Matthew Balderas showed up early to come service my water softener. He did an amazing job trouble shooting all of my issues and showed me how to fix this in the future. He coached me through the entire regeneration process. Sincerely Pam Massey

nothing to do with plumbing I had a flat tire and Dustin Gutierrez and Jacob helped me change it because the lug nuts where way too tight. very grateful for the help.

I had a clogged shower/toilet and called Roto Rooter San Antonio on a Saturday evening after having another San Antonio plumber completely fail to show up after waiting 7 hours (you can find that review under my profile). Darrell and Brad arrived within the hour of me calling Roto Rooter which was such a relief. They diagnosed the issue and their quote came in about $200+ less than what the other plumber estimated over the phone. After figuring out what was wrong, which was due to an obstruction in the pipe, they took care of it temporarily and offered other long term solutions. Brad followed up with me afterwards to provide estimates on how we can fix the problem in the long run. In the meantime, the toilet/shower clogged again and even though there was no warranty on the service due to the obstruction in the pipe, Brad went out of his way to get the issue taken care of under warranty. I really appreciated his dedication and communication throughout the process. He shows care for the customer and the service he provided was excellent because of Brad and the service he provided, I would highly recommend Roto Rooter for emergency services.

I called roto rooter this afternoon for a clean out and I was told someone will contact me between 16:00-20:00 to confirm. I missed a call at 15:30 while I was on my way home. I called back as soon as I arrived at home like 15:50. They told me a dispatcher would call me back. No one ever called me. I called back at 1800 to see if someone is still making my service call. I was on hold for a long time again for a dispatcher to talk to me only to get the service rep come back saying they made several attempts to contact me and there was no answer. I've been home since 15:50! I just canceled and went with someone else. Don't waste your time with roto rooter! They keep you on hold and they don't adhere to schedule time of appointment and they lie cus no one there really wants to work!

They quoted my plumbing to be $3000 for 40ft of pipe work to be done and they only did 5 feet of pipe and my wife didn't check because we have a baby and I was at work so they made her sign without telling her they changed the plan, and still charged us $3000. Watch out for these scammers
They charged me for 35 ft and only did 5ft of pipe, I did not get my money back.

I have used Roto-Rooter for plumbing needs for over 25 years, but I will NEVER use them again. This time, I had a water leak. I called for help and was contacted by their water mitigation team, but they didn't have a plumber available for at least a week. The mitigation team wanted to begin without the leak being fixed! I continued to call, usually getting the corporate office, and was offered by two other water mitigation teams (all in the same building) to come out and get things started. It was a freaking nightmare.
Once the leak was repaired, the mitigation team began their process, which is supposed to include daily visits to measure the moisture levels. The guys who measured had no schedule; they simply called each time and said "we can be there in XX minutes. Very inconvenient for a working customer.
It took forever to get a plumber's assessment sent to my insurance company. I finally called the branch manager, who (I think) just filled out the form himself. When I got my bill (which was sent to my insurance company), there were pages and pages of pictures of a home and a moisture reading - but several of those pictures were of a one-story home nowhere near my house. Yet I was being billed for visits that I absolutely know never occurred. It took the insurance company fighting with Roto-Rooter to accept lower payment for undocumented visits (I signed each time they actually came to the house).
I then began to get phone calls from other area codes asking me to pay the bill, before I was ever given a copy of the final invoice. I finally received the invoice at my junk email address (that the one they were given by me or my insurance company). When I accidentally found that bill I also found a threat that if I didn't pay immediately, they would put a lean on my home.
I called nine different times to try to pay my bill. The ninth time I called the corporate office in Ohio, who amazingly was able to connect me directly to the same person I had been trying to call and was sent to voicemail.
I could go on, like when the project manager apparently was hospitalized and I would call and never hear back from him. Not exactly his fault, but if a company knows that a key person is in the hospital, they STILL need to take care of the customer.
I've lost all respect for Roto-Rooter. I know that this was primarily a water mitigation problem, but it was the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced.

During the snow storm of 2021 a water pipe busted in my home. I called Roto-Rooter on a Monday and pleasantly found they were scheduling me for the next day. Winter conditions continued and no show. I called them at the end of the day and was told all scheduled appointments were moved to next day. Next day no show, no call. It's Friday and still no show, but what disturbs me most is no notice this whole time. I only heard from them once and that's bc I called them. Luckily my neighbor called A.L. Plumbing and after talking to their plumber he squeezed me in right there on the spot and fixed my problem. A.L. Plumbing, 210-269-6346.
I can't speak to R-Rs quality of service, but I can speak to their disregard for customer notification, time, and general courtesy.

Victor Espinoza, the project specialist from roto-rooter showed up at the agreed time and proceeded to look at the plumbing problem. He showed wearing a mask, was very patient and understanding. He then used his equipment and foynd.the problem. Bivtor was great. He found the priblem and marked for the SA Water to come out and fix it. Thank you Victor and roto-rooter for being so prompt and thorough.
