Our main drain was closed completely and needed plumbers to help. Cliff, Logan, and Christian came out from Roto-Rooter and did a fantastic job! They were very efficient, friendly, kept us informed, and answered any questions we had. I very highly recommend this crew and company and if I need them in the future, they'll be our go to company! Called yesterday about noon for a technician to come out and give me an estimate then potentially fix a plugged outside drain in the driveway. Was told that they had availability between 5 and 5:30pm. I said ok. They called around 2:30pm to confirm the appointment. At 7:30pm, after no call from RR, I called and they informed they were running late and would be there within an hour to a hour and a half. Heard nothing until 11:00pm when they left a message ( I had gone to bed) saying they could still come out if I wanted.
NO THANKS. This company has a long way to go on providing decent customer service and public relations. Horrible experience.

I made an appointment for the next day, with a two hour window, on Sunday night. By Monday morning it was extended an additional two hours. At 1:30 it was extended an additional two hours. When the technician finally arrived he was required to perform, and most importantly charge, for more work than was required. I sent him away and did a Google search like I should have done in the first place.

I've mainly used this company for repairs at a commercial building. I've always been happy with the quality of their work. They usually come quickly which is especially important at a business. Their 24-hour service is only for clogged drains. After regular closing time, only drain technicians are available and they cannot diagnose or fix most plumbing issues. They will not give estimates for work without first sending a plumber to look at the situation. I have no problem with them charging for this (I think it was $89), but it doesn't take an expert to know that a leaking pipe needs to be replaced. That was something that wasn't explained to me on the phone, so they ended up coming out for nothing.
I will continue using this company when I need someone fast. However, they are not my first choice. They charge some of the highest rates. So if you need something taken care of right away, they are a good choice. But be warned, you will pay a lot for the service.

Fast response, cordial and courteous, same-day service for my fairly minor drain clog issue. Could not have been more pleased with the services and very modest price. Was blown off by a number of other local plumbing services, some of whom were intent on charging a fee for a damn estimate of over $130.00 AND could not get to my house to actually do the estimate for over TWO WEEKS! If you have clogging issues, save yourself some TIME and MONEY and check them out. Highly recommended!

Probably the most unreliable service I have ever experienced in company dealing with home repair needs. Scheduled service was a no show on Weds., the following day, Thurs, plumber tech shows up in late afternoon and does not have parts for toilet repair and communicates they would reschedule to come back. Did not hear from company with reschedule time until I called the next morning, Friday, and was I was scheduled to be coming in less than hour with no advance notice. I then made sure I was available and found out service appmt was moved to 4-6 pm today. I followed up to see whereabouts only to find out they were calling me to reschedule for the following week after sitting around all day waiting again.
Do not use this company unless you wanted to have a high chance of minimal to no communication. Company is not customer service oriented.

dont get back to you , you need to run after them for weeks , dont give respect to customers , the love to charge you but then disappear.

Details : Called on the 08/13 and ask then to come , schedule for 08/14 - came and charge you 250$ , the said it is stuck and need to come tomorrow with camera to find the problem - the never came.

on the 08/15 called to ask when the will come - the said - sorry we forgot you - we can come only on the 08/17, came on the 08/17 but said the camera show it is stuck and need to be fix , will provide us with estimate - the never did.

on the 08/27 called to ask what about the estimate - the said the dont know but the will call me soon with the estimate.

on the 08/28 - called again to see why the didnt call - the answer was - someone will call you but dont know when.

Poor customer service - need to run after them for weeks to give me an estimate after the all ready charge me 250$

Update - 08/29 - nobody is calling us , as i said expert in ignoring customers.
Update - 08/30 - nobody is calling us - ignoring us after promising 3 times to send estimate for work.

11/08/2018 Last update - it took me time but i was able to find another vendor to do the work , even that Roto-Rooter prommise me that the fix will cost around 2000$ i never got any offer, the second vendor came to my house, fix the problem in 10 minutes and charge me 150$

Wow - didnt knew how much Roto-Rooter is bad , the will try to scam you, dont go to this path , dont allow then to charge you money before work , the are expert on pulling customer to pay more and more.

I was so lucky to have Josh from Roto Rooter Portland come to my house Saturday morning when my garbage disposal exploded under the sink on Friday night. He found the problem and fixed it, and helped with routine maintenance on the disposal. He was extremely knowledgeable and nice, and he went above and beyond to ensure the issue was fixed right. The price I paid was also very reasonable for the amount of service Josh did. Thank you Josh!!

This was the most inconsiderate group of people I have ever met. First of all we have an emergency with our water flowing down the street. At the time no one was at home so a neighbor contacted us and the city to turn our water off. At this time I looked up 24 hour plumbers and called this company. A young girl answered and told me they would be at my house in 2-3 hours. For an emergency on a Friday I felt that was ok. This was at 5:30 pm, at 10:30 my wife called and they told us they had no intentions on sending one out that night,and the girl should never have told us that. This young man proceeded to tell me someone had to look at it first and that wouldn't happen till Monday. Mind you we have no water and a family get together sat at 4:00 pm.
We got on the computer and found a company named roto rescue,they showed us two hours early and after $1500 of work, including find illegal pvc pipe being used, a valve not on the hot water heater we had installed two years ago, this guy was a gentleman and very competent worker.

Very professional. Logan completed a slow shower drain in 30 minutes. The cost of having someone in your house with long hair going down the drain that you can't clear on your own is $240. They provide this info at time of arrival as their base service call. I understand the overhead and lack of predictability. I just wish I knew ahead to see if that is competitive. Therefore, I may change the drain cover and get my own snake to keep it clear regularly. I would still use them in future. The known is better than the unknown.
