Jocelyn G.Jean was my service technician and he was great! Jean was very knowledgeable and fixed our plumbing problems fast. He explained everything in detail and was very personable. I will recommend Jean to anyone who needs a plumber.
Our experience with Roto-Rooter was ok. They were responsive and sent a technician out the same day who stayed late to try and fix the problem. They were not able to fix the problem and did not charge a dime. They sent a more specialized technician out the next day who was also very friendly and professional, also stayed until 8 PM trying to solve the problem, also couldn't solve the problem, also didn't charge anything. My issue is that when they figured out the problem their quote was ridiculous, 50% - 100% more than 3 other quotes we got. I learned that each technician works on commission. Prices are VERY high.
R N.Call Roto-Router that's the name and away goes your money down the drain! They should be called Roto-Rippoff. Called them to get a quote on replacing a shower head and faucet that I already purchased. They refused to give a quote over the phone but said someone would come out free of charge. One hour before they were supposed to arrive they called and said they couldn't make it, and I had taken off work!!!! Came in the next day and said the job would cost $900!!!! WTF are they kidding?! I then got an explanation that you can buy a basket at Walmart but if you buy it somewhere else it's going to cost more. Sent this clown on his way. Called Same Day Drain Cleaning and Plumbing and got a reasonable quote over the phone, they were in at 7 a.m. the next morning and did a great job at a great price. They did the shower, plus a tube faucet install, plus fixing a leak on the tub for a fraction of what Roto-Ripoff quoted just for the shower. STAY AWAY FROM ROTO-RIPOFF!
I called a couple of plumbing companies before calling Roto-Rooter. I choose Roto-Rooter because the person that answered the phone was so pleasant, and was able to accommodate me by sending a tech out on the same day. The regular plumbers didn't seemed interested in me or my problem which was a clogged shower drain.
I received a call 30 minutes prior to the tech arriving even with out making that request. When Tim showed up (on time) he was very pleasant and knowledgeable. he assessed the problem, and quickly got to work, and even cleaned up as if he was never here.
When he finished the paperwork he spent time explaining what caused the clog, and recommended a professional ""pipe shield"" solution which i purchased. He also explained all the other services you provide which i had no idea.
The kicker to the whole job was he said Roto-Rooter will stand behind the clog and warranty that shower drain for six months. I know the regular plumbers won't do that.
Because of the way your office personnel and your tech Tim handled my situation Roto-Rooter has been saved in my phone, and will be the only plumbing service I call and recommend to my friends and colleagues.
Your employees are what makes a company great, and with the people i dealt with that is very evident that they are happy, and really care about providing excellent customer service!
Brad D.Had a sewer line backup. They technician came within one hour of the call, was incredibly knowledgeable and nice. Problem fixed in two hours!
I am rather upset with Roto-Rooter as I have contacted them 3 times to get a receipt for my bill, which I have already paid with a credit card over the phone and I have gotten nowhere. I find it really irritating that I cannot call the local number or tech, it's always a national line who can't do much other than schedule appointments. So it's been 3 weeks and I cannot even get a receipt, which I need for tax reasons as it's an investment property.
The service was also fairly mediocre. It was for a house I own in Durham, they called and couldn't find the house because they were in Chapel Hill, my billing address in Chapel Hill but I specified Durham as the service address. But they eventually showed up and seem to have fixed the problem - no more complaints from the tenant. It was pretty expensive for a simple draining cleaning - $350.
All in all, next time, I'll call someone else.
Michael B.I called for a sewer clog on a Sunday. These guys got me in that day and stayed until the problem was fixed. The service guy Tim did a phenomenal job and work was done as said at price quoted. Follow up was also done. Great job.
J.S. G.I had customer service check in with me and asked for my information so someone could contact me about my complaint. Sure enough the gentleman called some hours later and ask why I left the review that I did. I did let him know exactly why that I didn't understand why I was going to be charged $1,000 after paying $1,300 some months earlier. He said well we perhaps could have helped you to get some money back, and I told him I asked the person that was installing the water heater what I could do to try to get a refund in this situation as I felt it extremely unfair to have to pay this again. The service guy told me, and I quote""Good luck with that"". I will share with you what I told the gentleman who called me asking me to delete or change my review of their business ""Good luck with that""!
Wayne, tech 3112, came out multiple times to our house after we moved in and I couldn't have been more pleased. He was quick, efficient and explained everything that needed to be done along the way. I will absolutely be requesting him as my tech of choice for any plumbing issues that come up in the future. I highly recommend him to anyone in the Apex/Cary area, you will not be disappointed.
