Fernando is awesome, and everyone else that I had contact with was polite and did their jobs. The problem is the price.. After spending $1,100. to have my sewer line jetted, I was quoted $597. for the same exact thing by another company. I feel like an idiot. I was in a bind and feel I was taken advantage of, I'm not rich. I was also quoted twice as much to replace a pipe, thankfully I didn't hire them to do that job!

We had an unknown leak in our bathroom and called roto-rooters out of pure convenience. They responded very quickly, and professionally... We ended up having to gut our bathroom and part of our kitchen due to mold, but the disaster team was on it, and had everything treated and done within a couple of days. They helped us contact our home owners insurance and file the necessary claims to cover the majority of the expense. The guys were friendly, kind, and took great care of our things and our house. I will use them again without hesitation.

I had an appointment with Roto Rooter between 5-9. They called at 7:30 and said they would not be able to make it, the technician was running late. They rescheduled me for the next night between 5:30- 7:30. They called at 6 pm to advise me that they did not have a technician that could do the work I needed. They did not hold up to two appointments, which in my book is totally unacceptable. I wasted valuable time and will never use them again. Get your act together people!

I contacted Roto Rooter in Providence RI about my water heater leaking all over the floors and was able to schedule an appointment for within the next few hours. When the plumber, Jim, showed up and told me I would need a new water heater and he would be able to do it that evening, he allowed me to go buy one while he drained out the old one. This saved me a significant amount of money! With a list of items he would need, I was able to pick everything up and get it back to the house while the old tank was still draining. The process was very smooth and the plumber was really kind, understanding and professional.

We had a clog in our pipe under the laundry room and called Roto-rooter at 7:30 in the morning. They had a technician to our house by 8:30. The technician was very polite and stayed until we figured out the problem. It ended up being a rag that somehow got into the pipes. The technician used a hose with a blade on it to clean out the pipes. I would use them again for any plumbing services. The technician Enea was great.

We work with Jim Dowding. Jim checks in on us every 6 months to make sure that our roots are under control. We live in an old house that is surrounded by trees whose roots constantly invade and clog our pipping. Jim comes and clears the pipes, taking the time to explain each step of the process, suggest alternative treatments and helps us plan for future projects to repair and maintain our pipe system.

Roto-Rooter has consistently been on time, efficient and affordable. We couldn't keep our house above water without them.

Fernando came to our house first thing in the morning to fix clogged drain in kitchen.
He was on time and very professional. He did a very thorough job and explained everything he did and made recommendations for upkeep. They also guarantee work for 6 months.
although they seemed a little expensive for the service they did show up when they said they would. Other plumbers I had called never even returned the call.
I would use them again for future use.

I had a good experience with this company. Scheduling was a breeze. I was told a plumber will be arriving within a 2hr window. Wilkins (#1147) was very professional and he was able to fix the clogged sink in less than an hour.

Although the workers were professional and got here quickly, the overall job was shotty. I have had gas leaking for a week; they fixed it, still smelt gas and had the gas company come in and then had everyone back....well, three weeks later and still smell ""something"". I've since contact Customer service at Rotor Rooter and they promptly are handling at the time. I expect all will be resolved at which time I will update my review.

Eric showed up within an hour and diagnosed my primary problem as a partially blocked main drain pipe. He was courteous and competent in explaining what he was going to do, and then proceeding to root out the main line to the street, and do a video inspection.

One surprise to him, and me, was that the line didn't clear completely until the camera was put through, which made me wonder what the initial ""cleaning"" had actually accomplished.

This is an old house, with a house trap that he recommended I have removed. Because of the house trap, he said he could not guarantee the clearing of the line, but his rough estimate of cost to remove the house trap was very high and, since I have had no problems since the last time I had the line cleared 30 years ago, I will probably leave well enough alone.

Since it's so long since I've had this kind of work done, I have no basis for cost comparison, but I thought the total cost was rather high (~$450), especially since the final bill included $50+ for a bottle of drain cleaner that I was not made aware of ahead of time (and presumably could have opted out of). However, I am happy that my immediate problem is resolved.
