We called on a Friday evening and they were able to get someone out in an hour. Landon came to our house to fix a clogged toliet. He was very professional and kind. Repair was fast and pricing was fair and upfront. Totally recommend their services! I will call them in the future for all my plumbing needs!

I ditto Taylor R.s of Portland, OR experience. Same $500 charge for ONE technician and then another $400 for another technician to clean out a clogged pipe. I was charged over $1,070.00 for the main technician to tell me that there was a mass of roots in the middle of the road and his machine could only get part way through it. So the cause of the back up was not removed. They left a mess on the basement floor and said that we could clean it up for free or they could clean it up and charge more money. Then they sent me an estimate for over $24,000.00 to get to the root mass! YES, you read that correctly, twenty-four thousand dollars!!!
I called another plumbing service out who sent two technicians and charged $250 for the first hour for TWO technicians who broke up the root mass and cleaned up any mess. I was charged $270.00. What the hell?! Negative stars.

Had a leaking and running toilet. Called on a Sunday, let them know this was not an emergency as I have another bathroom in my home and I turned off the water to the affected toilet. Roto Rooter scheduled me for a 4 hour window on Monday (the next day). I had to re-arrange my schedule and work from home, but it was okay as I needed the toilet fixed and the appointment was scheduled quickly. The operator did call and gave me a 45 minute heads-up the technician was on their way which was convenient and I did appreciate this. When the technician arrived he did not have a name badge or anything indicating he worked for Roto Rooter aside from his van with the logo on it. He actually was wearing a Re-Bath polo shirt which I found odd. He came in and I showed him the toilet that needed fixing and explained the issue. He took about a one-minute look in the bowl and quoted me approximately $500! I was desperate and did not want to pay the $99 estimate for his one-minute evaluation required by RR without fixing the problem so I agreed to the quote. The technician stated he need to go grab a part and left. I mistakenly assumed he was going to his van to get whatever part he needed but when I looked out the window after a few minutes of waiting the guy was gone! About 30 minutes later the technician came back, with the part, I'm guessing (?), and went into my bathroom and repaired the toilet. He came back out about 10 minutes later and presented me with a bill for $536!!! It should have been closer to $200, MAYBE! I feel like I was completely taken advantage of. As a homeowner with an older home, that will most likely need future repairs, I will never again use this company! They have lost out on my business.

Hi have used Roto-Rooter in the past and yesterday used Roto-Rooter again. In opinion, this company is not the cheapest, but I use it for the reason that there has never been any problem and it is a fair price. This employee was especially friendly and competent. I recommend Root-Rooter.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would! Do not waste your time or money on this incompetent business who only cares about taking your money and ripping you off. They came out to snake our sewer line due to a clog. The tech that came out told me that because our sewer line was downstairs, he would need to call another tech out to help him carry equipment downstairs and it would be another charge of $400!!!! This was already on top of the $500 initial fee he told me. He then made an appt for that evening for someone to come out and scope the sewer line at 5 pm, no one called, no one showed. This is where it gets comical, I then had to call Roto Rooter every day for the next 4 days to try and figure out when someone would be coming to scope the sewer and finish the job we paid almost $1000 for. I got the run around for 4 days, ""someone will be out today"", ""someone will be out tomorrow"" before they finally sent a tech to scope the sewer line. That tech was supposed to email me the results and never did. What a joke. I've worked in customer service and I try to be empathetic to people working in those jobs, because I know they are hard but when I say this is THE WORST customer service I have experienced, I am not lying. Don't bother wasting your time with them, there are a ton of other companies that deserve your business!

More like rip-off rooter. I will NEVER use this service again. I DO NOT recommend it unless they are your only option. I was charged $500 for my main line being cleared. It was explained to me that it was a flat rate for the time that they were there and anything else done there additionally was $30. Well that was not the case, my bathroom sink was snaked and I was charged another $500 ON TOP of the $500 for the main line, not $30. When I questioned it, I was given a verbal run around about the pricing changing and was told that I had to pay it. So obviously the service person was trying to make a commission off of what was being charged to me. On top of that they charged me for some kind of purple drain cleaner that I didn't ask for.

RIP OFF!

Our experience with this company was great. I received great customer service from Ayesha, Eugene, and a couple of other customer service reps who answered my questions and helped coordinate the appointment. We had a special circumstance where we desperately needed someone to come by same day and they did their absolute best to make it happen. Plumber Jeff Orick was very professional and helpful. I really like that they are doing a can drive right now and offering a discount with a donation. The only part of the experience that could be improved is the response window of three minutes they have for a confirmation text. 5-10 minutes seems more reasonable.

Like some of the other reviews, they kept moving my appointment for fixing a small leak! Very, very frustrating. The plumber finally came on the 4th appointment (which was probably at least 2 - 2 1/2 weeks from the first one). Now, my rating of of the plumber, Tim, is a 5-star! He was very nice, respectful and knew his job. Got it done without any issues. So, would I call them again? Probably not. Would I call Tim directly, if I could, you bet! Now, I waiting to have their water restoration team come and check to see if I have any water damage issues. We will see how that goes.

Save yourself the headache. Kept moving the appointment and then once the appointment day did arrive, they gave me a window from noon to 4PM never came, never called until 8PM to reschedule. Two days wasted with this company only to have nobody show up. They do not keep their promises and are not responsive or communicative. When they finally called the 2nd day to inform me that they again didn't show up, I laughed and said that I was done working with them. I will never call Roto Rooter again.
