Reached out to get an estimate for the replacement of our aging water heater. That night, we received both a quote and an appointment time. The quote was hundreds less than the other 3 companies we had reached out to. In fact, Bob's Heating and Air conditioning quoted us over $1000.00 more than Roto-Rooter. Additionally, the other companies that we took quotes from were scheduled out for weeks, stating that the 'heat-wave' we were experiencing was consuming their labor capacity.

We had the good fortune of a technician named Ping, who we highly recommend, install our new water heater. Ping was on time, friendly, and dedicated to ensuring his work was of utmost quality. When he ran into problems with how the plumbing was done, he took it upon himself to fix it all, AT NO CHARGE. He stated that he is a man of his word and would not charge us for work that we didn't know we needed to be done for our updated water heater. This is unlike so many other people, and companies in today's world. We were expecting a surprise charge of hundreds of dollars for the extra work. Ping wouldn't do it!

We highly recommend Ping, and roto-rooter, for any and all of your plumbing needs!

The work done was smooth and professional. The installer, Sergei, was friendly. He was not, however, honest about the job quote. $399 to fix the toilet or $349 to replace, and the second would be 20% off the cost of the first. Harsh prices and being caught in a bind just adds to the realization of being stuck between a rock and a hard place. Fine... I need my toilets done because my family needs working toilets. I am thinking that I can hard swallow $800 - 850 for the job. Then he writes up the bill, and there is not only the $349 for the first toilet, $280 PLUS $750 for labor to make the total bill twice the shown expectation. My bad for not double checking on ""out the door"" final cost, but your bad for covering the real cost to someone stuck with no real good options. I am left with good toilets that work well and the lingering, sick feeling that I have just been conned out of money that isn't exactly readily available to spend. I appreciate the work done, but your prices and policy of non disclosure of the final cost is humiliating.

Attempting to use Roto Rooter services has been the worst experience ever. They made 3 different appointments to come out, giving themselves a four (4) hour window in which to arrive. They were at least 2 hours late for every appointment. The last 2 times they didn't bring the equipment necessary to do the job even though they knew what the job would entail. We only needed a hot water pipe leak repaired. The home is on a concrete slab so we had to pay a leak detecting specialist to locate the leak. Roto Rooter came out, looked at the floor and said it would cost over $8000.00 to repair the leak without even seeing the actual leak. It took 2 weeks from start to finish, with me waiting around for over 18 hours for them to show up, just to be completely unprepared to do the job. I would never EVER recommend Roto Rooter to anyone I liked. If I could I'd send them a bill for all of the time I had to take off from work waiting for them to do NOTHING.

First time to use Roto-Rooter and it was a great experience. Had a screw head brake from one of the bathtub faucets and needed it replaced. The technician from Roto-Rooter provided me with several options before deciding on replacing all three faucet steams as they were all old. The technician took about 30 minutes to replace all three faucet steams. In and out. I will definitely call Roto-Rooter again for any of my plumbing needs.

Giovanni was awesome! He arrived quickly, accessed the plumbing locations and worked around all of the hurdles to our clean out. He asked if I'd like the pipe scoped with video. I usually don't sign up for more but this time something in Gio's tone told me I better. So I did.

Gio discovered a rebar pipe that another contract drove thru our sewer a couple weeks prior. He saved me a nightmare of running around dealing with clogged sewers for the second time. The property is a duplex where I live in one and rent the other. Happy renters happy life.

Thanks Gio and RotoRooter for the professional and quality service.

If there can be a rating for Zero star, I would give them that. I had a leaked toilet and a shower drain back up at the same time. They came and snaked clean out the pipe by opening a hole in the wall to access the pipe instead of removing the toilet to do so. I asked them why and they said once the pipe is cleaned out it will be all good. They proceeded to do the work and charged me $800 for it. The toilet continues to leak after they left and I had to call another company to fix it. It turns out the toilet flange was broken and needs replacement and the section of the pipe between the toilet and where they cleaned out needs to be cleaned out so major $$ to bring in equipment etc. Not only was the work done wrong, the attitude of the employees were not professional. Don't ever hire Roto-Rooter. The other company I got to fix the whole thing was Beacon Plumbing and they did a terrific job. They were very professional: explained the whole problem, what needs to be done, why and cost and had my agreement before they proceed. They even alerted me to print out the coupons from the website to get me a better pricing. They rock. If you have drainage problems, call Beacon Plumbing. Also, they found out the branch pipe from the house to the street sewer cracked in a number of places and needed replacement. (which means the original clean out done by Roto-Rooter didn't have to be done had they diagnosed the problem before doing the clean out). Beacon Plumbing did the whole job including getting city permit and inspection etc all within a couple of days. Terrific guys. The plumber who helped me is Diontae and his apprentice Sam. Very professional, efficient and had my best interest at heart!

Tree roots are crappy things to have in a drain. They're even worse when you have a 14 year old son, but I really don't want to try and explain that. No other plumber I called could come for at least two days. I called Roto Rooter and they sent Kenny the same day. He came on time, was funny, and he made things work quickly. I thought the cost a bit high, but I do not know if others would have been less, and, ultimately, that they could fix matters that day was well worth the cost.

Available for next day service. Easy to book on-line. Prompt email confirmation with phone alert that they were coming. Professional, courteous. Worked hard to keep us informed about what problems they found and next steps. High-tech equipment enabled them to pinpoint where and how deep the problem is. Helped us schedule the 2nd guy who had needed equipment to finish the job. He was great too. (We needed drain cleaning, camera to figure out what was the problem + foreign object and rootball removal using high power water equipment.) Stuck with their original fixed price quotes (Seattle mark-up non-withstanding). The phone scheduler said they do not charge more for weekends. Answered our questions thoroughly and gave us realistic assessment of the situation and future problems to watch out for.

It was late Wednesday 2pm-3pm in the afternoon, a copper pipe in the attic decided to rupture and constantly running water down below, creating a mess throughout. Frustrated and in a urgent need of a plumber, I called 4-5 local plumbing companies, one after another, I could not find someone to come save me in this catastrophe. Some of them said that they are all booked up for the day or they insisted that they can only send someone after 5pm and will charge after hour rates. Since this was a emergency, I quickly agreed and booked two(2) local plumbing companies to come out. I figured that since I already have people coming out 3-4 hours later to help me in my emergency, I dialed Roto-Rooter around late 3-4pm and I you can tell the difference in how they treat customers. The phone representative did not tell me that all their plumbers are booked up or insisted that I can only get a plumbed after hours. But instead, they said that will send someone soon as they can. Right after that moment, I thought that Roto-Rooter would do the same and arrive after hours and I would be stuck waiting for them to arrive.

To my surprise, Jim H. from Roto-Rooter arrived less than 1 hour! At 4pm, he went inside and climbed up in a ladder and took a look inside of the attic quickly found the leak and fixed the issue before 5pm on a workday!

Thank you R-R for saving my time and money. I just hope that the other plumbing companies are more honest and reliable. I will be sure be calling Roto-Rooter first next time for my plumbing needs.

Roto-Rooter responded to my call with an immediate 2-hour window and managed to be there within an hour. The technician was friendly and professional. While my problem (the clog) was quickly fixed, we ran into a literal snag when the cable wouldn't retract properly out of my pipes. A potentially nightmarish situation was handled methodically, step by step, and resolved as quickly as possible with high-tech equipment. Part of my problem involved my septic tank and the technicians (2 at this point) were very knowledgeable about issues surrounding those and willing and able to offer advice. And, as a bonus, my garbage disposal was quickly unclogged too!
This was a stressful and unusual situation and I came away quite impressed by the technicians' professionalism.
Can't say it was cheap (no extra cost was incurred for the complication, however), but I believe the pricing is comparable to other companies.
