A gentleman came at the beginning of the time window given to me. I explained the problem and he gave me an estimate of $450 (it was a big problem affecting the kitchen sink not draining at all). I was shocked at the high estimate but said ""Ok but what if you can't fix it/clear it?"" He said that has only ever happened one time in my 16 years doing this and their policy is no matter how long they are at your house if they can accrue the problem there is no charge. So I said ok!
He got to work he snaked and snaked and tried some more. He was here for almost 2 hours, and he was so upset that he could NOT clear the problem. And guess what? NO CHARGE!! So our issue was his second time in 16 years of not being able to solve the problem.
I gave him some cash as a thank you and to get himself lunch etc whatever. But if I ever have issues like that again (I hope not) I will call this company first!
My problem was later solved by septic installation company. Our drywell line was blocked from the outside by tree pressure (which we had to remove) and years of the previous owners junk stopping up the line.

The service provided was that of excellence. The repairman was certainly an expert in his field of work. He arrived and immediately assessed the problem and after explaining the problem and what was required to correct the problem, I gave the okay, and he proceeded to rectify the problem.

Of course, our sink backed up mid-Memorial Day Weekend and we had guests. One call to Rotorooter and Mike came out to clear our pipes. He was efficient and very easy to work with. He let us know what he was doing and why we had experienced the issue so we could avoid it in the future.

We got our sink back in time to host our gathering. Whew! Downside is cost. It was $450 as soon as he walked in our door. No estimate can be provided over the phone.

Had a block in the main drain (hindsight) and a leaking shower basin since the flange/seal was broken. Roto rooter tech (sparing his name) turned up, did some superficial check, diagnosed it as a drain clog problem first - Initial cost 429$, which suddenly became 629$ since he will have to remove the pot to rotorooer it!. Cant be done any other way was the reply to repeated questions.

He never even bothered to to check under the crawl space as to what the plumbing looked like. Fixing the shower basin drain would be another plumbing job with separate estimate. Everything he said sounded suspicious and a quick buck attitude to me.

Long story short, someone else did both jobs for 500$, parts included, same evening! Excellent response and work ethics to complement. No removal of pot or anything complex. The shower drain needed a complete change of the drain flange and pipe assembly which was a lot more work than unclogging the drain.

No Rotorooter ever if they have techies like that.

Orlando from Roto Rooter went above and beyond to try to clear my toilet. I had dropped a wooden dowel from the toilet paper holder and it flushed. Orlando told me that if he couldn't get through he would have to take the toilet off and he would have to charge much more money. He tried and tried and was telling me where he thought the wooden dowel was but he would have to take the toilet off. I was very upset because I am in a horrendous financial situation because of medical bills and this was going to put me under. Orlando shook his head and said let me try again. He worked and worked and finally brought the dowel back upl. I cried with relief. I will now pass the word that Roto Rooter is the best!!! Thank you Orlando!
