After having Roto Rooter out at around midnight to snake a toilet when we had almost no damage as far as water intrusion. 3 hours later we have a flooded apartment due to the previous tech not testing the drain to ensure it has been properly cleared. Now we have a flooded apartment and Roto-rooter refuses to come out until mid-morning the next day. I wish I would have read reviews first.

I've been a plumber. I know what the rates should be. These rates are outrageous. The tech was inexperienced. They incorrectly identified the problem. Then a pipe they worked on started to leak a few hours later.

If you're looking for a plumber that has ""almost 2 years"" of experience to come to your house, give you bad information, and break stuff this is your place. I've had the exact same problem at other houses. All resolved for 1/3 to 1/2 of the price. Lesson learned. I'll never call these people again.

We had a seriously backed up drainage problem. Since I am out in the country and on a septic tank all drainage leads to one place. Unfortunately, between that one place and half of my house had a blockage that flooded a bathroom. All water from kitchen, another bathroom, laundry room had pooled on that bathroom floor.

Roto-Rooter claims to be 24-hour service. It answers the phone late, but it does not mean someone will rescue you that night. They did send a technician the next morning and we paid for it - $400. But the line was cleared and then cleaned to ensure it would not back up again.

So, the 24-hour emergency service is not exactly correct. But I had tried contacting other ""24-hour"" places that did not even answer the phone. So, props to the for that at least. But the price?? sheesh!

They were scheduled to come out between 10am and 2pm. Never showed up and I never got a phone call saying they couldn't meet that timeline. Finally heard from the dispatcher at 4:30 that they could not make it and needed to reschedule. However, she could not guarantee that they would make it out the next day because it's Saturday. Gave me a flimsy apology and tons of excuses. I ended up canceling them and having my dad fix the issue which was only a running toilet. I The dispatcher was disorganized, unprofessional, and lacks any customer service etiquette.

We woke up on Sunday morning to an emergency water leak in our kitchen. The island faucet had failed and leaked water all over the countertop and onto the floor. We have used this company before for our bathroom sink and decided to give them a call. The notification was sent to the plumber and he called us back immediately. Larry arrived 3 hours sooner than promised. He came in with all of his tools, inspected the situation, and left to buy us a replacement faucet. Removal of the old faucet cut took about 30 minutes, as most of the hardware below the sink had rusted. He completed the new installation within the hour and even submitted a request to have someone assess for any water damage. Both the replacement faucet and water damage assessment was completed within an hour, and the charge for coming early on a Sunday was very reasonable. They even waived the call-out fee for off hours service call. We highly recommend them and thank them for their prompt services!!!!

I see many 2 STAR ratings for this company but my experience was really very good.
We had a water softener issue and when I called around, most companies only had a voicemail, but Roto-Rooter had a professional staff and over the phone scheduling.

They also offer a ""no fee"" diagnostic process, every other company has in my experience wanted up to $175 just to show up.

Ryan, who was dispatched was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. And he even called to follow up with me a few days after our service.

I had never used Roto-Rooter before but after using them I've referred them to others and will definitely call them the next time I have issues.

Didn't show up. Their scheduling system is a waste of time and means nothing. Blew us off one day, said they'd be out the following day by 12. Didn't happen. Got a call saying they didn't have anyone to come out. When I asked questions the dispatcher was rude and defensive. Our pipes are fully blocked and they show no sense of urgency. I would not recommend them if you have an immediate situation needing attention. If you do schedule time, have a back up. Otherwise you won't be flushing toilets or draining tubs for days.

By the way, the excuse I received was all their plumber were getting Covid shots. I guess it's possible but wouldn't that be on the schedule?
