If I could give them 0 stars I would! this is my basement full of waste water after my kitchen sink was clogged so they came out to snake it. The pipe bursted down in the basement and left tons of waste water everywhere. they said they would take care of the matter, and then flipped that answer to now it's my fault! I still have no paperwork in hand and have talked to numerous people to be then told I would get a call back in a few days! WORST experience ever! also their water mitigation team came out and tried to tell us it would be $13-18,000 for mitigation, that seemed high so we reached out to another reputable company and it was $3,500... we will never use them again, not a reputable company!

A clog in the main drainage line from our kitchen sink caused a flood when I took a shower upstairs this morning. The kitchen sink overflowed onto the counters and floor. Roto-Rooter was the only company I called who could help us today, and the technician (Sam) arrived within a couple of hours. He was very professional and courteous, and he resolved the problem completely in about an hour. The cost was on the high side but the job was done quickly and properly and includes a six month warranty. I would definitely recommend this company based on our experience.

My Egress window well flooded, I spent over an hour bailing water until it was empty. The young man came out spent 2.5 hours messing with it, filling the well with water. The water was back where it started, ready to flood the basement again. He said he cant fix it. He didn't have the right tools to drain the water. I pressed him on it and basically said its not his job. He charged $500 to make the problem worse. Shame on you ROTO ROOTER. Solution: Provide proper tools or train your emplyees better. Lower your prices when you fail to fix something and make it worse!

I had rotorooter come out to look at a plumbing issue. The gentlemen who came over were very nice. They told me rotorooter was competitive in their pricing. They fully took advantage of the situation. They were here for barely over an hour. They left a mess, including their spare piping all over the garage. They didn't even have the courtesy to replace the insulation or even replace the duct tape to hold the insulation together which they cut through. I was told by a few other companies I was fully taken advantage of. I complained on the website and someone told me they would have the manager get in touch with me. He did, however he was rude and had no knowledge of the work that had been done. I gave him the invoice number and continuously told him what was done and exactly what had been written on my invoice. He kept saying they did work outside or to the garbage disposal and other things which had NEVER been done. I was charged $1140 to fix a hose bib and a toilet shut off valve. After speaking to the manager he told me they would credit me $75.00 and that was over a month ago... still no action has been taken on their part. He also didn't have much to say about the pricing that shouldn't have been charged for the extrememly minimal amount of work they did. I would advise anyone and everyone to STAY away from this company. They leave a mess, overcharge, and don't hold themselves accountable. Their also uncertain of their warranty, the manager told me two years however the employees and my paperwork state one year.

Looks like I'm not alone with this review - had a single drain backed up in the laundry room and looked online to see lots of $60-$90 estimates for drain cleaning. I scheduled online with Roto-Rooter presuming their prices would be in the neighborhood. Definitely they get props for easy scheduling and prompt arrival. However, the fellow looked at my issue, said, ""that doesn't look too complicated"", and then quoted me $500. I declined the service, scheduled with the competition and got it done for: yes indeed, $83, with a 90-day warrantee. If you enjoy flushing your money down the tube that I am sure Roto-Rooter would be able to clean out for you, schedule with their service. Otherwise, I suggest the competition, and keep the nearly 700% markup in your pocket.

The plumbing in my house backed up. When i googled roto rooter, a bunch of other companies popped up saying $85-$93 drain cleaning services.

I decided to call roto rooter and let the gal know the plumbing had backed up and asked if she had an idea of price, she told me they would need someone to assess before giving me a quote.
She gave me a time frame of when the people would be arriving and even said they might be earlier but they showed up late. I told them the problem, they came in my house and saw my bathtub and then said it would be $469 to fix. I was utterly SHOCKED by this price. Didn't feel like I had much of a choice as I had already waited hours for them to arrive and getting another company out could take even longer-- will not use them again

The earliest they could get me in was two weeks so I made an appointment for a leaky pipe. After a week I get a call saying ""call us back"". I call back and am out on hold for five minutes listening to a 15 second loop of their jingle (total 20 times listening to damn jingle). I hang up can call back later. reason for the call- they are no longer honoring the appointments ""in your area"". so a week of waiting and now I'm back to square one. what's worse is they made me play phone tag as if that somehow makes it better for refusing service and not honoring our appointment. Terrible business. Not sure why I called them in the first place but NEVER making that mistake again

Roto rooter came to my rescue on a Sunday afternoon after another ""rescue rooter"" service stood me up after 5 hours of waiting. I got a response in a few minutes and a technician was on the way to my house within an hour of my service call! I had called a couple of other plumbing services and they pretty much told me to call them back on Monday to get on their schedule. This was a slightly urgent matter and I really didn't want to wait until my basement was flooded.

Jacob cleared my basement drain rather quickly and he was very polite and knowledgeable. He was able to assess the problem and it was taken care of the first time.

Roto rooter was a little pricey but for the speed of service especially on a weekend it was worth it to me.

Knowledge is indeed a pathway to freedom. You know the adage - give a person a fish and feed them for a day, teach a person to fish . . . Okay, okay, enough with the pseudo-philosophical start to this review. In all honesty, here is the deal - Roto-Rooter . . . is . . . amazing.

We'd been having a sort of sluggish drain issue in our master bathroom for weeks. In an attempt to solve the problem, I had already had a plumber out - to no avail. Everything was customer-focused, from the moment I logged into their website, to the confirmation phone call from the dispatcher, to the friendly and incredibly kind technician.

Eric C., the Roto-Rooter technician, showed up at our house early. He waited patiently in his service vehicle while I hurried home from picking up our daughter from school and then politely told me what a goofball I was. No, he did no such thing. Instead, he walked me through the steps to rectify the problem on my own and taught me the measures to prevent the issue from recurring. He was thoughtful, courteous, and ever-patient with my ineptness around tools. Oh, and the pièce de résistance - he didn't charge me anything. Wow! Talk about genuinely customer-focused services.

I will never, ever go to another plumber again. I am entirely sold on Roto-Rooter and can't speak highly enough for Eric and the kindness he showed. Do yourself and your house a favor - call Roto-Rooter before you try any other plumbing group. You will not be sorry.
