Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Shady, shady, shady. Tried to rip me off. First stated $330 to snake a clog. I said no, too expensive, and I would get my usual plumber (who wasn't initially available) Then all the sudden (when my original plumber showed up) price went to $200, which included camera with snake. My plumber told me, good deal, you should get the camera done, then he left. Then price went to $225. I agreed, then was asked to sign a contract, which was blank. Made the guy put the price down, which he did, but didn't write what services would be performed. I asked him to write down the services to be performed today. He then wrote down ""cable and camra"" (nice spelling). So, I agreed and signed. He then says he will schedule the camera, after he already told me he would do camera with snake. I told him that I would pay half now and remainder when job complete, as I didn't get a good feeling that he would come back. He said ""no, payment in full is required now"". I told him to get the hell out. My usual plumber came back and snaked the clog for $100. When I reviewed the signed contract, which I voided, my copy did not have any carbon copy of the services to be provided. He was a scammer for sure.

We had no choice but to call Roto Rooter for a backed up pipe when we only have only one bathroom and it was 9:30 at night; they do respond to these types of calls, yes at a price, but it was something that was a necessity. However, after, $431 later and told the pipe was cleared, we still have a backed up a pipe and now sewage coming up with it. And to call customer service for them to do NOTHING. We now have a call into person holding the plumbing license. Please beware of the technicians coming into your house, our initial tech was OK, it was the followup tech with the camera that was a sham! Please be VERY aware and I would NOT recommend their service.

Jemelia couldn't have been more efficient and professional. She moved heavy things for me, cleaned up thoroughly and worked diligently to remove the clog. She explained the problem and even took the dirty rags to the laundry room for me. I highly recommend Jemelia and Roto Rooter. Great Job!

To clean normal toilet clogging the company charged $225. Ripe off. They will not give you pricing or range over the phone. fradulant practice.

Not helpful. Very Expensive. Paid $375 to have camera run through pipe. Couldn't find problem. Upon removing camera found problem about 12 inches below surface, gave me a quote of $1200 to fix. No Thank You! My husband and I fixed on our own for less than $20. After a few days still getting water in basement. So I paid a lot of money to not get a good answer to what my problem was. I will not call Roto-Rooter again.

I've had to utilize Roto-Rooter's services twice in the last month. Both experiences were very positive. I should mention that the second visit had nothing to do with the first -- same issue (stuffed toilet), but had nothing to do with Roto-Rooter. Both times, they were able to get out to our home quickly and fix the problem. The technician, ""Roto-Rooter Rob"" as he is affectionately known, was knowledgeable and friendly, and had us flowing again in no time. I would definitely recommend them.

A serviceman came to my house to install a shower head, and faucets in my bathroom. After he left, the faucet wouldn't turn. The shower head did not have the wall attachment and he removed the shut off valve in the basement and put in a piece of cooper pipe. This project cost 800.00 which was crazy. The guy said that each service man can set their own service charge. I will never ever call Roto Rooter again. I will have to call them on Monday to see what they will do about this visit.

Great customer service! The technician showed up quickly to clear our storm drains. He did a great job, was very thorough, and had a hilarious sense of humor! I'd definitely use him again, although I'm hoping I won't have to.
