Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

We had just moved to the area and purchased a home. The very first time we used our master shower we had a leak in the basement. (I'm not exactly sure how the home inspector missed this one!)

We had a super helpful plumber, John, come out same day and identify the issue. John checked all the pipes (multiple shower heads) and those were all good. Turns out the builder or previous home owner had built the shower with a bench that sloped toward the wall instead of toward the drain and did not bring the water barrier all the way up the wall! Water was leaking down the wall from where the water barrier stopped and then down through the ceiling below.

We are very grateful for Johns help in preventing more leaking through the floors

The first time I used roto rooter, it was a simple drain pipe that rotted out and needed replaced. The technician went above and beyond to try and repair a separate issue that I was having. He was able to get it fixed at only a slightly higher charge than just the drain. He then took all of the information to give me a quote on another plumbing job in my basement. He was so friendly and did such a good job that I called the company to compliment him. They assigned him to be my regular technician very time. I ended up hiring roto rooter because they gave me the lowest quote (I got 4 quotes). My technician came out and completed a 4 hour job in 2 hours and save me a bunch of $$!! I will definitely call roto rooter again for my next plumbing issue.

I called Roto Rooter a few times prior to choosing them. The first two times I contacted them, they didn't seem urgent or make me feel like a priority, which was discouraging. However, I finally gave in. They were able to come out and fix the problem for a little less than estimated, mostly because the technician flooded our bathroom, as we told him it would happen if the washer was ran.. He tried it anyways. This actually ruined some items we had gotten from other countries on vacations... stuff we couldn't replace. Even though the issue is fixed, I'm not sold on the company or confident we would choose them in the future. Very expensive and didn't make us feel like they wanted to come out to service our problem.

Technician came in the time frame specified and was great. He identified the issue very quickly. My sewage pump needed to be replaced. He gave me an initial estimate of between $800 - $1200. He left to get a pump and when he came back he said he got one at a good price. Bottom line: my bill was less than the estimate - $703.58!
I was very pleased.

I was in a pinch to find a plumber in Fort Wayne due to roots invading my sewer line. It was a real headache, not to mention the mess! After a quick search on the BBB for local plumbers, I found that the best choice was Roto-Rooter. I called them up, they got me scheduled right in and were out at my house in no time. Everyone I spoke with and dealt with there were very professional and very knowledgeable. They used their waterjet system and made the pipes look like new, I was very impressed. If you are having an issue, look no further!

Hello ... A review? ... gladly! I live in Ft. Wayne and needed a plumber. Well, they did the job, BUT had no respect for the home, or any concern for cleaning up after themselves. I had them ""Roto-Root"" my root-plugged toilet and bath drainage pipe. The gentleman arrived late ... half hour after the 2-hr window. He did not wear any kind of shoe covers (like heating & air service personal do). His boots were brown with mud (or worse) ... and across my beige carpet he went, to the bath. No sheets were spread down to protect the carpet from the equipment he rolled in and out several times ""to drain"". The caps that cover the toilet anchoring bolts were missing after he had gone. But left in the bathroom after he finished was dried mud and debrie. No effort to clean up. There was even brown spatter two feet up from the floor on the wooden bathroom doorway molding. Nice job!

Oh, and did I mention that I had him replace the bathtub ""trip lever drain assembly"" while he was there. $135 for the 15-minute job -- and afterwards, the tub does NOT hold water -- so I still had to take the assembly back out and adjust it properly. Thanks for nothing.

Process from setting appointment to the technician coming on site everything was very easy. Technician called ahead to make sure he had correct information/equipment, was very professional while on site and very thorough in his work. Tech 170 was the technician that came out to perform the work.

Roto-Rooters Plumbers 10/26/10
I called Roto-Rooter to come look at my dishwasher that would not drain. They sent someone to my house within 30 minutes and he had the problem fixed within 15 minutes! I would say the service and time frame was outstanding! The only negative would be that he went ahead and fixed the problem without giving me a quote for how much it would cost first, so I was surprised when he told me it was already fixed and what the cost would be. It would have been nice to know that before he fixed it so that if it had been out of my price range, i could have let him know.

I was very happy to get my work done in a short time the guy was very nice and seem like he know what he was doing. the only thing i didn't like was the cost i throught it was a little much,but i guess i'll love with it.
