Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Prices are totally out of control and they do not stand behind their work. Charged $449 (to install new fill valve & flapper, replaced bolts & gaskets and overfill steam) to repair a running toilet (my fault for not checking their prices) Toilet never stopped running and wanted to charges me $284.50 half of their normal rate ($569) to install a new toilet, labor only, with no credit for the $449 already spent to repair the one they couldn't repair. Called another plumber whose labor price to install new toilet and remove the old one was only $250. Cost of new American Standard toilet was $109 at Lowe's. Lowe's offered to install and remove the old one for $249. This Roto-Rooter is a rip-off!

CUSTOMERS BE AWARE, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I had a horrible experience with Roto Rooter and they had numerous opportunities to make things right and just continued to disappoint.

-Called them about a backed up sewer line and asked how much over the phone. Was told the plumber comes out free of charge then gives pricing.
-Plumber comes out (didn't call when he was on the way like I was told he would.) I show him my clean out and he wants $650 to clear the clog.
-After some back and forth they offered to do it for $400. He shoved a hose/jet so far in the line it forced waste up out of my first floor toilet and all over the walls and floor.
-5 minutes after the event I get a call from Roto Rooters cleaning services and they're trying to talk me into contacting my insurance company so they can bill them for the cleanup.
-I refused and waited an hour for a "Field Supervisor" to come to my house to solve the problem as I refused ti sign the paperwork for the plumber at my house whom was extremely rude and unprofessional. I have him on video stating "That's not my shit, it's your shit".
-There was ZERO warning that the sewage could possibly destroy my bathroom as a result of their "industry standard" way of clearing the blockage.
-Supervisor shows up and the line is clearly still blocked,
-They spot a crack in my pipe and tell me they will not honor the warranty if it backs up again and they were on their way. They knocked $100 of the price so I can clean up my own bathroom.
-100% UNACCEPTABLE ROTO ROOTER, I will NEVER use your services again.

Unclogged my moms sink for $269. My mom only had $300 and needed to get groceries with the $31.00 but he didn't have change, my mom offered to go to dollar store, one block away,to make change, and he told her he didn't have time so he kept it. My mom wanted to cry. She's 88 and really needed the $31.00 for food. Aweful

Joseph was beyond what we could have expected. Was very helpful and answered all questions. It wasn't an easy fix and he did all the tricks he knew to get us up and running again. I would give him 10 stars if it would let me. I would recommend your company and more so Joseph for any need I may have in the future.

Had a dripping tub faucet and asked Roto Rooter to come out. They said I needed all new everything and it would be $1,175. I told them to leave. Then I called Lister plumbing in Galveston. They had the part and a new knob, which it needed. They fixed it for $171. Won't be calling the RotoRooter salesmen again.

Starting off with a no show. Company claims to do same day, next day and emergency repairs. I called Sunday afternoon and was told I would get a call back on Monday. Never even heard from them. Finally called on Tuesday and when I asked why I didn't at least get a call telling me they would not be able to come, I was told they were too busy. Apparently they have enough business, would not call them again.

Christian came out first quickly. He tried to locate the clean out connection outside the house but could not. He called Damien so Damien can use his camera to locate the clog and also hopefully the clean out connection. Both men are extremely knowledgeable about their trade. very pleasant to deal with. I have used Rotor Rooter several times and will come back.

The employee that came to my residence was completely unprofessional and aggressive. He stood outside my residence yelling and harassing me, he also used a shovel as an assaultive device..I was afraid for my safety. He behaved like a thug.

Our plumber (Adam) diagnosed our problem was a hard clog that couldn't be broken down. He had to dig up the pipe in order to fix the issue. His excavation guys didn't show up but rather than postpone the work Adam took it upon himself to do all the work himself digging included. It was a hot day but never once did he complain. Adam worked hard the entire time and even though he was by himself he still managed to finish everything at the time he said he would and didn't take any shortcuts in any of his work. That was one of the most honest days work I've ever witnessed. If my opinion as a satisfied customer means anything, Adam deserves a raise or a promotion and because of him I'll gladly use this company again and recommend them to others!
