Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

My husband and I had a pipe break in our bathroom while replacing a toilet, we had no idea where our main shut off was (neighbors yard!) we had roto rooter come out, they fixed the pipe and began demo and clean up as quickly as they could. We had a rough time with our insurance in the beginning getting things handled. at the end there was still a large amount between roto rooter and our insurance that had not been settled. We were continually going back and forth between insurance and roto rooter. Until right before thanksgivin, Jason the manager for roto rooter water restoration messaged me with good news! He went above and beyond and settled our claim! my husband and I couldn't be happier with the service we received because our insurance was wanting us to file another claim(another deductible) to cover the remaining balance between the companies. This was such a huge weight lifted and I can't thank Jason and his team enough especially right before the holidays!

oh dear goodness, please look elsewhere. Great at scheduling quickly but prices obscene. They won't tell you what it may cost. I didn't let guy stop foot in my house without giving me estimate for T&P valve. $600! the part is less than $50. He countered ""you hired a professional company"". Uh, a professional thief. Bye-bye. keep scrolling for your plumber.

I should have researched better. I was shocked when my bill for replacing a shower valve ended up being almost $2,300.00...with $1,600 charged for labor. Their response time was the best...as they could get here the next day...but their costs are ridiculously high.

My opinion is they charge four or five times what other plumbers charge for the same work done. If you use them, you are paying way more than you could using another plumber. You are much better going with a plumber that does not do heavy advertising and is not a franchise, because you are more likely to pay what is fair, this goes the same for the water clean up side. They recently charged over $3,000 for a simple ABS 2"" drain pipe leak that was easy access and not even covered by drywall. I found another plumber that would have charged less than $600. But, it was too late to dispute the work, because it was done.

Needed an old toilet removed and a new one installed. Called and had an appointment scheduled extremely fast. They gave me a 2 hour window and even asked if they could come earlier as the technician was available. Right on time (received a text). The technician (Rashard) was very friendly and knowledgeable. Gave me a quick quote and knocked the price down after I found a coupon online. I had already bought a toilet (Lowe's) and Rashard swapped out a few of the Kohler components with better quality ones he had in his truck for no charge. All in all a good professional experience.

I forwarded the project information to Ms. Swanson as requested. It's been over two months and I haven't received any update on the situation so I guess Roto Rooter is going to stick me with the out-of-pocket expense. Roto-Rooter tries to over bill my insurance company - then when the insurance company denies their number, they force the customer to pay.

Called roto rooter for a water line inspection. They said someone would come out between 2-6pm. They did not come out and said they called me and left a message which was untrue as I was closely motoring the phone. Christina from Roto-Rooter then called back in the morning and said they can't help and canceled the appointment. I then insisted they come out as they promised and said they would now charge a $99 fee. I asked if they wern't able to help why waste all this time after two people said ""that should be no problem"". Terrible service, caught in multiple lies and overall highly recommend not calling them.

Called roto rooter for a backed up septic in poulsbo at 6 pm said someone would be out by 8 pm.
At 8 pm they called said sorry no one is going to show up. So i now have no toilets etc for the night.
If i had known that roter rooter was NOT 24 hour emergency service like they state i would have used someone else to begin witrh. Too late now for another plumber.

They coiuld have gotten a plumber from silverdale, tacome, seattle etc but no , apparently 8 pm is when we call it a night for the poulsbo office.

This review is in regards to the Washington state area, had a plumbing emergency around 1:45pm, service dispatcher says 2hr window, 2hrs later, another 2hr window, 2hrs later dispatcher says ""Supervisor said we can't service you today but the next day from 10am-12pm. Asked why do they put 24/7 service and then say they cannot? The 4hrs I waited I could have found another company, they wasted my time and do not value or accommodate what they preach..... 24/7 Emergency service WHEN CONVENIENT for them, I went with Collin's Plumbing and have service and plumbing fixed in 1.5hrs, faster than the wait time I had with Roto-Rooters.... Absolute trash company in WASHINGTON STATE, I'm sure they are better else where in the US

My tech Gio was a kind, skilled technician. Unfortunately RotoRooter charges 2-3 times more than anyone else I eventually worked with. For example, Gio quoted me $850.00 per hour with a 2-hour minimum (almost $1900.00) for a routine jetting of my sewer line. After the unsuccessful jetting, RotoRooter bid $11,300.00 to ""spot repair"" a 5' section of broken pipe!! For comparison, my second bid was for a larger section at just $5,300. A SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLAR DIFFERENCE?! Something is wrong when technicians have authority to negotiate pricing on the spot, taking advantage of people who are generally in a dire need at the time. This is not only wrong but immoral. Do NOT call Roto Rooter until you've exhausted all other options. RayMark is one of those positive options.
