Lost the log for my emergency call and then when I asked to file a complaint and was told I'd get a call the next day, received no call. Advertising as 24/7 but only responds to phone after hours without callout plumber.

I called RR to come fix a broken pipe that froze during our recent ice/snow storm. I called several time before someone finally returned my call.
I made a scheduled appointment for them to come out and repair the pipe. I explained my house has no water due to this and it was a bit of a urgent need to get it fixed. I waited a few days for the date of the appointment. I was told they would be coming between 8am- 4pm.. did they come? No. I called their office and was told they were too busy to come out. They would come out the next day. Again, they did not come out. I called them for a third time and expressed that this was something that urgently needed to be repaired, again they promised they would be out the next day.
Well, after 3 failed appointments I called another company and they came out the very next morning and had the pipe fixed in 20 minutes for cheaper than what this place was charging.
Anyway, Don't hire this place. They don't care about their work or their customers.

Despicable service. Overcharged from quote. Had to have them back to fix thier own problems. Slob, left my sink and surrounding area a total mess with black gunk and slime everywhere. Did zero clean up after faulty repair. A nightmare!!! Never again.

call center and technician are very professional. pricy but good result. Roto-rooter is definitely place to go, dont waste your time on others.

Jan 1st Traveling I-5 North at 2:08pm a rooter truck with trailer was driving wreckleslt endangering other drivers on the road by causing a semi truck had to slam breaks on brakes. Driver was feeding his face slouching in his seat

If I could give them 0 stars I would! this is my basement full of waste water after my kitchen sink was clogged so they came out to snake it. The pipe bursted down in the basement and left tons of waste water everywhere. they said they would take care of the matter, and then flipped that answer to now it's my fault! I still have no paperwork in hand and have talked to numerous people to be then told I would get a call back in a few days! WORST experience ever! also their water mitigation team came out and tried to tell us it would be $13-18,000 for mitigation, that seemed high so we reached out to another reputable company and it was $3,500... we will never use them again, not a reputable company!

A clog in the main drainage line from our kitchen sink caused a flood when I took a shower upstairs this morning. The kitchen sink overflowed onto the counters and floor. Roto-Rooter was the only company I called who could help us today, and the technician (Sam) arrived within a couple of hours. He was very professional and courteous, and he resolved the problem completely in about an hour. The cost was on the high side but the job was done quickly and properly and includes a six month warranty. I would definitely recommend this company based on our experience.

My Egress window well flooded, I spent over an hour bailing water until it was empty. The young man came out spent 2.5 hours messing with it, filling the well with water. The water was back where it started, ready to flood the basement again. He said he cant fix it. He didn't have the right tools to drain the water. I pressed him on it and basically said its not his job. He charged $500 to make the problem worse. Shame on you ROTO ROOTER. Solution: Provide proper tools or train your emplyees better. Lower your prices when you fail to fix something and make it worse!

I had rotorooter come out to look at a plumbing issue. The gentlemen who came over were very nice. They told me rotorooter was competitive in their pricing. They fully took advantage of the situation. They were here for barely over an hour. They left a mess, including their spare piping all over the garage. They didn't even have the courtesy to replace the insulation or even replace the duct tape to hold the insulation together which they cut through. I was told by a few other companies I was fully taken advantage of. I complained on the website and someone told me they would have the manager get in touch with me. He did, however he was rude and had no knowledge of the work that had been done. I gave him the invoice number and continuously told him what was done and exactly what had been written on my invoice. He kept saying they did work outside or to the garbage disposal and other things which had NEVER been done. I was charged $1140 to fix a hose bib and a toilet shut off valve. After speaking to the manager he told me they would credit me $75.00 and that was over a month ago... still no action has been taken on their part. He also didn't have much to say about the pricing that shouldn't have been charged for the extrememly minimal amount of work they did. I would advise anyone and everyone to STAY away from this company. They leave a mess, overcharge, and don't hold themselves accountable. Their also uncertain of their warranty, the manager told me two years however the employees and my paperwork state one year.

Looks like I'm not alone with this review - had a single drain backed up in the laundry room and looked online to see lots of $60-$90 estimates for drain cleaning. I scheduled online with Roto-Rooter presuming their prices would be in the neighborhood. Definitely they get props for easy scheduling and prompt arrival. However, the fellow looked at my issue, said, ""that doesn't look too complicated"", and then quoted me $500. I declined the service, scheduled with the competition and got it done for: yes indeed, $83, with a 90-day warrantee. If you enjoy flushing your money down the tube that I am sure Roto-Rooter would be able to clean out for you, schedule with their service. Otherwise, I suggest the competition, and keep the nearly 700% markup in your pocket.
