Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Roto-Rooter of Central Oregon came out and pumped our septic. They charge twice as much as anyone else. But, they were quick, good, and polite. Didn't inspect plumbing / anything. Months later, found out there was a leak in plumbing that over-saturated the tank. Wish they had inspected that before. Anyway, came back out and inspected- fast response. Told us that ""probably"" a leak and we needed to pump septic again. 1 Hour. The quote: $330: $45 for an ""out-of-area"" call, and $285 for the service work. WHAT? They claimed work was done that wasn't (a mainline?). In the end, we said we'd pay for the call and work done, but it needed to be fair. They said nope - ""we don't need your business"". WHAT? Where did that come from. So, I guess we're blacklisted because we wanted to pay for the work done and because they were caught not doing the work, they write us off and cut us off. Very disappointed. Not the Roto Rooter I remember from 15 years ago.

Tenant had them auger a toilet.
Still was backing up. Tenant called back 2nd day and they said, ""1 day warranty"" but they'd come back for $195 an hour.

So, looks like we literally flushed $300 down the drain with the problem not fixed.

Both Lance and Steve were incredibly helpful, professional and empathetic when our basement flooded. They got right to the job in such a timely manner that it was truly impressive. Unfortunately we've had to have these guys come out three times in the last handful of months; each time honoring their guarantee.Even when it's beyond cold outside, they are prompt and get the job done, making sure to answer any questions we have had.

The main sewer line was completely blocked. I called RotoRooter first thing in the morning and they showed up early afternoon. The service tech (Donald) took his time to explain what he was doing. The part that I appreciated was he wasn't satisfied with just getting the water flowing. Using the camera he was able to see that there was still a partial blockage even though water was draining. It took several attempts to completely clear the sewer verified by the camera. What's impressive is most places would have just said they were done once the water started flowing...not Donald with RotoRooter...he was only satisfied once he knew the cause of the clog and the drain was completely cleared. I highly recommend RotoRooter out of Redmond Oregon and their service tech Donald.
