Amy H.Excellent service but I thought very pricey for snaking a clogged pipe. We had work done in another location that was 1/2 the price for the same service. They must charge by zip code. The more affluent the area, the higher the cost of service. Repairman was very friendly though and gave us tips on how to prevent future troubles.
We were overwhelmed with the quick and thorough service Roto-Rooter provided. We had water (possibly sewage) leaking through our ceiling due to a toilet issue on Dec. 26. They were able to come out that day, which surprised us given it was the day after the holiday. In addition to sending out a plumber, when they realized I needed to remove a portion of my ceiling quickly they were able to send out their restoration team. If I had hired a smaller plumbing company or contractor I would've had to find someone else who could do that work. The two teams worked together to get the problem addressed that day, worked with me through the insurance claim, and provided exceptional customer service by answering additional questions over the phone when we had them, as well as returning on each of the next two days to check on the clean-up. We were extremely impressed with the experience.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I wasted 1/2 day off from work waiting for someone who couldn't even make the 4 hour allotment time to give an estimate. Really? They did call @10:30 to say they were running late but as time went on it was apparent they scheduled too many jobs and it put their technician behind exponentially. Ultimately, I had to cancel @ 12:30 and was not happy. Do not recommend and will take my business elsewhere.
We had MIKE CRIST from Roto come to our house in an emergency circumstances; we had a blockage issue that was a source of problems for us for years that we couldn't solve, and to make matters worse, it was day after Xmas. After years of snaking, jetting, etc, we finally found this gentlemen ( thru Roto) that we deemed SUPER MiKE-! Not only did he work harder than anyone I have ever hired ( came at noon and left at 10pm!), but found the source of our verrrry SERIOUS problem ( a broken sewer pipe under the house!) and then he RePAIRED it!!! Which included 2 cameras all over our plumbing and sewer system and lines and then finding the source of issue, He then jack hammering concrete, finding the EXACT spot where it was broken, and took out bad portion of pipe, replaced it and BOOM... The surgeon was successful! Unreal, AND the nicest, warmest guy you will ever meet... Roto Rooter is sooo LUCKY to have him-!!! Super Mike--!!
Came out to Bay Village quickly on Christmas Eve and augered our main drain to clear it and get the toilets working so that they would not back up into the basement. Cleared another drain that had been slow for awhile. May have to have the main line video inspected as the plumber said it was only 3 inches instead of four and several offsets that complicated the clearing of the main line.
Danielle C.I just had roto rooter out to my house today. My service technician was Derek and he was outstanding!!! He not only took the time to make sure the problem was fixed but also explained everything to me. He was professional and extremely hardworking. I would definitely use roto rooter again and request Derek!
Michelle P.After a stressful week with our sewer issues, I highly recommend Roto Rooter as an excellent plumbing contractor. They may not have been the cheapest, but their customer service was top notch. From start to finish, these guys were great. They respected our property, respected our dogs (Major Plus), and explained everything that was going on along with our best options to correct our issues. We were also impressed with their promptness. They arrived when they said they would and were finished when they said they would be. The guys that came out to our house were Mike (He came out first to snake and camera the drain), Jim (supervisor), Carl (foreman of dig crew) and I didn't catch the name of the poor kid that was down in the hole but he was very young. They were all execptional and if you are able to request someone specific, ask for them! Great job guys!
Cory R.Overpriced and lazy. 8 months ago, a Roto Rooter plumber came over to my house to check the pressure on my gas pipes to see if it was possible to have a gas stove. He spent 30 minutes checking the pressure and it didn't even hold pressure for 1 second (should have been a hint!). He was happy to charge me $250 for doing nothing and left. Fast forward to today, I was doing some maintenance on my furnace and I looked up. I saw a dead end gas pipe that the end was completely opened and not sealed off! In open air in my basement ceiling! I traced it back right to the line that would go up to my stove. I feel so foolish now for letting him take advantage of me like that. I already bought an electric stove and now it's possible that my gas-line can hold pressure and now I have to test it again. It should have been a dead giveaway that it didn't hold pressure for even 1 second.
AVOID at all costs. Don't make the same mistake I did and throw money down the drain.
Denise M.I had the unfortunate opportunity to need the immediate services of a plumber this past Sunday afternoon. My tenants called me at work to tell me there was ""water"" backing up out of a pipe in the basement floor. I knew that could only mean one thing: a clogged sewer line. Naturally on a Sunday, of course. Since it was my rental house I also knew that I had to act fast before things really got out of hand. Were it my own home I would have done some price shopping first but I knew there was no time for that. Called Roto Rooter right off the bat. Walter arrived about a half hour late but was neat, thorough, and professional; doing all he could that night and delivering the additional bad news as delicately as possible. Although it was a Sunday I was not charged time and a half and he even cut me a break on his bill knowing that I would be needing additional camera work very shortly. The next morning I called back again to Roto Rooter to verify that Walter had reported to them as he said he would to schedule the camera work for the following day. This time it was Russ and he was even 15 min early! (Having been let in by my tenant). His camera work confirmed the suspected (and dreaded) bad news: old clay sewer pipes shattered to bits Again because this was a rental property; I immediately committed to having Roto Rooter do the necessary trenching and replacing of the line without obtaining additional estimates. Russ verified that he would actually be the person doing the work and he be on site in two days at 9 am. True to form he was 15 min early again and was hard at work when I arrived. Both Russ and Alan worked neatly and consistently through the drizzle the entire day leaving not a trance of evidence that they had even been there by the time they finished except the large (but again exceedingly neat) row of dirt running the length of the front yard (and the large hole in my checking account). Could I have gotten the work done more cheaply? Without a doubt. Could I have gotten it done more quickly, seamlessly, neatly, professionally and with less damage to my landscaping? I doubt it. And how do you put a price on that? Thank you Russ and Alan.
Dale M.I just had my toilet fixed by John 2723 (his Roto-Rooter number). He was very professional and came to my home within the time window of two hours. He explained all of the charges in his estimate and possible outcomes that might occur in getting my toilet to function again with appropriate pricing for the job described.
I was expecting a higher bill than he actually stated which pleasantly surprised me. Before he left he made sure that my toilet was truly working again. I would want John to be the one to do any plumbing that I might have to do.
