Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

This was the 3rd and last time I call Roto Rooter - I had called last week about a dripping sound in my wall / ceiling. I was given a time frame and confirmed the time frame. I was called about halfway through the time saying they were running behind and hoped to be there soon. Then was called again at the end of the window and told it would be even later, and when I said I had other commitments they offered me the next morning between 8 and 10. I agreed, but then they called at 7:30 the next morning, with an unknown number so I didn't answer, they left no message, and I was left wondering what had happened. When I called they said that since I hadn't answered they sent the technician elsewhere. They said it might be possible to get someone out sometime today, but I could reschedule again if I wanted. At that point I just cancelled it.

Last night, the dripping sound got worse, and then my ceiling opened up. So I scheduled someone who could come in 2 days. But when water is dripping from the ceiling, sooner is better. So I contacted Roto Rooter who said they could come out today and confirmed it. I even called this morning and said I could do earlier if they had someone, so to please make sure to note that, but I would also be available at my previously confirmed time. It was confirmed AGAIN that they would come. I was called at the beginning of my original window and told the technician was on the way. I was called back around 5 minutes later and told the technician needed to go to the shop to pick up some tools needed for the job and they would call on the way. An hour and a half later, I called to check in because I assumed that it wouldn't take that long to get tools. They said the jobs were taking longer than expected and they were running behind. I was confused because I had been told a technician had been assigned to my job - they just needed tools. I finally was called again at 7 pm (an hour after my window closed and an hour and a half after I had called to get an update) and they said that the jobs were taking longer than expected, and could they reschedule for tomorrow. I have already spent 12+ hours waiting for this company, and they told me they were short staffed and very busy. But if they cannot meet their commitments they should not confirm them. I will never call again and I recommend if you value your time, you also avoid them.
