC pipe in place of that yucky corroded cast iron pipe. And the best part that made me jump for joy......it was only $457!!!!! I will so be a lifelong customer and I will recommend you to everyone!! Thank You so much James!!
