Mike C.Excellent service. Knowledgeable and personable. He gave us great insight and honest advice. I will absolutely use them in the future.
Every local plumber refused to come out to diagnose/treat our issue. Roto Rooter comes out with no fee for diagnosis, and the work was wonderful and I thought the prices were fair. The best part was our tech, Bob Bickerstaffe. He was so nice and patient. Thorough and clean too. We will definitely be calling RR again!
Carol L.Highly recommend Ernst Sajou who fixed my clogged up shower drain
Great customer service. He explained everything and made the whole experience as pleasant as possible. I highly recommend him. Very prompt service. He cleaned up everything perfectly and was a pleasure to work with.
Sara L.The other reviews were from a few years ago, so maybe something has changed. However, I contacted this place for something as simple as a stove hookup. I have all of the parts, and there is already gas in place... just a swap.
I called on a weekend, and the soonest someone could come was Tuesday. Tuesday comes, and an hour into my installation window, I called to ask where he was, and was told, ""There aren't any available plumbers for your area today (though the appointment was made 4 days before).""
They then proceeded to make an appointment for the following day for 8-12. I said fine. At 9:40 I received another unrelated service technician at my door, and while I was at the door, Rotorooter called to state that the technician was available but they were waiting on me to call back to say it's OK for him to come. The appointment window was 8-12. I confirmed that yesterday after they flaked on the first appointment. Now, they aren't here because I didn't further confirm the thing I confirmed just 12 hours ago, wth??? How can you be a plumbing company whose sole focus is on how not to show up and plumb something?
This is too much mess and confusion for a large company. They charge you by the hour, but I have wasted 2 days / 8 hours worth of my time just waiting on these people without so much as an, ""I'm sorry and we'll be there ASAP.""
The dispatch rep was rude when I called back, and overall, I can't see why I should pay anyone to not show up, and be rude about it. There are other plumbers out here, you should choose one. The 2 stars is because the do have automatic service calls, and the wait to speak with someone is very short. Or maybe the 2 stars is because I'm flipping starving to death, since I have no stove for the 5th day, and I'm too delirious to think straight. Regardless, run away. I'm glad it wasn't my toilet, because you can go out to eat, but I'm not sure it's as easy in reverse.
Gordon S.So ""Pat S."" gives this robotic answer to everyone on yelp. I tried contacting them via the email this Pat person provides. I got a very rude / racist response. They did nothing to resolve my issue. Im not even that upset tho. There prices are outrageous and they cant fix that so their service doesn't even matter. Like I said before contact a local plumber who runs a small biz and get a WAY better price and obviously way better service. This company is a joke and an embarrassment to the community.
I wish I had checked the other Yelp reviews before calling these people. Like many others, they scheduled an appointment (to show up between 12 and 4 the next day) and cancelled at 3:50 on the day they were supposed to come. There's a severe lack of professionalism in canceling after they were supposed to arrive.
If you have a problem don't count on Roto-Rooter to fix it.
In my last review, i discussed the issues that i had with RR when they came to fix my kitchen sink. Since that review RR has gotten in touch with and they have been nothing but concerned and apologetic about the whole experience. There are days when things just don't go right and i guess this was one such day for them. I had used them in the past in CT and had been nothing but pleased; so was surprised at my experience in MA.However In the end everyone is human and ""bad"" days just happen.
Rip off artists- do not trust!!
My 80yr parents had a clogged bath sink. They were told $300 special rate for seniors instead of $399! My father gave him a piece of his mind, the guy made a phone call and reduced the rate to $58!!!! The job literally took 8 min! Do not trust this company, it is trying to rip off seniors and potentially others!!!!!
My washing machine draining hose broke and it started leaking, when i called the customer service line was helpful, but they confused me with someone else when they sent the conformation email. after giving me a 2 hour window, they said the plumber would be 45 minutes away, after that they called and said he could not make it today and they scheduled for the next morning between 8 & 12, i said 8 would be a little too early on a Saturday morning, if they could make my appointment at the end of that time window, and the lady said it is ok. so the next morning they called around 7:30 in the morning and i told them if they could make it between 10 and 12 and they said fine. they didn't call at all, i called around 2:20 PM. and explained they said i will be the next on the list. but they didn't call back until 4, they told me he is on his way, an hour later they called and said the guy couldn't find a parking spot so he took off!!!!
i wen't downstairs to the doorman he said no one showed up? then i called they said the next appointment would be on monday. so i just cancelled and going to contact another company.
Recently my mom called them as a toilet bowl right where two screws hold flush tank were a little leaking. Plumber showed up, didn't bother to take His dirty boots and walked straight through new carpet. Mind you, my mom is old and alone and I know for a fact that many service contractors try to cheat old folks out of cash. When asked to give estimate He said shod be about $40.00 which sounds reasonable. I mean, how long and hard would it take to put new gaskets and tighten two screws right? So, the guy walked into the bathroom and closed a door behind Him (why?). I'm sure so He can just take His time and probably just sit on His phone or something. In the end guy spend there almost like an hour. WTF? And wrote the bill just for a labor $350.00
So my question is this, are the plumbers from now on making more then lawyers, engineers, doctors? I did contact a manager but She said there is nothing wrong with that bill. I did wrote a email to company's headquarters but no response. I will never ever will use any service from this company.
