We called Roto Rooter because our kitchen drain was clogged. We were given a window of between 3:30 and 5:30 same day service which was great, and the plumber arrived promptly and was very professional.

The plumber did a fantastic job and it turned out to be a very bad clog.It took him a long time to get all of the sludge out of our pipes, but worked until the job was done and the drain was good as new. We ended up with several buckets full of sludge from the drain, so this was not your average clog. It was worse than average.

I would give roto-rooter 5 stars, but the price is a little steep. It cost $475 Keeping in mind that we got same-day emergency service and the drain took several hours to clear, this certainly isn't as steep as it sounds, but it is steep enough to put roto-rooter on our list of places to use only in an emergency.

This is an update of the situation, after I left the original review on yelp the plumbing manager Don from Roto rooter reached out to me and called the next day, I appreciated that he understood my frustration and talked to me for about 30min on the phone, and eventually he offered to take off $100 off of the total charge. I appreciate that the management cared enough about my experience to reach out to me on their own, I'm changing the review from 1 star to four star.

All the snow plowing fees I have been paying has really put a damper on my monthly expenses. I was hesitant at first to pay the $375 fee for what I thought was just to snake my main drain. It turns out I had roots in my pipes and Damian was there for 2 hours to get them to ""pristine"" condition (his words). Well worth it and I will use them again. Good reliable plumbing technicians are a small breed and you just need to chalk it up if you are going to be a homeowner.

They were able to clear the clog in the kitchen sink but way way over priced. He was there for an hour and charged $400. What a waste of money. Buy your own snake and do it yourself.

the only reason i didnt do 5 stars is because I have nothing to compare the price to and it did seem like a lot but was definitely worth it. We had tried to snake the sink ourselves, but did not have any luck.

The plumber arrived at our house on time and was very professional. He was efficient and took care of the clog in our kitchen sink quickly. It was relatively late for a week night, so we appreciated the promptness. I called Roto-Rooter in the afternoon and they were there that night to fix the problem. I would definitely recommend them.

We've snaked, used enzymes and liquid plumber but we have continued to have slow drains in our bathroom. Damian came in, surveyed the pipes and identified the problem immediately. No way could we have fixed it ourselves. He replaced a 1-2"" length of pipe and fittings in about an hour. The catch was clogged with 60 years of grime, gook and hair. I work from home and he was very respectful of my time (arrived right when he said he would). Great guy. Great Job. Would definitely call again if I needed to, Yes, a bit pricey but the job was done well. One less think I have to worry about!

As having no previous experience in dealing with plumbers, I don't have much to compare our experience to. However in living in a 6 unit townhouse building and having all units water draining into my basement on a 3 day long weekend, we were desperate. We were given a window of 8a-10a and they arrived at 945a. The technician was great explaining what he thought the problem was and getting right to work. He made good use of time, cleaned up after himself and communicated through his entire time here. He sympathized with our situation and didn't pressure us to get more work done than what we needed. I called Sunday night for a sewer backup because they are open 24hrs 7 days a week, nobody could come until the following morning this was a bit of an inconvenience but I scheduled an appointment anyway. The plumber arrived on time and was very nice everything was going smooth until I got the price, $400 to run the snake down the drain to unplug it! The plumber was not here for more than 45 minutes he got my pipes working again but the price just seemed way to high for 45 minutes worth of work. Overall they did what they were hired to do and I got a 6 month guarantee on the work performed

Let me say the only reason i did not give them 4 stars is because of the slow communication, someone from the office would call to say the tech was on the way should be there in 45 min and he showed up about an 2 hours later...but it was a free estimate... I had a clogged main line to the sewer...eee gads! $700 aprox...The tech said someone would call us in the Morning..Morning comes and no call.. we called about `11:15 am ok so that is worth a star....

Our tech shows up looking neat, well spoken and knowlegdable. Brian M was here for a few hours, he was great! My clog is gone! Water flowing the way it was meant to! And my final bill was $466. not $700!

Yea! Nice Job Roto Rooter....away went my troubles down the drain...

And if I was rating Brian M I'd give him 5 stars! tech 756!

Now I am going to take a long hot shower!
