Had a water line (above ground well; pvc pipe) have a filter pop off. It was around 11:30pm when I had a plumber dispatched to my house. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. No issues with his performance at all. My issue was the cost. He replaced about 2ft total of PVC 1/2"""" pipe and was onsite for about 2hrs. (I hr waiting for glue to dry) The cost was 1115.00 or the equivalent of 500.00 dollars per hour. I understand it was after hours call, but that is a ridiculous amount. I did not pay that much with another company when I had my septic tank pumped....and that had to be dug up! I will not use them again, for what I will call price gouging, for any service I need. As a side note, the plumber and I did not discuss price before he was done and that was on me. (Though in my craziest dreams did I imagine that kind of price) Let this be a warning to all...stay away from this company or be taken advantage of.

Wow"""" is the first word that comes to mind, but I shall elaborate. What an exceptional experience! We've all encountered tradespeople who disappoint us, be it electricians, carpenters or contractors. But these folks go out of their way to provide excellent service at a fair and competitive price. They tick every box--professionalism, courtesy (including office staff members Nicole and Cindy), honesty, and delivering the work promised at the agreed-upon price. We had a serious plumbing backup. The 50-year-old 'orangeburg' sewer line was collapsing in various places. Initially, Shane, the technician who visited some weeks ago, cleared (jetted) the line as best he could given its condition, and at least we were """"operational"""" again. But he provided estimates for two phases of work we might want done. One phase involved replacing the old and rusting iron pipe under the house. The other was replacing the waste line. There was NO hard-sell, no dire warnings, just honesty about the state of things. Weeks went by and the plumbing began to back up again, which can easily turn into a nightmare situation. I called the office and told them I had an estimate from Shane, and we thought maybe we should start with the plumbing underneath the house. Within two days, the truck was in the driveway, new pipe on board. BUT... and here's the part to take note of please. Instead of simply starting right in on the planned work, Shane went under the house and did a thorough inspection. Then of his OWN initiative, he scoped the waste lines before he explained the situation. Yes, he could go ahead and do the pipe replacement, but that was only going to solve part of the problem, and NOT the most urgent one. Now he could have gone ahead and simply done what was planned. That would have been the easy route for him and besides, he had driven an hour to get to the house. He could have finished, gotten paid, and been done. He just didn't think that was the RIGHT way to proceed, and he said he really didn't want to see us spend a chunk of money and still not be 'free and clear.' That made perfect sense, so we decided to shift gears and install 32' of new waste line instead. The upshot was that he called the office and explained the shift in strategy. The next day was a Friday. He didn't want to leave us with minimal plumbing availability. Was there any way they could start the next day. They did some adjusting to their schedules, they quickly got hold of the city to come and mark utility lines (which happened within a couple hours), and yes, the very next day!!! Shane was back. With him came Brandon, the maestro of the backhoe, who dug with great care and precision; clearly he knew what he was doing. Such diligence, such courtesy, such freakin' hard work in the blazing heat--digging up shrubs, cutting a section of sidewalk so as not to destroy it completely, laying pipe with attention to detail, installing cleanouts per city requirements. This was a beautifully executed project, brought in per the estimate, no upcharges, no extras. Now that's a business with integrity! About 9 hours later, the trench was filled in, grass seed was put down along with straw to cover it. Every bit of trash was picked up, including the debris of the shrubs, and then they were gone... with many, many thanks.

Problem was diagnosed and temporarily resolved with an explanation of what further action needed to be done. Technician was courteous and professional.

Kevin did an awesome job unclogging our kitchen drain this morning. I had tried for the last two nights to get it unclogged.. Within an hour, he was packing up and leaving. Fair price..

My wife noticed a leak under the sink in the morning. She called Roto-Rooter since we have used them in the past. Appointment was confirmed and the technician Charles #130 arrived on time as promised. Sink Disposer was replaced. My wife found the technician professional, courteous and honest. Solid work at a reasonable price. Roto-Rooter is always upfront about charges. We've never had a problem with their service. They will continue to be the first plumber we call for routine or emergency repairs.

Nothing like receiving a call at the office and being informed that the downstairs toilet is overflowing! Called Roto-Rooter and they arrived within 45 minutes. Kept us informed of what was being done and what would be required. Very professional young man that took care of the problem! I hope to not have anymore plumbing issues in the future but if I do I will call Roto-Rooter again.

Call Roto Rooter - they are in Roebuck -.... they tried to charge me over $1000 to do a simple septic tank pump out!!! The service man was a hustler, he tried to tell me that I have a Big problem and it may be more than $1000... I am 89 years young and I know a scam when I see it! Sent him away after he charged me $65.00 just to come and had another company there within an hour and the cost was $300.00 BEWARE! They take advantage of the elderly

We had no idea what kind of problem we might encounter with our septic system. Our technician, Leroy Snelling, carefully explained everything he was doing and showed us exactly where problems were ... and were not! We could not have been more pleased! This was one of the best experiences with a service call we have had. We were especially impressed with the state-of-the-art equipment used as there was no digging that needed to happen. We are Roto-Rooter fans!

My hot water quit on Saturday. I called Roto-Rooter as soon as I figured out I could not replace the tank myself. On the phone they told me I might not get another tank to fit in my crawl space. The tech arrived just about dark. He told me he could not help me because all his parts warehouses are closed on the weekends. He said the office would get back in touch first thing Monday morning with a quote. He said a service disconnect and pressure tank must be installed due to code. However, other installers tell me pressure tanks are just for gas heaters unless I request one be installed. I haven't heard from Roto-Rooter as of 12:30pm Monday. Aireserv.com with HomeDepot has already came and fixed the problem and left. Don't call Roto-Rooter for emergency service and especially not on a weekend.
