Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I called Roto-Rooter to clear two bathroom drains. The service technician was very nice and did a good job cleaning both drains. However, the charge for 1 drain cleaning was $390.00 plus tax. The second drain was serviced at no charge. The initial cost was almost $700.00 and when I did not accept that kind of charge, it was lowered to the $390. When I initially called to ask the price of drain cleaning, the secretary said it was not possible to give a price until the technician could see what the problem was. I understand that but feel that a minimum charge should be made available to the consumer. I will not use Roro-Rooter again as I believe they seriously overcharge for their services. There is another company which will do the job well for about $200.00. Service - fine. Prices - outrageous!

I had Roto Rooter come about a stopped up sink drain. Two guys came for this rather simple one man job. They worked up a quote of over $650 saying it was because of 2 guys working and also adding all the time they sat in the truck calling my warranty company and whatever which was about an hour doing nothing. I would never call them again especially after finding another company that did the job really well for $200

so i was trying to do an update on roto rooter. We apparently thought our toilet clog was fixed but later on that night as we went to use the toilet for the first time it is still acting clogged. We called them at 11.30 to let them know.They sent a new technician out and it got crazy from there. Ryan told us that the other guy should have taken the pump apart at 326.00 to do an estimate instead of running the line. I dont know. He wanted more money after last night when we gave them 500 bucks. Anyway, i he didnt run the line again and assured us that if theres anymore problems we probably need a new pump. Were just wanting them to run the line again and put an attachment on it so it actually breaks it up and clears it, not push it farther up the line, because the problem is not fixed still and its acting clogged. Its really sad when you cant count on your local vendors.

The workers were prompt and very knowledgeable. They got my water back online, in no time. Took a lot of the stress out of the situation.
