Update 8/25: Please don't be swayed by the performative outreach below on this review. I provided details as requested and got a call from a branch manager who told me ""We charge what we charge"" and could not provide any explanation for how a job could go over estimate when they spent less than an hour in my home total. It's check a box customer service, nothing more.

I used roto rooter for some minor water damage cleanup in my bathroom. After getting a $1,000 - $2,500 estimate a team came in, did no work to replace or remove any drywall or flooring but simply applied an anti microbial spray and set up dehumidifiers. Between setup and removal the team was in my home for less than an hour total. So I assumed the bill would be on the low end of the estimate, but it turned out to be $2950, above the initial estimate and miraculously just less than my home insurance deductible! There's no way the work performed was anywhere near that actual value, please do not use this company.

The techs that came were professional and courteous, but Roto-Rooter itself is far too expensive for the services they provide. Even with a 'senior citizen' $100 discount, it cost about 70% more than if I'd have chosen a local plumber... even without that discount.

These guys are scam artists. Stay away. Technician (Chris) quoted me $345 for flange replacement including parts. After removing the toilet, price went up to $630 even though nothing new was discovered. His explanation was he will use stainless steel screws. When I spoke to his manager, he was very rude. Would never do business with them again.

Our basement was flooded and called them, they are very responsive and came over the same day. They determined the clog in the drain outside of the house and charged me 400 to unclog it. They told me for 400 dollars (which is quite a lot) I get a follow up camera inspection for more information of the drain. But they never came back. After almost half a year, I called them again and they promised to come in a week, then they didn't come again. I got clogged again in another property, I called Bacon's drain cleaning and they charged me 200 and also fixed it in the same day.

Run away from this company. They have a bid of over $13,000 for a job our second opinion fixed for $100. They are just looking to take advantage of their customers who are in a bad plumbing situation. They have a good line to try to convince you. Thank God for honest second opinions.
