My water bill was double what it was last year. I called Roto-Rooter and made an appointment, thinking I had a water leak and huge excavation coming. Phil showed up at the appointed time and within 5 minutes had found the problem. I had not turned the sprinkler, water valve all the way on and it was leaking. Phil showed me the meter and took time to explain it. I appreciated? Phil's knowledge and professionalism.

I had an appointment set for 5:30-7:30pm. (Note, if they were to come later they would charge a $50 evening fee.) They let me know he'd be late and he came at 8:30pm without apology. For a clogged bathtub quoted $240, two drains to clean out (slow flowing) $110 each. Due to cost and need, I only said OK to the bathtub snaking and asked if it could be less as $240 seemed high. He lowered it to $200. And he did the job in less than 15 min. I called the manager a few days later to see if there was any way that cost could be lowered given the fact the job took very little time. After keeping me on the phone for a while explaining their rates, he did not give any discount and just wasted my time. I will not use them again.

We recently had a sewer line collapse. It was a long distance from the home. Roto rooter tried to clear the line and was able to get the line draining but found with their camera the line was broken and needed to be dug up and repaired.
The break was nearly 100 ft out and 13 ft down. They got all the necessary permits and were very professional. The break was repaired with a tie in and the old existing line was lined and given a 50 year guarantee.
This was an expensive fix but they did everything to minimize cost but never compromised safety or the integrity toward the job. I highly recommend roto rooter and give kudos to their technician Phil.

""Call RotoRooter that's the name...and away goes your money down the drain"". I had RotoRooter come out and clean out (snake) my sewer line 6 months ago. The plumber seemed put out to have showed up, and and didn't want to take the cleanout snake into the basement where the sewer clean out is ""because it was too heavy to move"". Ran the clean out snake from the landing down the length of my staircase thus splashing sewage all over my walls and stairs. I have had the line cleaned of roots every 2-3 years for the last 25 years that I have lived in this house as a precaution to avoid backups. Had a ""Reliable"" plumber come out and redo the cleanout that RotoRooter did a mere 6 months ago. He ran the snake for about 40 minutes and pulled out what looked like a 10 foot Anaconda of tree roots from the line. Clearly the line had not had a clean out snake down it for several years. All the plumber Ed from RotorRooter did was go downstairs and make some noise for 15 minutes and then charge me $200 (made me a deal cause I am a disabled veteran). Do yourself a favor and do not call these guys. Call a real plumbing service.

Roto-Rooter SLC dispatchers and technicians are fantastic. The dispatchers kept me posted on their ETA (I think I sounded very weepy when I called), and their technicians (Justin, Mark, Phil, & Tyler) worked tirelessly to find and fix the problem. Even given the overtime hours these emergency guys work, all of them were helpful and reassuring. I am a new homeowner, and while I hope to never see them again anytime soon, this company and their guys are worth every penny! Thanks again *;-)

Wow, what can I say about Roto Rooter. They were the first recommendation I got from my realtor for a sewer scope on a house I'm buying. The gemeral manager doesn't return voicemails and only answers the phone about half the time. Their office is disorganized. They were over an hour late to our appointment. I would not recommend them.

My friend was quoted almost $7,000 by roto rooter to come in and fix a pipe for her bathroom sink. She decided to ask for another opinion and got somebody to fix it for $500.. never having these people do any work on my house.

Really helpful! Our kitchen sink was draining slow so I called Action Plumbing. The guy came in and said that this particular drain wouldn't snake so he would have to do an $800 dollar process and then tried to sell us a water heater plus filter system for $6,000! He made it seem like it was super urgent. My wife didn't trust the guy so we called Roto-Rooter. A guy named Ed came in and snaked the drain for $200 and it worked just fine, he also gave us multiple options for a water heater/filter system that were thousands less. And made it seem like it was not urgent but that we should save for it in the coming year. I appreciate Ed not trying to up-sell us on things and being honest and giving us different options. He deserves a big bonus! We have an old house and will have problems to come i'm sure. Roto-Rooter will be the first place we call.

Awesome service! Price to unclog a kitchen sink that's clogged 75ft away from the drain is $195. Justin was very professional and fun to chat with while his snake was turning. They offer a 120 day guarantee that leaves me satisfied and smiling. After 3 days of clogged sinks and smelling sewerage, justin saved the day! This is all after I hired some other company who lost their bit while trying to unclog the drain. They come to your house and give you a quote free of charge so it doesn't hurt things and best of all, when I called on a Saturday, they had a recognition at my door 3 hours later after I called two or three other places first to be left with voicemail greetings. Probably a good reason they're the nations best brand of plumbers. Thanks guys!
