I have never taken the time to write a review before but I am so angry I just have to. I called roto rooter and it was determined by them after having 3 guys out that I first needed my back patio excavated and their services were going to cost over 5000.00. They said they would either would have to go through the roof and do something that would cause my basement to be filled with sewage or they would have to excavate my back new stamped concrete patio instead. I chose the patio of course. After I begged the third more advanced plumber to see if there was another way of doing things he agreed we wouldn't have to dig up the back patio ""yet"" at least. I asked since we don't have to do that, then a boat load would thankfully come off my bill. After checking they said they would take off only 400.00. Mind you, they already had the excavating equipment at my house. I said no way...only 400.00 off. Are you kidding me???? I couldn't believe it!!! I made them leave and I got another plumber over there 4 days later. They fixed my whole problem in 2 hours and the cost for what they did was $350.00. They said if what they didn't fix the problem they may have to re-pipe which would be another 450.00 tops. Now this is a far cry from $5000.00 to them and then another $4-$6000 for new concrete. I was also told by Roto-Rooter all my sewage waste was in my front yard and would cause major problems. The second plumbing company snaked it and I saw the video footage going ALL THE WAY to the street. The second plumbing company saw no backup, a few roots , but everything looked actually really good he said and I saw it for myself. I have no gurgling in my sink and I saved over $10,000 by not using this company. HIGHWAY ROBBERS who wanted to take advantage of a single woman. I am just sooooo grateful I was smart enough to get a second opinion. 1 star is too many. I would urge people to go elsewhere. This is the first review I have EVER taken the time to write.

Excellent service but I thought very pricey for snaking a clogged pipe. We had work done in another location that was 1/2 the price for the same service. They must charge by zip code. The more affluent the area, the higher the cost of service. Repairman was very friendly though and gave us tips on how to prevent future troubles.

We were overwhelmed with the quick and thorough service Roto-Rooter provided. We had water (possibly sewage) leaking through our ceiling due to a toilet issue on Dec. 26. They were able to come out that day, which surprised us given it was the day after the holiday. In addition to sending out a plumber, when they realized I needed to remove a portion of my ceiling quickly they were able to send out their restoration team. If I had hired a smaller plumbing company or contractor I would've had to find someone else who could do that work. The two teams worked together to get the problem addressed that day, worked with me through the insurance claim, and provided exceptional customer service by answering additional questions over the phone when we had them, as well as returning on each of the next two days to check on the clean-up. We were extremely impressed with the experience.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I wasted 1/2 day off from work waiting for someone who couldn't even make the 4 hour allotment time to give an estimate. Really? They did call @10:30 to say they were running late but as time went on it was apparent they scheduled too many jobs and it put their technician behind exponentially. Ultimately, I had to cancel @ 12:30 and was not happy. Do not recommend and will take my business elsewhere.

We had MIKE CRIST from Roto come to our house in an emergency circumstances; we had a blockage issue that was a source of problems for us for years that we couldn't solve, and to make matters worse, it was day after Xmas. After years of snaking, jetting, etc, we finally found this gentlemen ( thru Roto) that we deemed SUPER MiKE-! Not only did he work harder than anyone I have ever hired ( came at noon and left at 10pm!), but found the source of our verrrry SERIOUS problem ( a broken sewer pipe under the house!) and then he RePAIRED it!!! Which included 2 cameras all over our plumbing and sewer system and lines and then finding the source of issue, He then jack hammering concrete, finding the EXACT spot where it was broken, and took out bad portion of pipe, replaced it and BOOM... The surgeon was successful! Unreal, AND the nicest, warmest guy you will ever meet... Roto Rooter is sooo LUCKY to have him-!!! Super Mike--!!

Came out to Bay Village quickly on Christmas Eve and augered our main drain to clear it and get the toilets working so that they would not back up into the basement. Cleared another drain that had been slow for awhile. May have to have the main line video inspected as the plumber said it was only 3 inches instead of four and several offsets that complicated the clearing of the main line.

I just had roto rooter out to my house today. My service technician was Derek and he was outstanding!!! He not only took the time to make sure the problem was fixed but also explained everything to me. He was professional and extremely hardworking. I would definitely use roto rooter again and request Derek!

After a stressful week with our sewer issues, I highly recommend Roto Rooter as an excellent plumbing contractor. They may not have been the cheapest, but their customer service was top notch. From start to finish, these guys were great. They respected our property, respected our dogs (Major Plus), and explained everything that was going on along with our best options to correct our issues. We were also impressed with their promptness. They arrived when they said they would and were finished when they said they would be. The guys that came out to our house were Mike (He came out first to snake and camera the drain), Jim (supervisor), Carl (foreman of dig crew) and I didn't catch the name of the poor kid that was down in the hole but he was very young. They were all execptional and if you are able to request someone specific, ask for them! Great job guys!

Overpriced and lazy. 8 months ago, a Roto Rooter plumber came over to my house to check the pressure on my gas pipes to see if it was possible to have a gas stove. He spent 30 minutes checking the pressure and it didn't even hold pressure for 1 second (should have been a hint!). He was happy to charge me $250 for doing nothing and left. Fast forward to today, I was doing some maintenance on my furnace and I looked up. I saw a dead end gas pipe that the end was completely opened and not sealed off! In open air in my basement ceiling! I traced it back right to the line that would go up to my stove. I feel so foolish now for letting him take advantage of me like that. I already bought an electric stove and now it's possible that my gas-line can hold pressure and now I have to test it again. It should have been a dead giveaway that it didn't hold pressure for even 1 second.

AVOID at all costs. Don't make the same mistake I did and throw money down the drain.
