I was very nervous to hire a crew for our home. This is the first issue we have ever had and it ended up being a major project with extensive damage. They were so helpful and came the next day to assess the damage. Very high communication and overall they will be my go to for any future needs.
Just had Justin here, he was amazing. My toilet tank stopped filing. He removed the old toilet and installed a new one...in under 2 hours, this includes des the time it took him to run out and purchase the new toilet. He was polite and professional.
RotoRooter came over within 30 minutes of me calling and really saved the day. I just moved in my home 9 days and found my basement flooded. I made a call and they came ASAP to handle the problem. Rudi and the plumber discussed everything with me first and explained in great detail what my issue was. Rudi also called my home warranty company and let them know what was happening. I would highly recommend them and will use them again if needed! Although I hope not too lol..
I had a fantastic experience with Roto-Rooter thanks to Zach and Cory! They got my sink back in perfect working order and were incredibly polite, helpful, and professional throughout. Their sense of humor made the whole experience surprisingly enjoyable, which isn't always easy when dealing with plumbing issues. Highly recommend Roto-Rooter and especially these two if you're looking for reliable, friendly service!
Hired them to replace line from house to septic tank. They broke our tank and refuse to do the right thing. I ended up having to file a property damage claim against Scott's insurance. His insurance paid the cost of a new tank and landscaping. Glad I took pictures of the machine on top of the tank! Do not hire them. If you are forced to video them the whole time.
Details:
Our septic tank has been regularly serviced/inspected with no report of broken concrete debris nor mud the entire time we have lived here. That is until you replaced a pipe to the septic tank. When you left our property we had a hole in the top of the tank and broken concrete and mud in our septic tank.
They brought a bobcat E50 onto our property. A 5 ton machine with an overall length of 219 inches and width of 77 inches to work in a very small inclined area around our septic tank. A reputable company with common sense and experience working on septic tanks would have shown due diligence and used nothing larger than a bobcat E10 for this very small inclined area you were working in. The E10 is a one ton machine with a length of 110 inches and width of 28 inches.
Then they drove the large 5 ton machine over the septic tank as witnessed by the homeowners and photographed. The photo is of the machine on top of part of the septic tank. Working in such a small area with such a large machine it was inevitable. In addition we have photographs of the resulting track marks over parts of the tank and through the hole.
Next to attempt to dislodge the pipe from the house to the septic tank, they placed the bucket of the large 5 ton machine on top of the pipe and applied pressure raising the 5 ton machine on two points of the treads. The bucket slipped off the pipe and fell feet into the hole around the pipe resulting in the entire weight of the 5 ton machine dropping on the ground on/near the septic tank. This impact shook the house. Total negligence and lack of respect for our property. A brand new septic tank would have been broken due to the large 5 ton machine and your use of it especially in this case.
Ultimately you broke the concrete of our septic lid by using a 5 ton machine negligently in a very small inclined area which caused it to fall in and damage the rest of the tank making replacing the lid not an option per the inspectors/health department.
You said you would replace after you saw the damage which includes track marks, broken concrete debris and mud in person. We thought you were doing the right thing. Then you never followed up with us. When we then did our homework and got things in order to properly repair with a certified septic installer and informed you we were proceeding and cost with the expectation you would pay. You then attempted to blame the customer's tank instead of figuring out what your guys actually did and looking at the evidence. We are entitled to be made whole with a septic tank up to health department standards and the cost of landscaping as we had before you entered our property since you did not due your due diligence to ensure our property was not damaged, not to mention driving over and dropping a machine on/near a septic tank are negligence. $1000.00 or you bringing your bobcat back to install a lid does not make this happen plus the later actually violates health codes and speaks to your professionalism and morals of even suggesting.
You attempting to dismiss and ignore customer eye witness reports and evidence in this public forum displays the level of customer service you have provided us so far and continue to.
I have called them many times during a busy holiday season and have had reliable consistent service at a moments notice ,professional and very reasonable rates, the office staff went out of their way to accommodate our situation .
Stephany S.Had them come out two years ago since son was flushing baby wipes and just needed to clear that out and it was 200$...ok that's a bit pricey when you can rent one at Home Depot for like 70$. Then have a problem now and called to get an estimate and hilarious! The price is 391$ wow. No thank you. I can't believe people are paying roto rooter 400$ to do something that will take 15 min and then it's done and fixed.
Sheryl S.They charged me $300 in labor for a garbage disposal replacement that literally took him 10 minutes to do. That is after he knocked off $100 from their regular price. Totally ripped off, but they were already out and we needed it done right away. Will never use them again.
I had been having issues with slow draining pipes and I had another company out and I wasn't really happy with their customer service. But they told me it was the main drain that was clogged. Because I am financially tight right now I thought I would rent a snake and do it myself. After a few hours of frustration I thought I was OK but the drains were still clogged. So I called Roto-Rooter in Akron and they set me up with a free service call to diagnose the issue that same afternoon. AJ arrived earlier than the original time they had scheduled with me in the morning and with a smile on his face. I have to big dogs and I warned him that they were hyper and just wanted attention, and he treated them nicer than any service person who has been in my home. I explained to him all the troubles I have been having and the things I tried on my own and what I thought it may be based on the small amount of research I did and he was polite and said that with the different issues going on it was hard to pin-point anything specific. He recommended a camera scope of the pipes to find the issue and completely explained all of the cost break down and the process he would do. When he scoped the pipes he found the trouble to be the main sewer line. He quoted me accurately and throughout the whole service he explained everything step by step and gave me good advice for maintaining my house plumbing going forward in the future. I'm grateful for this because I am usually a DIYer and I know I can seem like I think I know everything but he was super polite with me and allowed me to see the screen where the clog was and everything! I feel like his service was outstanding and the costs were very upfront and fair. He completely explained the warranties to me as well and gave me his card with his number if I have any issues. Oh, and he cleaned up after himself (not that he even made a mess to begin with) but in general he was very neat, organized, clean and efficient. I not only plan on using Rotor-rooter (specifically AJ) from now on but will suggest to everyone I talk to to do the same as well! Thank you!

We had a basement drain backup on Sunday morning. I gave Roto-Rooter a call and a real person answered the phone. She helped connect me with A.J. Karder who made it to our house very quickly. A.J. did a great job diagnosing and explaining the problem as well as our options for repair. Very much appreciate the quick response and great work.
