What a deplorable company. So our toilet was leaking from the base, likely the wax ring was shot. Without my knowledge, the wife called Roto Rooter. They came by, advised that the toilet was leaking """"from somewhere else"""". WRONG!!! He proceeds to tell my wife we need a new toilet. WRONG!!! Installs a new toilet and charged my wife $450!!!!!! A few days later, we head to California to visit our daughter who is in the military. We spend 12 days there. When we arrive home, we observe water all over the floor of the bathroom. Clearly leaking from the bottom. Wife calls Roto-Rooter and she's promptly told that their warranty is 7 days!!!! One freaking week?!!! Since we had gone out of town, their fabulous warranty had already expired. What kind of outfit warranties their work for only 7 days??? Never, never use this company. $450 to install a $99 toilet and 20 minutes worth of work. WHAT A RIP OFF!! You all should be ashamed of yourselves!!! My wife tried to spare me the simple task and was duped with shoddy, overpriced work, with a preposterous warranty. Guess I'll do the work myself; since the """"professionals"""" at Roto Rooter couldn't fix their way out of a wet paper bag. What a joke! Spare yourselves some trouble and call someone else. This company is a disgrace. Customer service is non existent. Do not waste your time and money. You'd be better off asking your pet to fix a plumbing issue...

Have used these folks many times. They do a lot more plumbing than I ever knew. And the best prices for small jobs that I've found.

I had an emergency with the downstairs neighbor getting water damage and called roto rooter. They told me that a plumber would call me back to schedule a time. He called at 6:30 pm and told me that he would call back the next morning to schedule and then never called me. I called roto rooter and the woman who answered had a horribly unprofessional manner when answering the phone. When I told her about the plumber and that I was going to cancel the appointment she rudely told me that my appointment was already cancelled. They never bothered to call me back as a leak is potentially ruining my neighbors house. They are rude and don't care at all.

Awesome repairman came out to fix the toilet of our weekly rental. We are vacationing and we were stuck with a clogged toilet. He saved the day within 30 minutes even after the real estate office sent out their maintenance guy. The repairman, Lamont was very very nice. Great to see an honest, hard-working and happy guy!

Charleston S.C, Location, I am very disappointed in roto rooter services I used them to unclog my toilet. The service technician used a 6 ft. snake, however that didn't work, he stated since the toilet would not flush completely, the flush jet might be clog with calcium deposits, I might need a new toilet. The service charge was $86.00, the service technician stated he could removed the toilet and put it in the bath tub to clean the jets from calcium deposits, to do that it would be an additional charge on $68.00 to do so. If this doesn't work you would need a new toilet. So why would I give you additional money, to see if this might work, if not, I would be out of $86.00 plus $68.00. Goodbye! So I went on YouTube and one site, stated to get a wire hinger and try to unclog the holes around the inner toilet rim and the small hold located at the bottom of the bowl to removed the calcium deposits.and put some dawn detergent in the toilet and let it set for a couple of minutes following with 5 buckets of hot water, by George this process did truly work. My toilet is flushing good. Roto rooter need to pay me for unclogging my own toilet. They need to be put into the hall of shame. I would not be calling them for anymore future services.

My pipes had roots growing in them. Roto rooter came out in no time to fix the problem. It was a Sunday afternoon. The price was very reasonable. The technician """"Dee"""" was a very friendly and very professional. If you ever have a problem with your sewer pipes call roto rooter!! I give them five stars. Great company and great employees!!!

The technician was prompt and courteous. He quickly accessed the problem and had the issue repaired and resolved in less than 30 minutes. I thought it was a little pricey for the service but grateful nonetheless.

awful. I paid for my service, then was called three months later saying i owed another $150 They threatened to send the invoice to credit collectors if i didnt pay.

First, the tech who never gave us his name was prompt, showing up to the door within 30 minutes. Had a kitchen sink that wasn't draining properly and have had it snaked several times before to about 75 feet, leading me to believe I may have roots or a collapsed pipe from the house to the clean out. Guy gave my husband prices over the phone for services and it was requested that the tech camera, quoted at $285, from the clean out to the house to ensure that section of pipe was in good order. Tech was put in the approximate area the clean out was located in as it was now covered with grass. He located one clean out, belonging to the neighbor's house and was sent a photo of the area that the second clean out was located (see photo). After an hour and an area that looks like it was attacked by a giant mole (see photo), he was able to locate my clean out, charging me $142.50 to find the clean out. After another period of time, the tech reported that he was unable to complete the task as the camera he had on the van was too large to make the bend. So the pipe didn't get scoped but he sure enough charged me the $285 for work he couldn't perform as well as an additional $20 to locate the sewer line. He was then asked to just snake the drain again since he couldn't look in the pipe after he offered to pull a toilet to scope from that direction. Upon snaking the drain. He claimed it was plugged at between 50 and 65 feet with food and grease, well inside the area he was asked to camera. We were then charged $265.5 for the snaking and another $10 to pull the p trap, which has to be done to snake the pipe anyways. In total, we were charged $873.50 to snake a drain. This price includes the tech tearing up my lawn looking for something he should be trained to find as well as not performing the requested task due to not having the right size camera. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone!! I feel the unnamed tech prayed upon a woman being home and jacked up the prices so he didn't have to work for the rest of the week.

Wesley came out for our second try at backed up pipes. Roto Rooter was NOT the first company to come out. Wesley was at our door within 30 minutes and he explained everything he was doing. He had some neat camera device to look down your pipes. (I would've liked to have a heads up on that one before I used the bathroom! I am still disturbed by seeing my poo go out to the sewer!) Anyway, he was able to tell us our problem and what needed to be done to fix it. No crazy crap (LOL), but an honest estimate. You got to trust the man handling your poo and things! One could have fun with all the poo and sewer jokes in this situation....heehee
