We were out of town when my husband and I got a call that our water was not working. Once we got home and assessed the situation, we realized our water softener had failed and our pipes were clogged. We put out a call to Roto-Rooter and they came out the next morning.

Ashley was the salesperson we worked with. She sat with us and gave a thorough explanation of the water softener system, warranty information and what the company could offer us. We decided on their system and a call was put out to Brian.

The system we needed was not available in house, so Brian went out of his way to the warehouse to get the one we needed. Once he got here, not only was he kind but worked tirelessly. I was suffering from a migraine with the stress of it all and he was kind of enough to gently close the door behind him whenever he had to come in the room- it was a kind gesture that was greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, the pipes were worse off than we thought, which meant he would have to get creative in order to clear them out. He ended up having to come back out twice (at no fault of his) and did so with professionalism, good energy and worked hard to get our home up and running. He even asked me if I was feeling better.

Roto-Rooter has gained a long time customer in us due to this positive experience. We appreciate Brian- and he's been here so many days that he's now extended family.

More like Roto-Rip-off!
I am a new home owner. I had a clog in the master bathroom between the shower and tub. The only plumber I could think of was Roto-Rip-Off. I called on Friday afternoon around 2:00pm. He showed up at 4:00. I showed him where it was clogged and asked how much to fix it. He said $485. I said WOW why so much? He said he would have to remove the clog, then cutting and scraping the pipe, it could take a couple hours. So I agreed. I helped him carry the snake machine upstairs. He got started. He inserted the snake and pulled out the clog in two minutes. The tub and shower drained immediately. He put the snake away and said that was it. Again I said WOW that was fast and easy. He carried the snake to his van and returned. I said that was easy. So how much was that? He said $485. That was what I quoted you. I said you have only been here for 15 minutes. He said Yes but the price I quoted was $485. So I paid it. (I should have just refused to pay)
I called the office and explain to the manager what had happened and asked if that was the correct price. The manage to me Yes that was the correct price.
Later I found out there are several plumbers that would have charged as little as $80 to remove a clog.
Never use Roto-Rip-Off.
BTW I will continue to post this on ever site I can. Especially all the Alamo Ranch Facebook pages.
People need to know about Roto-Rip-Off before it is too late.

Scheduled online with details of my issue and secured an appointment for next morning, 10am-12pm. I called at 10:30am to follow up and was reassured my appointment was scheduled and that I would receive a call prior to arrival time. 12:30pm still no tech and no call so I call to follow up and am assured that they were waiting for a plumber to finish a job then be dispatched to me. 2:46pm still no tech or calls so I called again. This time I'm told that what I needed was an electrician so they can't help me. I asked why I had not received and notification when I called any of the times before. Vanessa, the dispatch manager proceeded to tell me that someone tried calling me multiple times but that I did not answer. I have no missed calls or voicemail.
My first service experience with this company a few years ago was good. My second service call was also a let down but I hoped this time would be different but no, another let down. Never again.

We had some plumbing backup issues and reached out to about 5 businesses within the hour. Roto-Rooter arrived at the door in about 30 minutes and Brian got to work. He was very friendly and informed me of the issue and how he was going to handle it. Julio arrived a little later and the two were able to fix the problem at the source. They also discussed another issue that was discovered and told me different solution options to help save me money. Overall the experience was great and they took care of our emergency very professionally. We would definitely recommend this business because of these two awesome people. Thanks again!

The work they did was fine. But customer service was awful. Corporate has no connection to the local guys. Poor customer service.

Out of town visiting family's house and Called them around 5:00 they said they can be at the house within 1hr..... 3 hrs later they called and said we were next after another customer.....1.5 hr later they called and said we will be there in 20 minutes, it's now 9:55pm and the tech shows up, can't be mad at the tech he didn't promise to be at the house with in an hr. The tech was nice and professional, just wish the dispatcher would of just said "we're gonna be there around 6 hrs later than promised " do you how aggravating it is to have kids who need to go but you keep on telling just a little bit more and they'll be here.... to hurry up kids! let's all load up to go friends how to use there bathroom. The tech deserved the 5 stars but the dispatcher took 3 stars away.
