I called at 3pm because we had been dealing with a backed up sink-this backup went to our main line. Anthony, our technician, diagnosed the problem and fixed it by 5pm. He was awesome. The service was invaluable, but it was also a great value! Totally recommend.

As new homeowners, my husband and I were scared when we noticed a leak in our basement. Having heard wonderful thiNHs about Roto-rooter, we quickly set up an appointment and they had someone out the next day. Unfortunately, our repair was more complicated and we had to get insurance involved. My one star review does not reflect the ability of them to finish a repair as they did so with much speed and thoroughness, it reflects everything that happened after. Our repair cost a pretty penny and they failed to continue to respond to us or the insurance agent after multiple attempts by us and the agent to obtain the final breakdown of everything that was done. Roto-rooter simply charged my husbands credit card the full amount as listed on the estimate and then stopped returning phone calls. Because of the lack of transparency with the repair on Roto-Rooters part, we did not get reimbursed the amount we should have and now are stuck paying off a $12000 credit card bill. We will never use them again, and I warn anyone that is in a similar situation. If it's not a simple repair, don't call them. They just want your money.

Richard Meadows always comes correct with great helpful info and makes sure everything works correctly before he leaves. Grade A experience. The Dispatchers have been misleading and unhelpful 3 out of 4 times. I was scheduled to have a technician come by from 2-6pm. I called after 4pm then they sent an eta update at 4:30. 2hours passed every time I called they lied with a 15-minute eta or got disconnected finally Richard arrived around 8 pm. If I hadn't called in We probably would have never been served.

RUTHLESS AND SHAMEFUL: That's how I would describe Roto-rooters actions and behavior.

I was quoted nearly $15,000 BY Roto-rooter for a plumbing problem that only required a $12 part to fix.

Roto-rooter cleaned out a blockage in my sewer line, which cost me $600. Blockage cleared - all good, right? Wrong. Here's what happened next.

The next day someone from Roto-rooter came out to put a camera down the sewer line so they could ""inspect the repair"" (notice the quotes). After the ""inspection"" was done, I was told to repair the line, it was going to cost nearly $15,000 for a full line replacement -- and it might even cost a lot more if they have to dig up the road - as high as $40,000 or more. I won't give the person's name but his Roto-Rooter title was Excavation Field Supervisor.

As a result I obtained two second opinions: one confirmed that there was no additional blockage or obstruction in the line and the other vendor confirmed the other problem in the house (there were two total problems) could be fixed with a ""Gripper"" cap on my sewer stack - and won't cost me $6,000 to $7,000 as Roto Rooter stated. The cost of the gripper cap? Approx $12 at Lowe's, and it fixed the problem successfully.

Shameful, ruthless (and potentially predatory). That's how roto-rooter does business in my experience.

worst service ever They cannot get there job done and just want money their machines are broken The worst service experience and the worst customer experience ever the job they were suppose they didn't did and now to do the same job they are offering me new price I was what why pay extra for something they cannot do it in first. Worst ever company never ever will suggest. I'm business owner myself I was looking for good plumbing service company for all my business they lost me in their first job cannot trust this company ever.

Roto-Rooters customer service is super friendly and helpful. However, their prices seemed higher than expected. The technician came on time and was very nice, but he left an exposed outlet hanging under the sink which is a huge fire hazard. However, someone came back as soon as possible and fixed the problem.

Today we realized we had no idea how to install a sink after our counters were installed. So we were in a panic because our main water was shut off and if we didn't get someone out ASAP to fix it we were not going to have running water until someone could. Dave and Mike showed up within an hour of calling and gave a quote within 5 minutes of being here. They were incredibly professional and helpful and installed the sink, cleaned up the mess from the counter installation, tested to make sure there were no leaks, turned the water back on and did it all with a smile! I truly appreciated their amazing attitude, professionalism and prompt service! Mike said that Dave is the wizard and I wholeheartedly agree! Thank you so much!!

I can't even give them one star. We had both toilets backed up in the house on Mother's Day. I called at 1 pm and they said someone would arrive between 2-6 pm. They were good about calling to say they were still waiting on a technician throughout the day. This went on until after 4 pm. Then they called and said ""no one can be there until Tuesday morning. Is that okay?"" So much for 24 hour service

We hired a plumber to come fix our sink. They came out to check it and needed to get confirmation on the quote. They then typed in the wrong address and rather than call us, they just deleted the order. Upon getting a new appointment they showed up to fix a small drip and get our hot water working. The guy took an absurd amount of time and went back and forth to his truck multiple times, but that is expected. What wasn't expected was that each time he went to the truck, he walked so awkwardly slow he could've been walking backwards and then sat in the car taking breaks. When it came time for the bill he charged 150 in parts and over 950 in labor for 3 hours of work. This was a rip off and borderline theft. Choose anyone other than these people.
