Misrepresentation of the job estimate. My expectation is that they are the experienced professional and can give an accurate quote of the amount of time and supplies they need. The plumber came in with $95 to give that estimate, then said the leak would cost $1000, then changed it to $1200 for a 1.5 to 2 hour spot leak repair. At $250 per hour, that would be 5 hours of work. This was the scam, to get me to agree to a total replacement of my main water pipe. He wanted $2500 to pull PEX and replace my copper with PEX. Not my choice. When I agreed, they gave me the estimate as a flat rate estimate. The reality was he showed up late the next day with a helper, and worked for just under 4 hours. The PEX is so cheap that their expenses were $70, they charged me $350 for parts and $2150 for labor. $537.50 per hour for labor. The helper was $50 per hour. That should have been $1550 total. I also did not get the $95 off from the original estimate. When they give you an estimate that is excessive, tell them to leave, or don't use this company. I complained to the service manager that there was an over charge and I was not shown the charges for the parts until after I paid. That I should be given the benefit of the reduced costs. He said no, most customers are happy to get the flat rate that you agreed to, so there won't be a surprise if it goes over the time. What a crock!!! Customers what a fair price, with an accurate estimate, not to pay $550 per hour for a couple of hours of work.

Service was not the problem. They did what I asked. I even refused some services and shortened the equipment rental they suggested from 5 days to 2 days and was still at the TOP of the estimate. The billing was not what I expected. I was given a misleading estimate. I also believe that I was over billed as they did not take 4 hours to remove water from a small 5x5 area in my office. Just make sure you watch, document and take time stamp pics at each step if possible to make sure they don't tack extra hours on to your bill. It's your word against the techs so you will lose that battle with out proof.

Be careful of bait and switch with these folks when it comes to pricing. Just paid $200 for them to re-hook a drainpipe after quoting me half that over the phone. Plumber insisted I write my date of birth on my check
and refused to take it if I didn't.

My sewer line clogged which was causing water to backup into the house. Within an hour of calling, Hayden Rodriguez showed up and cleaned out the sewer line. He was very professional, friendly and offered tips on how to prevent it from happening again. I would not hesitate to call again.

Steve H. showed up and got our problem diagnosed and fixed quickly. He was very pleasant and personable. The job was out side in freezing weather and not once did he complain about the elements. Thank you Steve for a job well done, stay safe out there.
I used the email service on a Friday night to set up an appointment Saturday morning. Easy to set up and received a call in the am with a time to expect the plumber.

I'm a landlord with multiple properties and occasionally need help with plumbing issues. I've used this Roto-Rooter location twice for drain blockages. They are polite, efficient on the phone, dispatch quickly, professional (according to my tenants), address the issue quickly, and are fairly priced. As a guy that deals with a lot of subcontractors, this place stands out as top of the class. Thank you for all you do.

I had a great experience with this company. Made an appointment for an estimate to repair a cracked sewer line, the day of the appointment the company called to let me know the tech was 20 minutes away. The tech was prompt, polite and quoted me a price that was 1/3 of what 3 other companies quoted. I scheduled the work for the next afternoon (they offered to start right then but I had an appointment).
The next day the tech was on time and completed the job in just a few hours. Price was right around the quote and they did a great job!

Pathetic service! I highly unrecommend them, at least this location that is! I originally called to have them locate the clean out and clean it out. They then came the day of and I was told by a guy named Jordan that they would be able I help me find the leak but needed to find a functioning camera that they didn't have that day. I was told that they would come out the next morning. The next morning, their office staff told me they wouldn't be able to send anyone out until later, since their guy made a mistake in scheduling it for the morning, they told me that the guy that had it scheduled had that day off or was on vacation, so I had to wait until 4pm for them to come out. Another one of their guys came and worked for 2 hours, afterwards he said after using their camera and cleaning everything out, there wasn't anything wrong, except that the house had no clean out. They were originally supposed to provide me a service contract prior to starting and couldn't even provide that, they only asked me over the phone if they could start and this was the only thing they could to get started at the time. Afterwards, the next day, I was called that they wanted to collect payment, and they hadn't even sent me an invoice, they just wanted me to pay without any invoice(here I'm thinking it's an established company). They were then charging me pretty much double of what I was originally told over the phone. When I questioned them, they were very rude and pretended as if they didn't know what I was talking about, once I chewed them out to do their own due diligence on what I was talking about, they then went and fixed their financial discrepancies and sent me an invoice(of which I had to request, otherwise they wouldn't of sent me anything).
Never again will I use this Rotor Rooter!
Horrible horrible service as well as customer service!

I was very unhappy with the customer service. I called the 1-800 Roto Rooter because I had heard on the radio that they did not charge extra for nights and weekends. When it was requested I was told that the Fort Worth Roto Rooter did not do that. I didn't know that the 1-800 number sent me to the local franchise and that they didn't honor the coupons from online and the specials on the radio. How would a customer know that they are being transferred to a different roto rooter? Why wouldn't the Fort Worth branch honor what's advertised? I paid the plumber and the fix only lasted 24 hours. They wanted to charge extra to come out over the weekend. I got a phone call the next week asking why I was unhappy and unwilling to pay. The manager told them it was because they couldn't match another plumbers offer. I told them that was true but there was so much more, but did they want to know why I was unhappy with their business. When I calmly offered to explain, the woman told me, no, she didn't want to know. I was sincerely shocked! Doesn't a company want to know why their customers are unhappy? How can they improve if they are unwilling to listen? I was treated well by another company and let everyone I know how I was treated by Roto Rooter.

NO More Roto Rooter! Not only are they too expensive, but their service is terrible. I have been using them off and on for my restaurant over the years. Like Dave said, I have noticed tha they have been charging more and more.
They came out and cleaned out one of my floor drain exactly one month ago, but it stopped up again yesterday. I called them because it was still under warranty according to their receipt. However, they said they will have to charge me again because this time it is on a different hole location. Give me a break. I thought warranty covers the kitchen drainage system which they open last time they were here a month ago. They charged me $517.98 for the drain they opened. It was exactly one month ago when I paid $517. Now he is telling me thatI have to pay again for the same floor that is slow to drain, How do I know which floor drain you had to work on to open up when they were here a month ago. There are more than a dozen floor drains, and I only have problem with FLOOR Drains. I paid for $517 for the floor drains in the KITCHEN that were all stopped up. Floor drain is too slow to go out in the KITCHEN this time, but he said that I have to pay for it because he didn't work on this particular hole when he was here last time. Give me a break. It is the same kitchen floor drain system. (Nowhere on the receipt it indicates the location of the drainage that it is covered for warranty).
It is amazing how they operate to make quick and cheap money. Use a common sense if you want to keep your customer for a long time, I am a business owner myself. I bend backward to keep my customers. This is absolutely cheap way to do business, and fastest way to lose customers. I have several other restaurants and who owns restaurants in DFW area. I will tell all of my collegues to stay away from Roto Rooter. I wil never give you guys a try again, You guys are not worthy it.
